Great for 14" memory foam mattresses.

Great for memory foam mattresses. Easy to put together. Just remember that all the slat cups all face up and the other pieces have arrows that say up on them. Takes 20 mins with small socket wrench. Tools that come with it work but the little open ended wrench just adds to build time Update- after a week my mattress started sagging into the slats. Had to add some more metal to close the holes. My novaform is really soft.

I read the reviews on here that were the latest and wasn't sure what to expect. As soon as UPS delivered it today. There was a warning label on the box that says lower your expectations. Label says " Made in China". So I'm able to give it 5 stars cause everything was there and no modifications were needed. Very rare for Made in China. I strongly recommend working from the middle out. Once the middle nuts were on, everything else just slide into place. I had it done in 10 minutes with the 8 screws and 8 nuts. Along with their cheap provided but work tools. Now I'm 6'4"and 427 lbs so now we will see how it stands up. It has a 5 yr warranty.

Excellent purchase, and I put it together without any problems --- highly recommend!

For those of use with very old, enclosed, winding staircases.... this design is a minor miracle! The packaging is super strong, the pieces were all present and in perfect shape. There are stickers with an arrow and the word "Up" to help in assembling the bars together. The directions were almost perfect, however there is one small error towards the end of the instructions where a small/large screw needed to be switched around in the diagram. I'm a relatively strong woman (meaning I can pick up 50 pound bags without too much effort), and this required some effort for me to lift upstairs... so it's manageable for other single ladies, but just be ready to put some muscle into it. After putting it together with the supplied tools (if you have your own hex-key set, you may want to use that instead since this one lost its hexagon-shaped notches at the end under stiff tightening... which is kind of critical), I was able to zipper up the case with no problem and slide it under my foam queen mattress. It works exactly as I had hoped and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Great boxspring, Great Price

This is a perfect compliment to the really thick foam mattresses that are out there. We used this with our Tuft&Needle mattress and it works perfect. There is no noise and it is built like a rock. You can not beat the price for the quality of this box spring. Would recommend to anyone.

Simple to assemble, includes a ratchet!!

I received this yesterday and just finished putting it together. From opening the box to zipping the cover closed it took about 30 minutes. I have a bit of experience with assemble yourself furniture so if you are not experience it may take longer, but it a simple piece and the instruction have big images which make it easy to decipher what goes where. I ordered this because the traditional box spring would not fit down our basement stairs to the guest room. This fit down the stairs easily I’m assembled and if it won’t go up the stairs put together whenever we move out, I can take it apart. Great!! How can I be excited by the prospect of disassembling this thing, you say? Let me tell you. Zinus included a ratcheting Allen wrench. Yes. A ratchet. I am forever spoiled for so it yourself furniture, if it doesn’t come with a ratchet I don’t want it. This made tightening and loosing bolts so easy that I wouldn’t have minded three times the bolts. See the picture to see the ratchet in all it’s glory. We are using this for a traditional steel spring mattress, will report back if there are any complications.

A hassle-free experience to put together and use.

This went together in less than an hour without any frustration, not a single cuss word, no bruised fingers or knuckles and no regrets. Everything you need is included, though you might want to supply your own longer Allen wrench. The metal components are well-made and well-finished. The included cover is fitted perfectly and requires no undue effort to put on. It doesn't creak, squeal or groan when you lay on it. Should we ever need a product like this again, this is the first brand we'll look to. Jerry

Quick, Easy and the Perfect size box spring!

I don't usually provide reviews, but I noticed they make a big influence on my decision to buy, so I wanted to share my experience. When I first opened the box, I noticed all the zip ties in the box were already cut, so I made sure to check everything thoroughly before putting it all together. The instructions were very simple and easy to follow. My hubby was sick, so I decided to complete this task of building the box spring all by myself. It only took me about 20 minutes to put it together and the ratchet tool that was provided made it go so much faster to tighten up all the screws. Nothing was bent and it was the perfect size to convert my daughter's 4 in 1 DaVinci Emily bed. I paired it with an 8 inch LinenSpa gel foam mattress and it's the perfect height for my 5 year olds "Big Girl Bed". I slept on it the first night and it was super cozy and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this low profile box spring.

Very nice. Effective and sturdy.

Don't have much experience with these things but my old box spring which came with the mattress was too high and the mattress obscured the headboard and footboard. I was dubious about buying a kit because all the box springs I've ever had have been properly upholstered and sprung. So this one assembled very quickly and easily, and with the zip-on cover it's actually not unattractive. It's very solid and doesn't sag of course as it's not sprung. My mattress is now the perfect height for the bed although it did look weird to me for a few days. It's firmer than with the original and that took a few nights to get used to as well. Also it's completely quiet and it feels solid and strong. I'm very pleased.

What a Remarkable Box Spring!

What a remarkable item! I needed a low box spring for my new Tuft & Needle mattress. Because it came so highly recommended, i chose to give it a try. It did not disappoint in any way. I had very little difficulty putting it together and inserting it in its cover. Carrying it from the garage to the bedroom presented no difficulties...and I am 72! It has given excellent support to my new mattress. Would I recommend it to my friends...My Family members have already ordered on for their beds. If my Family liked it, my friends will have no trouble with it!

Smart Box Spring

We have a 7 year old boy and this frame seems like it will have no problem holding up under his antics. We intentionally didn't buy a wood slat frame because we were worried about things like crazy jumping on the bed and broken slats. As a bonus it was cheaper than the wood counterpart we were considering. This box spring came broken down in a cardboard box. Once we opened it up, there were tubular metal pieces, screws, nuts, an allen wrench, and a small wrench. It took one of us about 15 minutes to put together. The directions were easy to follow and picture/diagram based rather than words. The tools held up fine for us. The frame felt sturdy. The cover was fabric and zipped into place over the metal frame once it was built. The cover edge is dark gray and looked nice without a dust ruffle. The cover fit well so we didn't have to fight it into place. It zipped on 3 sides. He's been sleeping with his mattress on it for about a week now and reports that he likes it and that it's comfortable. We like it!
