So happy with my purchase! It's extremely sturdy and holds my decorative glass birdbath/feeder without tipping at all. My old one was too thin and just couldn't do the job. I've only had it a few days, so I can't comment on the rust resistant claim. But, I am totally satisfied with my purchase and would recommend the hook!

very substantial

Very substantial and sturdy hooks - more so than I expected. Have 2 Dyna Traps that I will be hanging from these so I did want something substantial for them. These will handle the weight of the 5+ pounds with ease. I tested one with a bird feeder full of seed and it did very well - no bending. Update 6-23-17 Much more substantial than my other ones - now I am disappointed in the ones I already had! Just received the mosquito traps and have one hanging in the front of the house - looks quite nice. Getting ready to set up the second one.

Solid!!

They dont look strong in the photo, so I took a risk. I am SO glad I did, as the photo doesn't do the hook justice. They look really nice and are VERY strong, solid and classy!! I am very happy adding my Mickey Mouse Bird House to the beautful hook. Waiting for the mulch to go in and I'll forward a proud photo. Great buy, Great price for a quality item! Thanks.

Very pleased. The tree

Yes I am enjoying them. I Hung solar lanterns on them. Very pleased. The tree, is memorial tree for our son that passed two yrs ago, last week. The hook with the lantern, fiished it up nicely. Sorry it took me so long. Forgive me.

Good deal

I use these as target stands for 3 and 4 inch ar500 plates. They are sturdy, economical, and work well. They have been struck many times by bullets (22 and a few 9mm) and don't pit or dent from them. They will destroy the powder coat, but it's easy to spray paint them every few trips. I'm considering purchasing a couple more for my yard I like them so much. FYI, these are sturdy, but won't support a lot of weight... maybe 2lb max. You won't be hanging planters from these.

Shepherds hooks are great quality and durable! Definitely worth the money! We are using them for our wedding and we hung a 1 ft length lantern perfect height landing right at the top of the chairs we had set our for ceremony! They could hold small planter, lights, etc. pretty much anything you would like it to!

STRONG, QUALITY HOOK

I ordered this hook to hang a cool metal spinner that I purchased this summer for my balcony garden. This shepherds hook was the perfect height for my 3 piece spinner. I was thrilled when I saw the quality and how solid this hook was. Unfortunately, the high winds on my 11th floor balcony kept knocking down the hook in my planter, flowers and all. I loved this hook so much that I ordered a second to try to create a double hook design that would not topple with the wind but it did not work so i had to return both. Anyone who has a big planter or lantern, etc. this is your hook. I am giving them 5 stars anyway: Quality, quality and quality.

Ashman Black Shepherd Hooks - perfect!

I purchased 2 of these exact same hooks a couple weeks ago and had them shipped to California and will open that box when I visit my family. In the meantime, I ordered 2 more hooks for my own home which I received today, they are perfect, exactly what I wanted. They are very sturdy and perfect for hanging 2 colorful solar lanterns I purchased from another site. I would highly recommend these 48 inch Ashman Black shepherd hooks.

But I'm satisfied with the value

This was purchased as a Christmas gift. It appears to be solidly made, arrived quickly and was packaged well. I can't attest to how well it holds up with use since I'm not the one using it, and it's probably not even going in the ground until the temps get into numbers beginning with 5s. But I'm satisfied with the value, quality, and overall experience with this seller. I'd recommend it.
