I have been looking for a natural brown sugar substitute that did not involve sucralose, aspartame or Ace-K for years and could never find one. This stuff fits the bill! As the other reviewers have noted, it looks and tastes just like its traditional counterpart and does not have a significant "cooling effect" like many erythritol-based products. Highly recommend!

I love this product! I didn't even know there was a brown sugar substitute like this. I have only used it in my oatmeal, and it's great! No calories, but tastes like brown sugar! I can't believe my local stores don't carry it. I haven't tried it in baking yet.

Heaven on Earth. This stuff is truly AWESOME and tastes just like golden brown sugar. I use this in my paleo and keto cookies. With a glycemic index of just ONE, you can't go wrong. If you're on a low carb diet and love to eat keto or paleo baked goods, you NEED this in your life. Trust me..

Great taste and perfect product for a brown sugar substitute. Would recommend for those on the keto diet!

To be clear, it's not brown sugar, so don't expect an exact match. But it's closest match I've found so far. I used brown sugar in almost every recipe that called for white, so it's nice to finally have that same flavor profile again after eliminating sugar from my diet. I am pleased with it, and I just purchased a second bag. I can finally make blondies again with this product and coconut and almond flours!

I love having a sweetener where I don't have to worry about the calories or the taste and this one provides me with both. Whoever came up with this product should do this to other high calorie foods. Damn those excessive calories found in most foods that taste so good!!! Seriously, though, I highly recommend this product to anyone, whether they're watching their weight or just want to be healthy. It's not like Sweet 'n Low or Splenda or Equal. This has Stevia in it, which I am a big supporter of and use whenever a sweetener is required in a recipe. I know some people say they can tell the difference between the "real" deal which, of course will spike your glucose level, and Surkin. That may be true, but for someone like me who has been using artificial sweeteners for a long time, this satisfies my sweet tooth just fine. In fact, I've been using Stevia for so long, consuming real sugar is a turn off as it leaves an aftertaste in my mouth now.

Man I wish this stuff wasn't so expensive, because it is SO GOOD! I put off buying this forever and kept using plain erythritol, but this really is worth having around for low carb/low sugar baking. It gives that subtle warm brown sugar flavor that you just can't get from plain sweetners. I've used it in a cheese cake crust, and in keto chocolate chip cookies and it's great.

This product tastes EXACTLY like brown sugar! I was very impressed with it. There is a minimal cooling effect from the erythritol that is only really evident when tasting the product out of the bag. Once its used in cooking the cooling is nearly untraceable. I make a special hot and sweet buffalo wing sauce that I learned from a local restaurant. Brown sugar is one of the main ingredients and I had been making this sauce for myself using granulated Swerve. It was good but it was still missing something and had a cooling aftertaste. Using Surkin Gold Brown Sugar Alternative, the taste is perfect and the after cooling is gone. Im so excited by the sauce that I cant wait to try this brown sugar alternative in baking! I will definitely be back to repurchase when I run out. 1.1 lbs is also a really great size for the priced which is just an extra plus. Happy carb-free cooking and baking to all!

It's great, and so close to sugar; I taste (almost) no difference. No aftertaste whatsoever, ever so slight cooling which is not apparent once it's in tea/syrup, etc. Sugar in a recipe is no longer an obstacle. Nightly I have my 'dessert' with an herb lemon tea, lemon juice, and sukrin gold to the right tart-sweetness: hot lemonade. I made a delicious syrup with fresh orange zest/orange pieces and juice, water, salt over carbquik pancakes (substituted fat free sour cream for whip cream--carbquik does have an aftertaste, but with the right tweaking, like an intensely good syrup to cover it up, it is not apparent enough to bother me). I also like to make London fog, earl grey with several drops of vanilla, a little half and half, and sweeten to taste. It is expensive. I'm thinking of it as part of the cost of sticking to my diet no matter what, and---the cost of all those last second slips I've made because I was desperate for a little somethin'.

In a blind taste test, you cannot tell a difference between this as regular brown sugar in taste or texture. It bakes like sugar. I put it in BBQ marinades and sweets and asian sauces - anywhere I would want that subtle brown sugar sweetness - and you can never tell a difference. What an amazing quality product. I buy again and again. Worth the steep price!
