Nice amplifier unit
This thing pretty much has it all including the ability to literally smoke the speakers I have on it if I am not careful and I have Klipsch speakers hooked up to it. It sounds pretty good for what it is and the function it needs to fill. It has preset EQ settings I find the stock setting sounds best. It also has bass and treble adjustments and FM radio . I bought it for the Bluetooth ability when friends are over and we want music playing in the background I can control it from around the house no problem, I also like the SD card and USB inputs too, You can also plug two mics into it and use it for PA or whatever. My only complaint is the bright blue led lights everything is using now they are slightly annoying. Other than that its just what I wanted and if you are thinking about it go for it it wont disappoint (unless you get a dud that is).

I am amazed by this Amp/Receiver. Far exceeded my expectations
I was about to give my old Bose 301 speakers to Goodwill, when i thought to myself "Self: there are no tunes in the barn, either in my workshop or for the horses" Streaming bluetooth from my iPhone won't cut it since the range is all of 30 feet or so. I set my iPhone on the workbench and we all know that doesn't end well. Need to get a cheap receiver that will drive these speakers OK. Be nice to have my favorite FM stations playing whenever I want, even if I'm not close by. Be extra sweet to stream from my iPhone ion I wanna too. So I mounted the Bose 301's on the wall while waiting the 2 days for this Pyle Amp/Receiver to come. I didn't expect much for $60 bucks. It came in 2 days. Installed easily, but ran into a classic quandary these days. The Chinese to English instructions were very lacking. What the heck do you need instructions for your saying? Its all digital FM, so you need to search for the channels you will have available BEFORE you can really do anything. Then it simply will cycle thru them in order of find. either with the know, or the remote. Once you figure that out, I was literally blown away with the sound. Oh yes do they drive those old Bose 301's. I was afraid they would shake off the wall. The Bluetooth was easy to set up and pair with my iPhone so you can stream all your music (within bluetooth range that is). I have a couple old iPhones. I'm gonna fill one with music and leave it in the barn, but have my FM tunes as well. Parting thoughts: Only time will tell if this holds up, but not much to go wrong with a digital receiver. We will see if below zero temps in winter slow it down. It does me. I see why this unit gets such good reviews. If your in an area of poor FM reception, this may not be for you. In northern OH I picked up 40 FM stations. I can't figure out any presets, but I only listen to a few anyway. NO AM stations, so be aware of that. FM receiver only, with Bluetooth streaming from your own device and a USB and memory card slot for MP3's

GREAT VALUE, couple of peeves.
The good: - Price: you can't beat what you get for the price - Sound: very nice, clear and crisp, full range. - Bluetooth: perfect, easy to set up - Form factor: perfect in small size for what it does. - FM radio: one button and all available channels are programmed. The annoying or bad: - Remote control: it's a piece of you know what. Remember I mentioned how great the FM radio program button is? Well it's on the remote one of the most prominent locations, below top right labeled "EQ". Not good easy to hit by mistake. Volume up button only works up to level 30. Power button on remote only puts the unit on standby, all lights remain on. - lights: seriously annoying blue LED without any way to turn off. At night, it's very annoying. - Power on/off: always defaults to "no disk" mode as if it was a DVD player. You have to click mode to get to Bluetooth or radio. Does not remember the last mode. Only way to really turn unit off is to hit the mechanical button (not the remote)

I usually do not look at 1 star reviews and ignore all the bad reviews about slow shipping items that arrived broken but ...
I have had this item on my wish list for about 8 months. I was a little hesitant to order based on some reviews (I usually do not look at 1 star reviews and ignore all the bad reviews about slow shipping, items that arrived broken but were replaced, as that is not what product reviews are for.) The low cost of this item gave me some pause as it seemed like it claims to pack quite a bit of a punch for the price point. However, I finally purchased it and I am happy that I did. This little amp/receiver is awesome for my new wet bar. Not only does it look nice it functions rather well also. I was worried that it would be too quiet but I have not even turned it up half way yet and its to loud to think. On top of that, when it was loud, it was not distorted. All the knobs and buttons look and work great. The only thing that could use some attention is the Bluetooth connectivity. It connects effortlessly and plays sound fine. There is an antenna in the back but it might be beneficial if Pyle made that a little better. I was able to play music from my cell phone about 8 feet away but when I moved the phone around to change songs, it would start to hiccup. Once I put it back down, it was fine. From a few feet away its fine. All in all, great little item here.

geek to appreciate it
This is a great amp / receiver. But you need to be a geek to appreciate it. My wife would never put up with it. For one, the Flash drive mp3 player, Bluetooth, FM radio is a subsystem, listed on the source selector as mp3/bt. (I guess they ran out of room for "/fm".) (and this is what the remote controls, not the rest of the functions.) And yes the blue LEDs are way too bright. I'm a geek, so I can deal with the controls, and I covered up the LEDs with black electrical tape. I'm happy. I was comparing the Pyle to the Yamaha R-S202BL Stereo Receiver, which is more normal, and more appropriate for someone like my wife, but it looked needlessly big, less features, and was twice the cash. I've had it for over a week now. I use it to play CDs and DVD audio, Bluetooth from my phone, and FM radio. All work great. It has plenty of power. I have some old high quality Tannoy Monitor reference speakers, and there's no problem. When I get to about 10 o'clock on the volume, it's loud. I've haven't gone beyond 11 as I'm an old fart, and don't want to destroy what's left of my hearing. Also I don't want to blow my speakers out, although I'm probably being way really over protective here. It also runs cool, no problem ventilating, which was a problem I had with my 1990 receiver it replaced. I'm sure at some point I will use the USB MP3 player, but I doubt I will ever use the Mic and Echo features. I've had good USB MP3 player experiences on another Pyle amp I got. So given my reservations about the funkiness of the controls and too bright LEDs, it's a 5.

Strong Stereo Receiver - Great Price - Packs a PUNCH!
Outstanding little receiver. There are only two speaker "out" connections, but the device generates enough power that I just spliced two speaker wires together and connected a total of four stereo speakers. The Bluetooth range is limited (weak signal) as noted in other reviews and the power light is very bright. There is an FM tuner in the unit and it's a little clunky to set up - but it works fine with the included external FM antenna. However, the key criteria for me were price and delivery - it was a bargain at under $90 and delivers powerful sound. I'd definitely buy it again and highly recommend it.

A little scare on volume then paradise!
ok, bought one for my workshop and loved it from the first glorious note on the little wall DUAL speakers! YES...no wifi there so not streaming and that means I can't speak to bluetooth capabilities, but to put a stick in with a pile of tunes on it and work to random selections of my favs is just fantastic. So, I am a massage therapist by trade and was sick of the CD player repeating the same old CD over and over then not "seeing" the new disc when I put it in...having to reboot all the time sucked. Yup, got another one of these for the office. First opinion was oh, crap...because I couldn't get the volume control to go low enough for use it as soft background music. UNTIL I came to look at questions here...and realized there were volume questions about the remote. DUH. I ran in, grabbed that little bugger and YES!!! It dropped the volume down to an acceptable level for my office. Now I am dancing happy with this unit x2! Still don't know if it will do bluetooth and at this point don't CARE. I am happy with the sound, the instruments are clear and the cello is lovely, the flute has beautiful rich tones, and so does the piano and the banging blues tunes. Happy happy me!

Solid sound...Great price!
We purchased the Pyle PTA44BT to serve as the source for our whole-house stereo system. When we bought the house, the speakers were already installed, but the previous owners took their amplifier with them. After reading the specifications posted for the product, we thought this unit would best serve our needs...and it turned out we were right. Installation was a breeze (just hooking up the speaker wires, actually) and the unit instructions, although spartan, were certainly adequate to get us started. Blue-tooth pairing was simple and the unit was able to pick up most local radio stations on auto-scan. We hooked up three pairs of speakers, and all three could be played simultaneously without distortion. I would have appreciated AM reception as well, but that can be gotten through an iPhone or other streaming device. Other reviewers have chided the manufacturer for irrelevant issues such as damage during shipping. I cannot vouch for Pyle's customer services--as some reviewers have mentioned--as we did not need to avail ourselves of them. For the money and the capabilities, this unit would be hard to beat. An audiophile might be able to quibble on some features and capabilities, but for the "average" listener, this unit is well above average. Recommended!

Great little all-in-one amp with plenty of power
This is a powerful little all-in-one amp. It plays MP3s seamless off an SD card or USB drive, or through Bluetooth. It also has a built-in radio. I hooked it up to a pair of Pyle ceiling speakers and it packs plenty of power. The volume knob doesn't even have to go up much. I have not tested the microphone inputs, as I do not need them. I hooked the device up first to my phone to play some music and turned the knob up about a third to get some good volume. The volume on the phone was at about 80%. I then loaded some music on both a SD card as well as an USB stick. It just about blew the speakers it was so loud and had to turn the volume down almost all the way. The display is great straight on, but can be hard to read at an angle. This amp will be sitting on a high shelf in a studio so we'll see how that turns out. As far as the size, I wish it was a bit wider and less deep. Even though there are a number of things that could be improved on this little amp, overall I am very pleased with it, especially for the price! Pros: Packs a lot of power - You hardly have to turn the knob to get lots of volume. It packs plenty of functions in a small device - USB and SD inputs, CD & DVD inputs, line output, speaker outputs, folder and track selection, shuffle play, good bass and treble control. Cons: Most of my cons are related to the remote. The remote is very small and could easily get lost. The volume control on the remote is not great; you can turn it down (30 to 0) and back up to the volume level the knob is set to, but not higher. The knob is not motorized, so it doesn't control that. Turning off the device with the remote puts it in standby mode. If you turn the device off with the power button, you cannot turn it on with the remote. The other con is the Aux input on the front. I hooked it up to my phone and had to turn the volume up a lot more. When you switch back to SD or USB, it could blow the speakers. I won't be using the aux input. The display can be hard to read at certain angles.

... 5 stars because of all the options available are great features to have on an amplifier
I rated this stereo amplifier 5 stars because of all the options available are great features to have on an amplifier. I have used it now for 14 days everyday for about 5 hours a day without a problem. The hook-up and how to operate it is really easy. Just play with it if you can't figure what you're trying to do. The user manual tells you only the basic operations, the rest you must use your common sense. It works for me! Every buttons & knobs work like it should be. The best feature I like is the USB port for playing my music. There is really nothing here to not like. The only thing that annoys me is the bright power button light. I covered it with blue masking tape & it cuts down by 50%. This is really a nice & excellent amplifier to have because of its size & what it offers. You can't go wrong having it with the low price they sell. Excellent!
