Works to calm cat, but they are empty after 3 weeks
We have used these for almost three months as recommended by our pet behaviorist, to calm our cat and as part of the solution to urinating outside the litter box. We put one near her favorite bedroom sleeping spot and another in the living room (where most of the accidents have been). Huge improvement and she seems calmer, more loving. My only complaint is that they only last three weeks max. It may be because it's winter here and our forced hot air heat is running lots. I'd advise checking them regularly so you know when they need to be replaced.

Feliway is wonderful!
I have 7 cats. All indoor kitties. They each started out as fosters and I ended up keeping each one over time. They are 2 tiger striped, 3 black and white, 1 orange and 1 flame point Siamese (named Snowball). The cats were picking on the Siamese and my vet suggested Feliway plug ins. I ordered 2 and within 2 weeks all was good in kitty land. No more stalking or bullying of Snowball. I've reordered and am on my second set of Feliway. Best stuff!! Works and well worth it!

Feliway will solve your problems!
I had a young, single female cat with no issues - until I moved in with my boyfriend and his two cats. All three cats get along but my female cat has been very territorial - urine & feces marking in the same spots. We tried everything, even the vet. I found feliway and decided to give it a try. After a week or two, she stopped with this behavior and she was a fun, sweet cat again. I forgot to order the next months supply because we were no longer having issues. Sure enough, the bottle ran out and the behavior started again! Just ordered a couple more refills - this product works. I know some people have had issues with the plug-in but mine only gets warm-like any other plug in/air freshener. No other issues. I will continue to order this product!

Great for getting used to a new home!
This stuff actually works! I had bought the spray many years ago for my cat while in her carrier and it did nothing. When we moved to a new house she was yoweling a lot at the top of the stairs and my vet recommended I give this a try! Now we have a subscription! The yoweling stopped and shes so much happier in her new home. The price does fluctuate though which is annoying. I may stop using it and see what happens with her behavior now that shes settled in.

calms my cats and is especially good for one who has health problems
I have four cats and they usually get along, but sometimes there are tense moments. Also, one of them is 12 years old and has had issues with his blood pressure as well as pretty constant eye issues for the past several months (don't worry, he has visits every few weeks to a veterinary ophthalmologist), plus he has inflammatory bowel disease. So, I really wanted something to help calm all the cats down as well as to deal specifically with the one who is having health problems. I had had a Feliway diffuser in the past (and still had the diffuser part) so I bought this replacement reservoir. I'm really happy with this. I do think the cats are less stressed. (I actually have one diffuser in the bedroom and one in the master bathroom, since I keep the cats up there when I am gone for the day.) The ill cat is having a very long string of good days. Of course part of that is keeping up with his medications and eye drops, but I think this is also helping. He is more up for exploring the house and he is pretty affectionate and he is not hiding under the bed as much. I find I have better luck with the Ceva product (as opposed to Comfort Zone, which also turns up if you search "Feliway" on Amazon). The pheromones are slightly different and, for whatever reason, the Ceva refills are more calming to my cats. This only lasts maybe three weeks before it is pretty empty. My diffuser doesn't have any place to do an adjustment to the temperature or heat settings so it runs at a constant rate. But, I am willing to pay for one of these refills every three weeks because of the difference this is making for my cats, especially the older, chronically ill guy. (Actually, my calico cat recently started purring after 7.5 years of me never hearing a single purr from her. I can't positively link this to the diffuser but she does FINALLY seem to be mellowing out. It's possible there is some connection.) Also, this doesn't have a smell to humans. If yours smells hot or like plastic or something, unplug it right away and get a new plug-in diffuser part (buy a starter kit instead of a refill).

calms stressed out cats without sedation
I used this in conjunction with the spray when I was gone for several days getting surgery. Even though he had other family members around, the change stressed him out, but this diffuser and the spray helped calm him without sedation. I also used it when I first brought him home and right after he was neutered. I highly recommend it to anybody who anticipates a stressful situation for their pet. It’s also a tool for cats who are aggressive or scared and bitey. They may just be stressed out and this is certainly a less heartbreaking option than trying to rehome them.

Don't be afraid!!! This works!!!!
On the advice of my vet I decided to try the Feliway diffuser. I had used the spray with some results. I had read all the reviews and like many others was afraid to use it. But I was at my wits end with my yowling cat. My sweet kitty has developed kidney disease and wants to be near me constantly. Waking up at 4 a.m, for months now, I was severely sleep deprived. Locking her in another part of the house only make the howling worse. I plugged in the diffuser and left it in my office, where she sleeps, most of the day. I was at home so did check on the diffuser off and on to make sure it was not getting to hot. I did not hear a peep out of her until she came to get fed in the afternoon. I was absolutely amazed. I unplugged the unit before I went to be to see how she would act without it. No crying at night!!! Calm in the morning - she sat by her food bowl and just waited for food. I was in shock!!!!! Now on the second day without using the diffuser she has been calm all day and came to play with me. I am still in shock!!! I just plugged it in again and will leave on until I go to bed just for backup. I realize that this is unusual but it worked!!!!!!! Just unplug the unit if you are not home and when you go to bed so you don't have to worry about the unit overheating. Check on it from time to time. Mine is working fine and just stays at a comfortable, warm temperature. If you leave it on 24/7 it could get hot.

This was recommended by my vet to me and has been a ...
This was recommended by my vet to me and has been a godsend. My little kitty Luna suffers from separation anxiety as well as crazy "midnight friskies"! I have noticed a huge difference since we started using this. Should would scratch at the door after my partner and I would leave almost to the point her paws would bleed and this is no longer the case. Her midnight crazies are also less frequent and last less time. I have no doubt that this is due to our use of the Feliway as we ran out of it once (and never again!) her symptoms immediately started again. Can't recommend enough!

It really works!!
We have one 9 year old cat and a 1 year old cat - while they generally get along, we started to notice our older cat was exhibiting some territorial behaviors. Specifically, he would hiss at the younger cat when they walked by each other (otherwise fine) and started pooping outside his litter box. It got worse and worse, and he would look for new places to hide and poop. We placed one Feliway diffuser on our main floor and one right next to the litter box. At first, we didn't notice any differences. Over about one month, some subtle changes happened...the cats stopped hissing, the older cat started grooming the younger cat, and eventually they were fine with sleeping right next to each other. The poops outside the box started getting closer and closer to the litter box. Then, all of sudden, they were back inside the box! We've gone a few weeks now with no accidents outside the box. I suspect this is because he was feeling threatened by the younger cat (who is very docile) while in the box. I really believe Feliway was the solution for our cat issues. They seem much happier now!

Worth the extra cost over other brands
I used to use the Comfort Zone with Feliway because it was less expensive. However, like many of the other owners that have reviewed I found it to be useless. I have a cat that gets separation anxiety and therefore inappropriately urinates. The Comfort Zone product did nothing to alleviate this issue. As soon as I put in the Ceva Feliway my kitty calmed down and stopped inappropriately urinating all over the place.
