The ironing board is very solid and sturdy, the wings are pretty useful especially when ironing the yoke of dress shirts. I was initially going to buy the Rowenta Pro Board but it seems half of it plastic so that was a no go. I was excited when I stumbled on this board on amazon since it's XL (which really helps with ironing) and all metal, I could not find any other good alternatives at this price point. Customer service was also excellent and extremely fast in getting back to me.

The first board ordered (surprise birthday present) arrived in a battered box with multiple tears, minimal tape and a damaged board. The company quickly responded to our email and offered to send a new board at no cost. We gratefully accepted their offer. The board arrived a month or so ago and I love it! I am a quilter, and the large surface area (for iron and ironing) is a big plus. It is also very stable on our carpeted floors. Parker and Company - thank you very much for your prompt and outstanding customer service!

This is a pretty spectacular ironing board. I got it primarily for sewing. Sewers and quilters should note that the board is nearly rectangular with the shoulder wings extended -- bye-bye rectangular board-topper for quilting. It is wide enough to iron 45" fabric in one go at full width. I got set up, ready to sew and found my trusty old Rowenta iron had just decided to die. It worked for about 5 minutes with the board. That iron was the kind of iron you stand up on end to keep it at a steady temp, and the side table here is made for a horizontal iron with a steam tank. With the old iron I found the side table and cord guide to be of limited use, with the cord guide actually making it more difficult to use the iron -- it was unsteady on its end as there are small silicone nubs on the side table. So, I replaced the old iron with an Oliso, which is meant to be stored horizontally when not in use, and stands up on legs that retract when you pick it up again. This works great --the new iron sits very securely on the side table. I still nave no use for the cord guide, which would be great for an iron with the steam tank. Since I have no plans to get one of steam tank irons, as I have a separate steamer, one more thing will make the board perfect for my use -- I need a silicone iron rest for the Oliso iron, since the front leg that holds it up when placed flat is small enough to fall through the steam-release holes in the side table. If you have a standard iron that sits on end, I recommend this type of silicone iron holder that will allow you to place your iron horizontally. The auto shut-off on most modern irons will switch it off in seconds after it is left in the horizontal position. The silicone nubs on the table might be melt-proof enough for this way of placing an iron, but I don't want to risk marring the perfect surface. As a bonus, there is a side pocket that pulls out for strings, snips and scraps, or whatever small ironing tools you might want close to hand. There's also a rack for hanging clothes. A very well designed and practical iron -- well worth the price.

I bought this for my dad as a gift, he is an avid quilter so the review is his: The Parker & Company Pro Board is not your Grandma's ironing board. It is very well built, strong, and durable. It has some weight to it and I am not as strong as I used to be so I did need help setting it up and moving it around. Once set up and in place I was happy with the size and width. I can iron out 2 yards of fabric on the short end and keep scrolling it down without having to go back and ironing out the whole left edge. It is a sturdy board and since my balance is off, I can lean on it without it collapsing. The board is so wide I can also lower it some and put my cutting mat on it and cut out my quilt squares while sitting down. I am very happy with my new ironing board! --------------------------------------------------------------- Parker and Company's customer service is excellent! I purchased this through Amazon Prime. We had a damage issue with the first one that came from an Amazon warehouse so I did a return and it was shipped back the next day. I re-purchased it a second time and had it shipped to dad's house again. Within 24 hours P & C contacted me via email as they saw the repurchase on their end. I explained the condition it arrived in so we figure we would wait to see how #2 shows up. Within a few days, #2 showed up damaged (from the same Amazon warehouse as #1) so I had my dad take pictures this time and I sent them to P & C so they could investigate what is going on with their product at the Amazon warehouse. In the meantime, P & C sent out another ironing board (from their head office?) through Canada to my dad's house. It arrived in perfect condition. The box itself was a heavier duty box than the ones from Amazon so there were no broke-open ends or punctures. I got the chance to actually see the board for myself when I visited dad's house this weekend. I can honestly say looking at the parts they are not cheap or shoddy. I don't know where they make this but there is no way this was made in China because 1) all the parts have an industrialized durability, the few plastic parts that are on it are really thick and heavy duty (the wings at the top). 2) There aren't any screws.....they used bolts! 3) The ironing board pad doesn't smell of that "chinese funk" scent. 4) It is properly aligned so when set up it doesn't have that weird wobble. 4) Raising and lowering it "glides" it doesn't jam up where you have to fight with it. Quilters...you will LOVE this board! Almost forgot, I dropped off my dry cleaning the other day and they have this exact Pro-Board set up near their alteration station, Moe said he loves it too and he has had it for some time so it is holding up very well and has no complaints he bought a 2nd one for his other dry cleaner shop. There you go 2 Reviews in 1. Thank you Parker & Company for exceeding my expectations on the product itself and your AMAZING Customer Service!

Alright, let me preface this review by saying the following: I hate ironing. I own many non-iron shirts just because I loathe the task so much. That being said, I unfortunately own many shirts and pants that need to be pressed, and that's how the Pro Board and I were introduced. After my last ironing board broke during an unfortunate moving incident, I cruised Amazon in search of a new one. I buy my undershirts, toothpaste, Q-tips, and everything else on Amazon, so I figured an Ironing board wouldn't be too difficult to find. After searching, I was bombarded with 78 pages of results. I had no idea there were so many ironing boards on the market. They all looked pretty much the same, with a few varieties such as over-the-door, table-top, standard... but then I saw it. WINGS. I laughed and clicked the link. When I saw what the wings were for, my laughter ceased and my jaw dropped. Could this be? Could I iron a shirt's back in one fell swoop? I was in too deep now; I doubled-down and read the reviews. Since people seemed generally please with the Pro Board, I pulled the trigger. Since ironing boards are pretty much a 1-time purchase (unless you stack too many heavy boxes on them... RIP old ironing board), I justified the price. 2 days later my board arrived (thanks Prime!). Please see the pictures below to see how it arrived. The board was double-boxed and shrink-wrapped, and I had no issues with packaging or product damage. Set-up was a breeze, obviously. I plugged in my iron and grabbed my J. Crew oxford--time for a test run. Listen, I still hate ironing. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that this board makes me enjoy ironing shirts--I'd rather eat my right foot. BUT, this board makes it about as painless as possible. The shoulder wings work better than I had anticipated, and I actually could do the entire back of my shirt in 10-15 seconds. These wings also help with the front, though. You see, a pet peeve of mine is when I'm ironing the front of my shirt and the shirt falls onto the floor. Maybe I just suck at ironing, but this happens ALL the time. The shoulder wings actually double as an arm-holder when ironing the front (see pics), which actually made me smile. Please note that this was the first time in my 26 years that I cracked a smile while ironing. It's as if the heavens opened up and an angel floated down to gently hold my shirt in place as i pressed it. There are two downsides to this board that I do need to mention, though. 1) There were three small, plastic tabs on the surface of the board. These were not a hindrance, but I did have to cut them off with scissors. It only took me 5 seconds, but I don't know why they were there. 2) I completely lost my privacy. When I gushed over the shoulder wings to my roommates the day I received it, they all thought I was crazy. I challenged my one roommate saying, "You try, bro", and he gave it a go. He and the other two roommates quickly fell in love as the angel from heaven held their garments in place as they ironed. I no longer keep the board in my room, as I don't like the daily ProBoard plunder. Privacy restored :) Check out the pictures below to see how I used it, and if you're hesitating on buying it, I say go for it. The fact that I am leaving a review for an IRONING BOARD should speak volumes. I hate ironing, but this has made the dreaded task easier and less mentally, spiritually, and emotionally taxing. Out of five stars, I give this 6.

This board is Great! came right on the day I ordered it for and just as the pictures described! Being a 6’4 tall broad shouldered person my clothes required the extra width this has and the magical shoulder wings are amazing for the dress shirts. Definitely the one to buy!

This is the definition of a professional grade board. I’m a hotel owner and in the hospitality industry for the last 5 years. This thing has allowed my turndown services, and laundary services to become so much less labour intensive. My employees are actually enjoying ironing with these! Great for productivity and stress relief.

Really like this board right out of the box. However, it is REALLY, REALLY big, so measure your space (especially if you plan to hang it on the back of a door). It just barely clears the floor on the back of my laundry room door so I am considering hanging it on the wall instead. Also, if space or lifting heavier (not super heavy as compared to a couch, but as compared to shorter, thinner ironing boards) items are a concern, this might not be the model for you, as it is quite hefty and could be difficult to maneuver in smaller spaces. That being said, it was easy to open and adjust, and I am in love with the shoulder "wings," shelf for the iron, and space to hang ironed clothes. This only way to make this better would be for it to iron the clothes for me! I was concerned I would be sorry I spent so much on a mere ironing board, but this one is well worth the price if you have the space to store/ use it and the strength to move it around.

Received the ironing board yesterday. I opened it this morning and I am far from impressed... The ironing board lean on one side. When open it is not straight. It has a rip on the side of the cover. The piece that holds the wire is dirty, seems to have known better day. I was so happy to finally found a board that is as large as my old one. But it doesn't do the job. I won't pay that much money for that Their customer service is amazing. It was one of the first time I ever had a problem like that with an item. I think I was just unlucky. They sent me a new one, and it is amazing. The pocket for the remote is so smart. Ironing our shirts is so easy now. I simply love it. Thank you :)

I'm a quilter so my ironing board is REALLY Important. This board is well designed, well constructed and a pleasure to use. It came well packaged and in perfect condition. Definitely worth the price.
