I recommend this toy
Oh my goodness, so this toy is heaven sent lol. My baby was crying and when I pulled this out, the light from the cheeks distracted her and she started laughing. My daughters 3mos old and she can't hang on to it but she chews on the ears and loves the sound it makes :) so I don't mind that she can't hold on to it just yet. I recommend this toy :)

Perfect size and has a variety of music
Baby rattle is perfect size for travel. You can put it in your baby bag and when you find yourself at the doctors office and baby is getting restless, it definitely comes in handy. The size of the rattle fits in baby/ toddlers hand just perfect. It's not too loud and does have an assortment of music. The ears crinkle which makes my daughter go nuts over it. I'm so very glad I purchased this item and the price is unbeatable.

I think it should be fine if your baby knows how to sit up
I bought this for my nephew and he loves it. The cheeks light up and he it plays a ton of different melodies. The only downside I would say is it is a bit heavy so when he starts swinging it around I'm scared he can hit himself with it and possibly hurt himself or drop drop it on his face when giving it to him while he's laying down. I think it should be fine if your baby knows how to sit up.

Light-up puppy cheeks
My 2 mo old loves this rattle. For now we save it as a last resort and use it when he becomes really fussy. I can tell he loves the lights on the puppy's cheeks. I'm sure he'll get a kick of the toy when he starts being able to pick it up on his own. Update: it's been two full months we've been using this toy in the car (that's his least favorite place to be) and every time I turn on the puppy and my son looks at it hi gives me a huge adorable toothless smile :D no exception, even if he's been crying. I guess I can say for sure that the puppy is his favorite toy.

Cute dog
I ordered it for my 2 months old baby and he loved it! At first, I thought he wouldn't noticed it because of his age but when you touched the red cheeks and the music starts to sound and the lights turn on he immediately keeps fascinated by this cute dog. Its construction is sturdy, so its durable. Right now, he cannot hold it with his hands but he enjoys it. His eyes are wide open staring at the lights and the talking sound of the dog.

Great for the car
I love that my son loves this toy. When you are stuck in traffic, and your baby has the wiggles in the back seat, and you obviously can't pullover and get out of car; I can hand him this toy and he is as happy as a clam. This toy is ours of entertainment. I will worn you parents though that as much as my son loves it...it is the most annoying toy ever as a parent. It is loud and the songs and sayings are repetitive, but I would choose an annoying toy any day over a crying bored baby.

Happy little puppy!!
Easily one of our top toys. We didn't want to give in to electronic toys but our son loves anything that lights up and I was looking for an interactive rattle-like toy. The bottom rattle part is fairly underwhelming as the center rod is tough to grab for learning hands, although the black parts are a softer rubbery plastic which make it GREAT for chewing on and the beads do make just enough noise to be noticeable but not annoying. This toy does a pretty fantastic job of teaching cause and effect. After showing our son that moving the beads on the center rod would set off the sounds and light up the puppy's cheeks, it was all over! He's love this and been batting away at it since 2mo and is now starting to grab at it, chew on the rattle part and tries desperately to coordinate his little 3mo fingers to press the button on the collar that triggers more elaborate songs. I'd strongly suggest this if you're looking for something that has the grab and enticement of an electronic toy but isn't altogether void of any developmental interaction/motor skill development. Oh and it does also eventually time itself out which is nice in case baby falls asleep with it or it gets left on the floor and you inadvertently kick it in the middle of the night ;)

CUTE RATTLE AND KITTIES LIKE IT TOO
I got one of these for my niece out of state and her 3 month old baby. Of course I had to play with it myself - it was super cute. I liked the fact that when you rattled it the puppy would start talking or singing. I left it on the couch for a second, and when I came back our cat was staring at it completely mesmorized. He figured out how to shake it and get it to talk to him in a matter of minutes. He put his paw on the package and tried to bite me when I tried to take it away. I let him play with it for about 20 minutes before I was able to get it away. At that time, he was curled up next to it and sleeping. SMH. I'm ordering one for him today since I had to mail out the other one. SO...I guess I would recommend this for kitties too if they like toys that make noise and light up. Just saying.
