Awesome Purchase! Fits 2002 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab Tailgate

I bought this pair of cables because one of my tailgate cables was rusting and needed to be replaced. What a great purchase! Installation was easy as pie, probably 15 mins for both. I also want to mention that this kit comes with two plastic washers and one metal washer for each cable. I REALLY appreciate that! When purchasing new parts like these, I don't like having to reuse old and worn out washers. One of the plastic washers is quite a snug fit, but it is the correct size. When both cables were installed, I didn't notice anything off about them. One review said the tailgate was slightly angled down due to the cables being slightly longer...I didn't notice that at all. Overall, very happy with purchase. Highly recommend!

Easy to install, just the right length for my 97 Tacoma

I worried that an aftermarket replacement cable would be the wrong length. It wasn't. Same length as the existing cable that wasn't broken.

This is the part. I had ordered another brand and they lasted less than a year when the plastic housing started to crack and then the cables started to rust. These babies are flexible, fit much better with good movement and they fold up nice and hidden when the tailgate is up. They cost a little more, but so worth it!

Fits 2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner

Installed in less than 10 minutes. No instructions but its almost the same as stock part. For those less experienced, its bolt, plastic washer (big hole), cable, metal washer and then plastic washer (small hole).

These are high quality - look like OEM. Finish on the metal ends is precise and polished. These are $5 more than the cheaper ones they sell here, but I think worth it. About 1/4" longer than my originals, so lift gate is on a very slight downward angle now, which you would not notice unless you looked very closely from the side.
