crv shutting off fixed

I have a crv 1998 that had issue with the car engine and all the lights on the dash board shutting down without warning....like all the power is lost. sometimes it shuts off while im on park or even when Im driving. I goodled it and one of the suggestions was to change the fuel pump main relay. I tried that, and lucky for me it fixed the problem.
