My 1.5 year old son looooooves this flashlight. It's shaped just like his dad's maglight, and he carries it everywhere. It's not so bright that it will hurt his eyes, but bright enough that the light can shine on our vaulted ceilings. Easy on-off switch for toddler hands and a very cute bug design. It's so adorable. Oh- and after a week with it my son can now say "flashlight"!!!

My toddlers love this flashlight. I ordered this in addition to another smaller flashlight they use so they can each have one. The light is not bright if flashed in your face which is great bit is enough to see. My oldest enjoys using this to light her way to the bathroom or into our room at night.

The first one I received didn't work. Amazon shipped a new one out ASAP with no questions asked. GREAT customer service. My 3 year old loves playing with his flashlight and searching for "treasure". He has dropped it multiple times and it is working fine. The button has to be pushed over to the on position. He had no problems with that operation since almost all of his toys are that way. Cute sturdy flashlight for small klutzy hands.

Basic, cute & safe little flash light. Yes, it’s a bit flimsy and the light flickers off every now and then, but my kids have also flung it across the room, off the bed on hardwood floor -you name it- countless times and with a little shake it (so far) has always come back on again.

I bought this for my 3 year old flashlight-obsessed son. He uses it to "read" books in bed. I seems to be durable and does the job. The only complaint I would have is that it doesn't turn off automatically, but that actually makes my son happy (the kind that do turn off automatically frustrated him), and we've only had to switch it off when he fell asleep with it on once.

Works well. Light isn't too bright which is good for the kiddos especially when teaching them not to shine lights into people's eyes. :)

My nephew just turned 2, got all sorts of elaborate awesome presents but i honestly think this may have been his favorite. He is at that stage where he love being able to push buttons that cause a reaction, especially light. So now that he had his OWN little light, the need to constantly want to use the light switches has decreased. Who knew such g a simple toy could be the highLIGHT of his present.. lol sorry couldn't resist the bad pun

This is exactly what we wanted for our 2 1/2 year old grand-daughter. She loves playing shadow figures and now she has her own source of light and the light is not so bright that it's dangerous as we teach her not to shin in faces. Have never been disappointed with a Melissa and Doug product.

We use this as a toy exclusively when changing Diapers. Keeps our little one occupied so he doesn't toss and spin and keep his hands out of "messy" areas. The flashlight is bright, cute and colorful and sturdy!
