FINALLY FINISHED!!
I have gutted my bathroom and I bought this boat paint to paint and waterproof the paneling in the shower and also to paint the old original shiplap ceiling. The first day I painted the primer was very hot and the paint dried too soon and the smell was awful. My fault. It has cooled off a little and the Topside paint went on beautifully. The smell is not half as bad and the coverage was good. It takes it's time drying as acrylic does (2 days) but I am happy with the product. Here's a few tips for getting the paint off of your hands if you didn't buy all of the right products. Wash your hands with a layer of hand soap and a layer of fingernail polish remover. Follow with baby wipes and a good hand lotion. The hand lotion seems to lift some of the paint off ( enough for you to let go of the brush!!) and with another squirt you can wipe off even more. Haven't installed the new shower panel yet so the waterproofing test will be next week!

Pool Slide
I used this product to repaint a pool slide, it does a good job for that. Very glossy finish, looks wet when it is completely dry. I would suggest however that if you want the best final coat, to get the thinner. The paint is very thick and can be a pain to brush on for the final coat, I would have been happier if I had gotten the thinner and been able to go over it with a final coat that was thin and easier to put that perfect finish on. You need at least 2 coats to look good but a third one would have been even better, kind of like putting on the last coat polyurethane, you want it thin and spread a bit more evenly.

Great, self smoothing paint.
I just applied my first coat of the paint, and I must admit that I was very pleased with how it smoothed out and covered. I did add the recommended thinner, which probably helped the paint flow as well as it did. I applied this paint with a 4" foam roller, followed by tipping with a bristle brush. I did find that you must only work a small area (12" x 18") at a time or the paint would be too dry to use the brush. I also used the brush from the dry edge to the wet edge, and there are nearly zero overlap marks left. I will probably apply a second coat after I am certain the the first has adequately dried. I was painting the bottom of a 12' fiberglass boat which will not be kept in the water unless being used. The rest of its life will be on the trailer. One quart will be sufficient to apply 2 coats without any problems, with a little left over for minor touch ups as needed. The top of the boat will be painted Largo Blue, and I am anxious to see how cleanly I can get the seam between the two. If necessary I will just apply a black stripe over the entire junction and be done with it.

Looks nice
Looks good not great, I thought it was going to be a glossy finish and it's not but still looks way better than before. First coat wat a little thick, I rolled it on then brushed it. Wasn't happy with it because there were a lot of brush lines. Sanded a little with 220 then did a second coat adding thinner, rolled on much nicer and brushed much nicer, I rolled one entire side then brushed the entire side starting from the front to the back with one stroke to leave zero brush marks. And the packaging was great.

Brush you Use Most Important
Three main factors to consider, from my POV. First is primer and surface prep. No need for primer if surface has a solid layer of paint, scuff lightly with 180 or 200 grit paper and USE A TACK RAG. Second factor is a quality brush...Purdy has oxtail brushes, unless you have or can find real Badger hair ones. On boats, a two inch is fine. You may need to thin the paint a bit; brush evenly and be careful of drips. When wet, it's best not to paint over what you've done. Wait and apply second coat. Third factor is weather....be careful and check the weather reports. Sorry, this is supposed to be a review of the paint, which I found very easy to apply and dries to a nice sheen. Can't comment on wear; boat is not in water yet. Customer support is excellent, don't guess, ask.

Refinished Old Pool Slide
Nice paint. I used it to refinish an old & faded fiberglass pool slide. Color is great (Classic Whaler Blue) and it smoothed out well when using just a brush to apply. You need to work carefully and quickly when painting to smooth out runs as they appear. The paint skims over quickly (even when thinned) and because of this I ended up with several dried runs in my finish - operator error, no fault of the paint. May lightly sand and do a second coat, but coverage was good with a single coat. Also used TotalBoat Marine Topside Paint Primer which I found difficult to work with. I found out the hard way it needs to be put on extremely thin, otherwise it doesn't cure correctly and stays soft and gummy making it difficult to sand prior to the top coat.

Perfect color match for DuraNautic boat
I bought a quart of the sea foam blue to restore my โ71 DuraNautic boat. The paint was so badly faded and worn that i put it up for sale and no one wanted it. The WetEdge paint was an absolutely perfect color match and very easy to apply. I brushed it on thick and rolled it out with a small foam roller. Comes nicely thin out of the can and cleans up with mineral spirits. I did a whole 14 foot boat with less than a 3rd of a can. So happy and now I donโt want to sell the boat ๐

Just finished and she looks great!
Overall this paint is awesome! A couple of things, first, the packaging was nice, it will come with a couple stir sticks, gloves and plastic pails, how nice! Second, it's kinda thick. The first coat I put on only slightly thinned and it was good. Today I screwed up and got it a little too thin or so i thought. It went on super easy and covered well. I used a brush to frame in then rolled. It dries very fast so work in small increments and you'll be fine. It's definitely got a nice finish as it dries. For a '78 boat we were "gifted" with last year, a fresh coat of this paint really made it look beautiful!
