Necessary Tool for DIY large project
Not only did the lift save my back, I was able to have this large item prime delivered faster than I could find one locally. I was dreading what I assume would be a nuisance of an assembly, especially for such a good price. However, the enitre lift can be assembled in less than 3 minutes. Not sure how some of the features would hold up to a professional use, however when I asked a neighbor who is a professional if he had one, he just laughed at me and said they just lift them. Worked perfect for a DIY guy. No complaints.

Saved my back!!
I think as other have stated, this may not hold up for a construction site and daily use, but for a homeowner redoing a kitchen ceiling it was worth every penny. I am not sure how I would have done it otherwise. This was easy to use and held the drywall in place right where I wanted it.

Good value for money
I would call this unit good value for money, but probably someone with pro needs, or who plans to use it a lot should think about spending more and getting a more stable unit with a smoother crank mechanism. My needs were pretty simple and I now that I have put my drywall sheets, I will put it up on Craiglist. I figured this plan was better than renting a unit, and if I can get a decent price for the used machine, I will call my plan a win. For the money, I have no complaints about this product, but it's a little on the "lite" side and the crank mechanism is a little sticky and takes some getting used to. The wheels run smoothly and lock well. It was easy to assemble.

But if you are not a professional drywall installer this item is excellent..
Item as described... only difference between this product and the $1200.00 professional versions is that this is not as heavy duty. But if you are not a professional drywall installer this item is excellent... my reason for purchase is that I needed a lift for and extended period of time and did not want to pay for multiple weeks of rental. This item cost less than one weeks rental from Home Depot. So its a win win for me.

Worth Every Penny!
If you are hanging sheetrock on the ceiling...getting rid of that textured ceiling...this makes it easy to do. We used up to 12 foot sheets on our ceiling and this made it a breeze...Probably need an extra hand getting the sheetrock in the hoist unless you are a brawny man but after loading it is a breeze to lift and place. The four point base makes this very stable and the two wood "shelves" make standing to screw in the sheetrock very easy. This is a must have to save your back and shoulders or for individual hanging.

Awesome piece of equipment
Awesome product. I was given an estimate by a local contractor to drywall my room addition. I did a cost comparison and I could buy this machine and all material for less than half of his estimate. So I did and let me tell you. I was able to drywall my ceiling and walls with 1/2"x4'x8' and 1/2"x4'x12' drywall by myself and it looks great. This machine is well worth the investment.

Great ratcheting mechanism! Much better locking wheels.
Ok, purchased the red lift from HF and when I put it together realized all the reviews are right, wobbly cheap and poorly made. The cable winch drive of so many of these lifts are the problem.. No more with this ARKSEN unit! I have not used it yet, but put it together and wow, major differences in quality. The Mast is moved by a ratcheting crank mechanism and is supper smooth going up. The safety catch latches continuously while raising the lift. So it will not go down until you hold/lock the safety open and reverse the crank. The black finish is very good too. I like that this lift will go to 15 feet where the HF only does 11. This unit will also allow sheets to be lifted virtually so if covering a vaulted ceiling 12-14 feet up, you can do that with this hoist. The only thing I am not sure of yet, the clips to hold a sheet horizontally while tilted, which is how these are usually loaded with a panel of drywall, has plastic clips that seem like they could break. I think if they do, I would make my own out of aluminum or steel.. In the pictures, the smaller wheel is the HF with locks that barely work.. the cable winch design is easy to tangle and I have read other reviews that they break.. There were no reviews, so figured I would add one now that I just got it in today. I saw this on Northern Tool first sold under the brand Strongway.. they were out of stock and found the same unit on Amazon under different brand but it is the same unit..

Ease of lifting the plywood with the turn of a wheel
This Jack allowed my 70 year old husband and I the ability to a plywood ceiling up in our 30x48 garage/Shop by ourselves. It works very easy. It rolls easy and has good brakes so it doesn't move after we positioned the 4'x8' plywood panels in place. The price and fast delivery was great. I would recommend this to anyone putting up ceilings! Thank you! Norma in Iowa

Fabulous product! So worth it!
This is an awesome product! Can't beat it's usefulness for the cost. I removed 10 8' fluorescent fixtures, hung the entire 24x24 ceiling and reinstalled by myself with zero difficulty This purchase was split by my brother and I. I hung my garage and will be doing a section of basement ceiling. It is assembled and broken down with no tolls required. Simple. Stores in a 3 piece very small space He will be doing his exterior porch ceiling and basement. When we are both done, he will put it up on e-bay/craigs list and we will split the proceeds. Could not be more worth it!!!

Did what it was supposed to do . Worth the money.
I used this to lift 3 sheets of 14 ft drywall. I know it states 8 ft max. But I figured what the hell. It worked fine. Once the drywall was centered it lifted it up fairly easily. I have no idea how anyone even with help and using all their tricks could do without one of these. I bought it vs rental because I have 5 rooms to do this summer, and when done I could still sell it for a few bucks.
