We had a big box sprayer but it just wasn't up to the task we had. This year Pinon Scale was attacking our Pinon trees and dormant oil is needed to control them. I took the sprayer out of the box, assembled it and made a 1 gal. mixture of dormant oil. There are several tips that have different patterns of spray, I chose the Red tip and went to work. This gave a nice fan shaped spray that had plenty of power to reach the height of our trees (10 feet). Heavy duty tank and stainless steel spray wand. We used 4 gals of spray and the sprayer stopped every time you released the trigger. With the other tips you could adapt to any use for a tank sprayer. The paper work that came with the sprayer had a blow up of the sprayer and a parts list incase you would to repair. For the price I was satisfied with what I got and how it performed.

This is a great sprayer. I just bought one for my son, who is starting his own collection of homeowner accessories. I tried it out today before I take it to him next weekend (to make sure it worked properly, of course) and it was so good I ordered another one for myself. The spray tube is longer than the tube on most sprayers, and it is made of stainless steel. The main nozzle is an adjustable brass nozzle for cone-shaped spray, with other plastic nozzles for low and high volume fan-shaped spray. There is also a wire mesh covered foaming nozzle that I have not tried. The body of the sprayer is translucent plastic, with markings so you can gauge the volume in gallons or liters. The gasket seals everywhere are a Viton material that is new since the last time I bought a sprayer. It seems to work fine and I think it is more chemical resistant than older-style seals. As others have noted, you always want to buy a two gallon sprayer even if you are usually only going to make a gallon of spray, since the extra reserve of compressed air lets you spray much longer before you have to pump up the air pressure again.

First of all, this is a very high quality sprayer. I've owned many but never one this good. Everything about it is quality including the wand and the thick plastic spray tank. I needed a high quality sprayer for the project I had in mind; to take a great sprayer and make it better. Anyhow, I drilled a hole in the side of my brand new sprayer and installed a valve stem. Instead of pumping the tank, I now use my air compressor to add approximately 40lbs of pressure. This sprayer is built like a tank and there are no leaks or bulges under this amount of pressure. My reach with the brass nozzle is over 30 feet and it easily reaches under the eves of a two-story home. I can spray half a tank before needing to add more air. I'm very happy with my new (slightly modified) sprayer.

This thing is awesome. I can't believe how well it sprays, probable one of the best things I bought on amazon. I sprays about 20 feet when adjusted to jet. When adjusted to shower type sprays it totally saturates the plant. Well worth the money IMO. I plan on getting the gallon size for my rose plants.

I've used a lot of different sprayer brands over my many years, and this is the best I've found. It is well made, and the pump works fast to build pressure. A very nice aspect is the apparent availability of repair parts from the manufacturer plus the exploded parts diagram. BUT, there are two negative aspects: (1) The strap is too narrow and the way it connects to the tank is a joke. I made my own strap. (2) Weeks ago, I sent an email to "customer service" asking for a link to download the owner's manual. I never heard from them. The owner's manual that came with the tank is small, so I made enlarged copies for my files. The volume markings on the side are difficult to see, but they can be marked with a permanent marker.

After 2-3 $19 sprayers that barely worked and after reading a review on this one, I bit the bullet and paid double and gave this a try. As another reviewer recommended I installed an automotive air valve, very simple, bought a steel one here on Amazon, drilled a 1/2” hole and tightened it up. I put 40psi in it and can easily spray over a gallon. And this thing dumps a gallon quick. Spiders you are toast now, will see how it’s longevity is. It appears to be very well built. Unlike the cheap home center junk

My mother goes through sprayers like crazy, they are always breaking. I bought this for her because they mentioned that they had customer service, and I figured her problems could be fixed instead of throwing away another sprayer. The sprayer worked fine for her for six months, until the wand snapped at a connection (I don't know if it was user error or sprayer flaw). I wrote to the company at (I can't post the link directly, so smithperformancesprayers dotcom/contact/) and explained what had happened, thinking they would tell me where to buy a new part. Instead the part showed up in the mail, no charge. Amazing customer service, worth the price of the sprayer. There have been no problems since, hopefully a sprayer that will last.

I purchased this sprayer about a year ago, and just purchased a second one. I have multiple sprayers so I don't cross contaminate...i.e one for grass / all vegetation killer, one for weed killer in the grass, and one for my garden (bugs & etc). Anyway, after purchasing a year ago, this has been my # 1 sprayer and have it allocated to use for all vegetation killer....Can't afford "leakage" or to have anything drip out of the tip, because whatever the fluid touches, it kills. This sprayer doesn't leak anywhere and when you stop spraying, it stops immediately. In addition, it has many adjustments for various mists and etc. I also like that you can snap the wand on the side and it has a catch spot on the bottom. The pressure release valve is very high quality. The spray seals nicely and doesn't take much to pump it up. Consequently, I used much "cheaper" made sprayers for my other two applications....Weeds in the grass and bugs in my garden....Figured it wouldn't matter as much if they leaked and etc...or had pressure please. However, I came to the conclusion that this sprayer is SO MUCH better and not that much more expensive, I would gradually replace my other two sprayers with this model....One at a time. I plan on buying a third one next month, or having one for each application. Sure, I could really clean it out and etc, but so much easier to keep one dedicated for each task. Unless you want to pay $300+ for an elite model, this sprayer is the best price to quality ratio on the market. Highly recommend!

I have used over 8 types of sprayers and I am sick of not being able to use them for one reason or another. So I thought I would try one of the higher priced ones, as after researching for hours - it seems like I was going to have to invest more money. I chose this one because of previous reviews-(thanks to all who posted!). I have a small vineyard in my back yard, have to spray regularly. I actually get a smile on my face and look forward to spraying! Pumping is easy, wide mouth makes it easy to fill/wash, metal tip, harness convenient. Overall a great product!

I’ve had so many sprayers over a 15 year span and I have to say this one is the best I’ve owned by far! It’s a really strong, thick gauge plastic tank of good quality that doesn’t flex under pressure whether it’s inflation or deflation due to climate change. It also has a pressure relief valve for discharging pressure while not in use to prevent accidental squirting due to handling and engaging trigger. However, I did have to change the sprayer’s plastic hose coming from bottle to nozzle handle for a rubber hose due to stiffening and losing its ability to remain conveniently flexible. This possibly was caused by two reasons: 1. Using it out in the severe winter season. 2. Using it for spraying diesel and kerosene which is not nowhere near a harsh chemical solvent. The internal nozzle parts are brass. Other than the hose stiffening after about a months usage there’s no other cons I could find to say. I highly recommend this sprayer system.
