An Important Tool for Proper Aquarium Maintenance

This product offers me a lot of comfort in determining the health of my aquarium water. TDS consists of any minerals, etc. that are too small to be filtered out of your aquarium, so even if my water looks clear it can be deceiving. I test it regularly with this meter and if my TDS has increased, I know it's time for a water change. My goal is to maintain a steady TDS number. Although I conduct weekly 25% water changes, the TDS meter is a double-check system for me since it's impossible to evaluate my water by its appearance. In addition to my standard weekly water tests for PH, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrates, I can take a TDS reading daily if I want to because is so convenient. You just dip the meter into the water for an instant reading. No need to fill a vial and mix with testing solution and wait 5 minutes for results. The meter is also easy to read, and has a "hold" button so that it will retain that reading result in the event you prefer to read the number after removing it from the water; otherwise, it will return to 0 immediately upon being withdrawn. I think this is a great product to add to your aquarium maintenance regimen.

INEXPENSIVE AND WORKS GREAT!

The inexpensive device quickly and accurately reads the PPM for any water. I found out immediately my kitchen tap is at 265 PPM, the same water filtered by RO and final filter is at 33 PPM. Then I use the Zero Water filter which always reads Zero PPM. Just what I need.

Working great!

Our window cleaning company uses a DI cleaning system which requires the water to have no more than .0006 TDS (total desolvable solids) and as such we use this tester daily. It’s been working great! One great feature is the auto shut off if not used for 10 minutes. No worries about wasting batteries.

Seller followed up a few weeks after purchase to ensure everything is working properly! The meter is very easy to use, and seems quite precise. I find it an indispensable tool for monitoring fertilizer/waste levels in my aquarium so I know when a water change is needed, and to gauge whether or not I'm fertilizing at the proper amounts.

Got it to monitor the water quality for my carnivorous plants. Works great so far, my rainwater is less than 50 ppm, and I haven't killed the plants yet, so it's all good!
