Powerful Suction!! Hasn’t BUDGED since placement!

It is a solid, well made looking gadget. Shiny chrome-like in appearance. I placed it a week ago and it has NOT BUDGED!! It is as solid on my tile as if I had bolted it down. Even before I had it positioned to crank down the little suction lever, it wanted to stick to the tile and I had a hard time sliding it around to get it to let go!! I have two, purchased at the same time. Both are working fabulously. The model I purchased has the vertical adjustment, however, it is more adjustable than just up and down. You can rotate the actual device prior to activating the suction, and you can twist the handheld shower head left and right within the holder. The only negative thing I can say is that I wish it could adjust farther to allow the shower spray direction to be pointed a bit more “down” than “out / forward / across”. OF NOTE: my tile is completely smooth and FLAT, no surface bumps, grooves, divots, or imperfections. I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol prior to placement and allowed to air dry by itself. I did not use the adhesive pad, and I did not put any water moisture on the suction cup prior. I tried to include answers to questions I had before I decided to buy this. I’m glad I did!!

Better than what I could find in stores

I am a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist and install grab bars and perform bathroom remodeling for handicap accessibility. I like these because my clients often have some people in the home who sit and others who stand in the shower. This can be repositioned for different users. I have purchased several of these particular mounts for my clients because they work so much better than any that I can find in the big box stores. I have suctioned these to tile and other surfaces with a strong hold every time.

Well designed unit

Beautiful unit and has great suction and holding power. My handheld shower head and hose are on the heavy side and this unit handles it with no problem. I have had four other suction units over the years and this unit is by far the best. I did not have to use the 3M adhesive disc but I have it if I should ever need it.

Suction Cup Works Great on our Dimpled Pre-Fab Shower

Works great. We were concerned this holder for our hand-held shower would not work because the shower walls are a dimpled pre-fabricated material (see photo). We’ve struggled in former homes where the walls were granite and would not hold a suction cup and had to use command strips. In spite of the fact that the description of this holder states it only works on very smooth surfaces, we took a chance based on other reviews and the fact that it comes with an adhesive disc if we need to go that route. We tried the suction before going straight to the adhesive disc. It locked tightly in place. It’s only been up a day, but it is tight as can be. We’ve tried suction cups to hold a small shower caddy on this same shower, but it would not work. The suction on this holder works 20x tighter. I will update this review if it doesn’t hold and we need to use the disc.

Strong suction, perfect for kids' bathroom

It's perfect! Bought this for the kids' bathroom so my 7-year old can start taking showers. We have a handheld showerhead but it was so high the angle was wrong for her. With this product she can reach it herself. We have a 1-piece fiberglass tub/shower and the suction cup is perfect - has been up for about a week and is very strong. The handheld showerhead we are using is a chrome-look plastic so it is fairly lightweight, and I'm sure that helps. I do like the inclusion of the 3M pad in case the suction gives out down the road, or if we replace the tub surround. I am very pleased with this product!

Game Changer, why did I not find this sooner?

When I bought my house a little over 2 years ago, I replaced the fixed shower head in the master bath with a corded one. However, it was up pretty high and stuck out into the middle of the shower pretty far. I just lived with it. Somehow, I decided to look for a holder, not knowing they exist. After some research, I chose this one, mostly because it was adjustable. WOW! The suction on it is awesome! I put it so that the water cascades directly on my shoulders and it's closer to the shower stall wall. I know it's a simple thing, but it makes my showers much better. I discovered how to adjust it, accidentally. You have to push the plastic holder up from the bottom. Once I figured that out...perfection. Would most definitely recommend.

Why did I wait 3 years to even think of searching for such a gadget! My shower is constructed in the most absurd way. It is n oblong rectangle, and the shower head is situated on the long side. So there is not much room between the shower head and the shower curtain. In fact, If you are not careful to aim it right, the stream hits the bottom of the shower curtain. It basically had to point straight down. This is fine for my husband, who is tall and thin, but for me, my back is always touching the shower curtain which stays cold and sticks to my skin. So one day I thought I would take a suction cup, and some wire and rug up a holder I could place on the short side. But then I wondered if someone had already thought of that and voila! Now, I have ample room in the shower and I have in at a lower position do that my kid can also reach the removable showerhead. Also, because the water is spraying the long way, it seems to warm up the shower better. :)

Amazing Suction Ability and Quality looks upscale in shower

Careful where you place it as it suctions onto shower wall virtually upon touching it. I was looking at it on my desk and it started to stick to the leather desktop! Luckily I was able to remove it. When I was mocking up where I wanted to place it in my shower, it suctioned onto the wall while I was simply holding there to see how it looked in that spot. Luckily, I already had a pretty good idea where I wanted to place it, so I left it in that spot. Then I went ahead an pulled the clear plastic lever to permanently keep the mount in place. It holds a regular sized shower heads weight just fine. Very nice looking product and it actually works. I was a little skeptical as had problems with suction products in the past that would just fall off the shower wall. I did use CLR and a soapless SOS pad to thoroughly scrub, clean, rinse and dry the area before attaching, something I hadn't done with suction products in the past, so possibly this helped it's staying power.

What a perfect device!!!

I love love love this. It is exactly what I wanted. I shave my legs in the shower and when the shower head is high it washes the shaving cream off my legs before I can shave. With this handy device I can lower the shower head, point the water to the wall and still rinse the razor and my hands without washing the shaving cream off my legs. The suction is very very good. I think if you have a problem with the suction, you did not properly clean the area. You must clean the area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry before adhering the device. Nice to buy a product that is what the description says and works!
