Great Saw - poor instructions and packaging.
poorly packaged with oil all over the container. Once I got it assembled, I used it to saw several small trees and it worked great. I have the Ryobi 10" pole saw that is put together very similar to this one, so assembly was easy. The instructions suck.

Handy but not too powerful
This little machine is handy for small jobs in the backyard. Do not think you own a real chainsaw but for small trimming it is super handy.

Super little chain saw
I used this saw finally to de a few medium to small trees in preparation for holiday decorating. Holy moly batman: This little saw really got the job done. I expected it to go through batteries like water but I cut down and chopped up 4-5 trees, each about 4-5 inches in diameter and still had life left. Some people complained about oil leaking. I never had that problem at all. Yes this isn't a 12" gas chain saw and won't fell larger trees but, for what it is designed for, it does very well. I am finding that the Ryobi One product tool line is really well thought out and well done. Love them! I own a circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, chain saw, hedge trimmer, and leaf blower. ALL of them have exceeded my expectations

Paid for itself after just 1 day of some serious yard work. It cuts saplings, heavy brush and decent sized trees w/ relative ease. Being lightweight is a bonus, too!

Works great
Bought larger battery and it works great. Does leak oil per previous reviews.

THE QUALITY OF 'RYOBI' PRODUCTS.
I LIKE THE LIGHT WEIGHT-ALTHOUGH IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT WAS A COUPLE OF INCHES LONGER ON THE CUTTNG BLADE ! BY THE WAY THE LI.ION BATTERIES ARE FANTASTIC. ALL SEVEN THAT I HAVE ARE RELIABLE !! THANKS AGAIN. GORDON DOWN.

Handy Helper
If you have medium-growth trees in your yard or heavy shrubs, this is the best tool you will ever pick up. It's not for felling timber, but rather for lopping off that offending branch that keeps hitting you in the head while mowing. Since it is a Ryobi, I always have a charged LiIon around. No getting the right gas-oil mix and hoping it will start. Plug in the battery and pull the trigger. Plenty of power for up to 6" so far, hard or soft woods. Well balanced even with the big P-122 battery pack. This one is a keeper.

Perfect for weekend warrior stuff
I have a big back yard with lots of landscaping. I have trees of all sorts and every year I need to trim. This chainsaw is perfect for the job I needed. I can cut through branches as large as 8 inches in diameter with little effort and Almost no noise!

Perfect for light work
This is a light duty chainsaw. If you want to go lumberjacking get a gas powered item. That being said, I live near a park and got tired of using an axe to cut fire wood from fallen trees. So I bought this. It cut (haha) my work time by tons. It is a good little chainsaw. Lightweight and easy to handle but it still goes through oak and hickory as easily as pine. I am happy with it and Kai bros. Got it from Ohio to me about a week before I was expecting it. The instructions state that a 7" diameter log is the widest you should cut. I've used it to score logs for the fire pit but I wouldn't tackle anything beyond cutting firewood and trimming trees. It is perfectly suited to that duty.
