Works as advertised
Holds firmly onto the jaws of my 4" bench vise by way of embedded button magnets, and these do protects the finish of the clamped object exactly as expected. Although I was skeptical over how long these would last and hold up over time, I've not had any problems with material failure over the past six months of regular use. Only one minor nitpick: because these are held in place by magnetic force, at times they can be inadvertently shifted without much effort when adjusting the work piece being clamped in the vise. I suppose that's more on me than these jaw liners, but sometimes I will get into a 'groove' when working on whatever it is that I'm working with, and I'd rather not intentionally slow down just to keep from bumping the liners out of alignment. That's the only real complaint that I have about these.

Solid product, won’t mark or damage finishings.
I bought these because I needed a way to hold items tight with my vise, while making sure the items won’t get scratches or blemishes. Using two pieces of wood can sometimes get the job done, but we all know is not effective 100% of the time. So, along cake these cool nylon jaws. I am very impressed about the design and functionality of these. First, the material is a solid nylon that will not scratch the finish or coating of on surfaces. I used it to tighten a barrel, punch, and drill for a gas block, all that time, the barrel was secured with these jaws... the barrel finish remained intact without a single scratch. The jaws have four magnets, pretty strong, and they attach well to the vise. These jaws can be used two ways, there are two flat and grooved sides. This helped me position the item in angles while maintaining a secure grip. I should have purchased these long time ago. If you like building or maintaining sporting equipment, you can’t go wrong with these. I am very happy with this purchase.

These are excellent Vise Jaws for lower receiver work.
These are excellent Vise Jaws. The material is a hard nylon/plastic that feels similar to a PMAG. The four small round magnets are placed perfectly and hold really well. The vise jaws locate with a nice, slight snap as the magnets stick to your vise. If you're looking at these vise jaws you know what you want to use them for and they'll do a great job doing that. What I like best about them is that the angles to the cutouts for clamping round items are larger and can accept bigger diameter round material. I was going to buy a Geissele Reaction Block to grab receiver extensions on lower receivers to tighten castle nuts but these vise jaws fit a receiver extension perfectly and easily hold tight enough to torque the castle nut without leaving any marks. I'm very satisfied and you will be too unless you prefer a soft, rubbery material to clamp stuff into your vise with. But if you do, just use your soft rubbery hands!

At last
I had needed these for a long time. Turns out you can't just go down to a hardware store and pick up a set off the shelf. The closest I got was a 6" set made of soft rubber which worked sometimes but not if I needed something kept immobile. I discovered these by accident on Amazon and wish I had found them long ago. I can now clamp metal objects and hold them securely without fear of scratching or defacing them. This product has a solid feel with strong magnets to hold it in place on the vice. I am highly pleased with this purchase and highly recommend them to anyone who has a need for such an item.

Great for metal work and jewelry design
I ordered these to use in metal forming for my jewelry designs. I’ve already used them to drill holes in some of my pieces and saw some heavy gage wire and I couldn’t be more pleased. The risk of scratches and dents has always been an issue when attempting to secure my pieces and this greatly reduces that. I never knew they existed or I would have bought them a long time ago. How handy that they are magnetic and just pop into place. I’m really happy. Also happy they arrived quickly and the owner contacted me to make sure I was happy with them.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I am thrilled with how these work and hold work without marring the work being clamped in my vice. I was skeptical that these not being metal might not hold up well, but I am genuinely amazed at how well they work and I have no issue with them being damage, no matter how tightly I crank down on the vice. I love that they have a fairly smooth side and the other has groves for holding stock at zero, ninety, and forty five degree angles. I was also concerned about the magnets attracting metal filings and being a bugger to get off. There is no way around having the convenience of holding the jaw vice protectors using magnets and having them attract metal filings. But I was able to easily get the metal filings off by using a rag with litting remaining. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great product to make life easier!
Ok, I've had these jaws for a week or two now but just now got around to using them for the first time. I have both of the smaller Harbor Freight vices. One is the smallest bench top one they sell, the other is the larger of the ones that can clamp to a bench and rotates 360 in each direction. These jaws fit nicely on both. The jaws are very well made, and there are two magnets on each jaw that allow you to position them either way. The magnets are great, it keeps the jaws in place and sure beats trying to hold squares of rubber against the jaws like I used to do! The jaws are a tough nylon and I don't see them every wearing out. I used them this time to do a trigger job on a Marlin 795 rifle. One part involves putting the hammer spring back in, which is under a great amount of tension. The piece didn't budge and was held perfectly by the jaws. Everything I used before allowed the piece to move a small amount and made the job much harder. Definitely try these out, I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to get a pair!

Excellennt for gripping without marring
So far, this is a 5-star product for me. I haven't used it a lot, but I'm finding some good things about them as I do use them. First, the magnets are very strong. In other words, these stay in place. Second, they have 2 faces. One is smooth, and the other is not "some catch pattern." Those patterns are indentations (detentes?) for holding pieces in various angles. So the smooth, of course, is for flat stuff you don't want marred. The other allows you to hold rounded objects safely, and at various angles as it protrudes from the jaws. I found that today by accident. And for the vertical position, there are 2 sizes of detentes for larger vs smaller round objects. For example, today I was trying to "chase the threads" on a piece for a tool that a previous owner had boogered. I had known that this face helped that, but not all the various angles at which you can hold things: horizontal, vertical, and angled. Third, they seem Very strong. I'm not about to put them to the test, but these are not "just plastic." They seem to be made of a composite material. Lastly, the flat sides meet as clean and true as your vise jaws meet. They provide a crisp, clean union where they meet.

Long-Lasting Multi-Purpose Jaws
I have had these for quite a while by now and have used them to hold all sorts of materials and shapes. The plastic is on the hard side--think of it really as plastic, not rubber or anything like that. And as such I have used it to hold large metal parts for sawing and filing operations and the parts don't budge whatsoever; yet I have also held other plastic parts without any marring or damage to the part. The magnets are plenty strong to keep from moving when opening the vise. Only downside of the magnets is that they attract metal filings, but there appears to actually be a slot you can stick a flat screwdriver into to pry out the magnets if you really wanted to. But I have left them in and have had no problems whatsoever. I did a decent bit of research before buying these and still believe these are the right choice. Have held up very well over time and haven't lost their shape or become worn away.

Great Product That Delivers As Promised!
I bought 2 sets of these, a 4 inch set, and a 6 inch set. Both have worked flawlessly. I like the different angled V cuts for holding a work piece horizontally, vertically, or at a 45 degree angle. They are also reversible, allowing me to use their flat smooth side. The magnets are great, and keep the soft jaws held firmly against my vise. I have really cranked down the vise with crushing force, and they don't have a mark on them. Both sizes have prevented my work from getting scratched each time I have used them. This is a great product.
