Great Green Screen Starter Kit for Beginners

Very pleased with my green screen and lighting kit. Only wish the light bulbs were just a tiny bit brighter. It came with three color cloths: green, black and white although I was more interested in the green one. 4 sets of lights and a huge stand to hold the cloth. Everything came inside the black bag very organized. By the way, be extremely careful when you open the delivery box with a knife. The knife went through the box a bit to deep and actually damaged the carry bag for the kit. Anyway, I did my first green screen videos and pictures with my kit and was able to place any background I wanted behind my pictures and videos. Here's one example project I did with a photo using Paint.net with a Chroma Key plugin installed. Very pleased with how it came out. Really getting great enjoyment and usefulness from the kit for my marketing videos.

So far so good. It does it's job & I can can't complain. The stands are light metal, so I wouldn't use them outside on a windy day. But my inside studio they work well. I had 9 backdrops at one time on my bar & it held nicely with the clips. The Muslin backdrops I wish were a little bigger like 8X11. But they work. I even washed them. I used a water spray bottle to spray them to get the wrinkles out & let hang over night because they comes folded. It's like a big sheet. They do have pockets for pole, but I find it easier to use clips to remove faster. Good carrying bags. I have got some good light & don't use a flash. I would recommend for beginners like me. Eventually I would love to get a trigger flash. But for now it works well. Natural light

Incredible Deal for Cost and Items in Package! I was hesitant at first due to other reviewers, but glad I bought it!

A lot of previous purchasers complained about the quality of the product, be it the green screen frame or the lights, missing parts, quality of the bag(s), and the three muslin that came with it. It made me hesitate wanting this item, but then after reviewing several in the same price range, I took a risk and pulled the trigger. This set is incredible. It may not be industry grade, but it is exceptional. The lights are bright enough to work really well. All the piece came with the item. Yes you can use both soft boxes and umbrella lights at the same time (nothing is missing). The bag(s) that came with it are good enough. I've used them repeatedly as I tear down the set after every use and put them back in the back. The muslin backdrops do not have a scary powder/residue, they are just fine. I bought a steamer to remove the wrinkles for every use. The frame is sturdy enough for indoor use. I'm sure you will need sandbags for outdoor use. I've shot two clips using the green screen, and using Premiere I was able to chroma it properly. It's all about the lighting and I used the lights that came with the package. I haven't used the clips as yet, but they seem to be fine as well. All in all, you get what you pay for. Understand that you are buying a low end, great quality ensemble that would costs you in the thousands if you went professional with each item. For the low cost, it is quite durable. As long as you are patient you can assemble, the package easily and if you are meticulous and careful this package can and will last for a while.

A Start Up, Not a Finish

I'm a natural light photograper, living in a place of 4 seasons you need to accept that you can not control the elements so sometimes things must be done inside. This is perfect for keeping it up permanently in my indoor studio with my other additional set ups. I am not sure why other reviewers were complaining of lack of instruction and quality. First of all, a professional set up costs thousands of dollars (sometimes in the 10s of thousands), so with this set up, you literally get what you pay for. I mainly bought it for the framework as I can always reinforce or DIY an add on if needed. It really only takes common sense to set this up. I have purchased other Neewer products before so am familiar with their function. Most cheap set ups like this are exactly the same, just a different name stamped on the pieces. If you are planning to pack it up and move around to different locations, know that this will certainly start wearing down on the joints and break down over time. This is better as a permanent set up. It was bigger than my living room so I'm happy that it will fit perfectly in my basement with room to expand on the frame. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Now I can slowly add more lights to my collection.

Perfect package setup for beginners

I’m not a photographer nor am I aspiring. I bought this so I can take pictures of my daughters at home. I don’t really know anything about how this equipment should be used so I am winging it. I love the extra light it brings into my photos. The backgrounds are cloth so be aware they will need to be steamed. Comes with lightbulbs and everything you could need as far as I am concerned. I have put this together 2 times and used my iPhone 8 to take a couple practice photos instead of breaking out the DSLR. I am happy with the results.

Super Good for the Price - Has Everything I needed and works very well!

Not the heaviest, highest quality but for the price I think it is fantastic. I'm just careful not to be a Bull in a China Shop, they don't fall over unless you hit them! And the whole thing works well! The background cloth is a little wrinkled, but the items I have photographed so far are away from it enough for me to easily edit the faint lines. I found it easy to set up - takes a little time the first time, to figure everything out - of course! - but after that its easy. I'm happy with this set. Oh, and I bought an extra set of light bulb holders, for the umbrella stands, after I read the reviews. You don't need them! There are four in this kit.

Just What I was Expecting

I debated buying this set up for months, read every review and eventually bought it. I am extremely happy with it. The green screen is perfect for filming one person. The lights and the tri-pods work great. They are not heavy duty but this is what I expected for the price. There are travel bags but if you travel, know this is very delicate. I personally bought it to set up once and that's it. Set up was extremely easy, these guys should teach Ikea about set-up. The green screen does have fold marks but I put in the dryer with a steam refresh. There were still normal wrinkles which freaked me out but overall it did not ruin my first test video. If I could redo my studio this package would be included but.... I would buy a lavalier microphone with a longer cable, I am going to paint my walls green in the studio but would still buy this unit for the lighting and 3 different backdrops it comes with. I am extremely satisfied with this green screen kit for price and functionality. To me these are 3 most important things for green screening, 1. Software ( i use wondershare) 2. A good camera ( I use my phone, Google Pixel XL3 ) 3. Lighting ( I obviously use this green screen kit for lighting.

Excellent starter kit, (Updated) exceptional Neewer support

The build quality is good though gauge of metal parts at first seem thin questioning durability however that does make for a light, portable kit thats easy to transport. Have tried the green and white backgrounds and they worked perfectly (used a steamer to remove wrinkles which worked well) -using Zoom virtual backgrounds with this green screen are noticeably cleaner at the edges with no shadow artifacts. The florescent coil bulbs provided with the kit flickered/flashed when they heat up (5 minutes), the light level drops dramatically and right out of the box, they are unusable. [Updated] Neewer reached out to me to apologize for a possible bad batch of bulbs and to make good on replacement bulbs showing they do stand by their products!

This is an amazing value for the price. The components are definitely on the cheaper side of things but I can see that if I care for it and don’t abuse it with careless use it will last a while. You need to be careful with the tripod stands as my hand almost got caught the first time I assembled it and this is an amazing value for the price. It took me about 90 minutes to set up the first time and it only need the instructions once or twice, the rest was into it when I was able to figure it out.
