great scope for 28$..read the reviews and the questions..this scope will work on everything firearm wise but is a crossbow reticle. The focus ring is under the lens cover as you can see in one of the pictures. im shooting a 330 fps barnett crossbow, the cross hair is on at 20yrds,30yrds is the second hash down and 40 yrds is the top of the crossbow reticle..came with the batttery and the rings.mounted right up...didnt take long to zero..you wont see the red/green on bright days..dusk and dawn they light up nice..seriously like this scope...might get a couple more for my shotgun and rifles i have...you wont be dissapointed with this and its 28$...hope this helps anybody on the fence about this scope...never even heard of pinty scopes before but its a real good scope...wasnt happy with the amazon packing job..big box and one air pillow in it..could see how somebody might gt a damaged scope probably what happened to the one review some lady wrote and showed a pic of the crosshairs out of wack...

Nice heavy scope. Doesn't feel cheap. Comes with everything you need. I had some problems finding where to put the battery but then I used my brain. Looks good on any gun.

Got this for my son's airsoft sniper rifle. Amazing accuracy! Shot at target 8 times and only have 5 holes. First 2 we're dead on the bullseye. The illumination on the scope is awesome. Very well made!

I have just received this scope and mounts and have yet to put them on my rifle. I have looked through the scope and am pleased with the image that I see, clearity and the workmanship so am anxious to try it out and will update this when I have done so. The mounts that came with the scope do not fit my rifle and that is one reason I am slow to comment further.

I put this on a high end air rifle a few weeks ago and I haven't had a bit of trouble out of this scope after 50-60 forward recoil shots. I'm impressed with the reticle and with the clarity of the optics. This is one of my favorite scopes already and it gets the job done nicely.

Works great. This scope has not fogged up on me at all. Pinpoint accuracy, very easy to sight in, really nice illuminating green or red crosshairs with built in horizontal lines for distance (although I leave mine black because I'm old fashioned). I love the fact that it comes with hollow scope rings so you can attach field sights on the rail and use them for short distance shots and the scope for long distance shots. It has also held its zero and that's with almost 400 rounds through my 783 Remington .308 Winchester. All I can say is If you need a really good scope and have a little bit of money you would be cool not to buy this one. I would rather go for performance any day over the name. This thing performs as well if not better than some of the $500 and $800 scopes. ( namebrands of other scopes not given due to legalities that I would rather not have to possibly go through. I'm sure you can come to your own conclusions given the price range provided.)

When one considers the price, the construction, and the features of this scope, five stars is easy! If it were installed on a rimfire rifle, the recoil wouldn't be an issue. But even on a Gamo Big Cat air rifle, it's not a problem either! The only glitch in me replacing the original scope (more like a Coke bottle) with this Pinty 3-9X40 was my air rifle had dove tails, and these mounts will not match up. A Weaver or picatinny rail will accept them. I merely used the mounts from the original scope, and that worked perfectly. It took 6-7 shots to zero it at 50 feet. Spin out the focus on the rear until you see the crosshair clearly, and you're ready to have fun! The colored reticle choices work best in low light. Great value, and that's coming from a Nikon fan.

Great scope at less than half the price of big box stores cheapest comparable scope. Mounted this on my Horton Brotherhood crossbow as an upgrade to the red dot sight. Package came on time and didn't have any trouble sighting in. Took a nice doe on my first trip out this year. I am impressed with the quality for this price. The only negative I found is that in low light conditions the light from the lighted reticle can wash out your sight picture but the unlit crosshairs still work fine.

Replaced the stock optima scope on my Hatsan 95 Vortex with this pinty. I didn't expect much since it was so cheap. I am pleasantly surprised. The scope is heavy duty, and seems very well built. Nice and clear, holds center very well. It also looks great mounted on the Hatsan. I've fired over a thousand shots with this scope mounted and not a single issue yet. The illuminated reticle is very nice for night shooting. The only negatives are the lens caps are cheap and fall apart easily, and it only comes with 20mm mounts. I just used the original optima rings and mounts for now. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. I see no reason to spend more $ on an air rifle scope.

Mounted on my Ruger 10/22 over 6 months ago. Still sighted in perfect at 100yrds!
