Need This To Be Captain America!!!

Words can't even describe how cool this product is. I bought this for my 10 year old son who is starting to get into collecting comic books and related collectibles. The star was missing very small details that would've made this and almost exact replica of the movie shield. Displayed properly most will probably think it is a replica. It is made of plastic, but the paint and finish makes it look like metal (or vibranium). Even with it's plastic build, this shield is very, very sturdy. I do not fully trust the leather like straps on the inside. They feel flimsy to me, but so far they have held up to my 10 year old's outdoors play test. Non-preorders shipping with better packaging

Always wanted a Captain America shield, but at a decent price. Hasbro delivered and the shield looks great for only $100. I would've preferred the metal option instead, but this is something that will just hang on my wall and will never be touched again. Pros- Perfect Captain America shield for a decent price that won't break the bank Shield has a glossy finish to it - it appears to be metal but isn't Construction is very well done and don't feel cheap Very little scratches (if any) on the unit Cons- Preorders of the shield seemed to have shipped with subpar packaging. The shield wasn't wrapped in plastic, etc. Scratches all over the place and scuffs. Shield appeared to bounce around in packaging during shipping. If you live in an Apartment complex or some sort of rental other people will know what you've purchased, due to how it's shipped. *update* I have posted pics of pre-order vs non pre-ordered shield. Non pre-order ships with better packaging.

Best non-Metal option

Very high quality, nice faux leather handles on the back; plastic front resembles metal. Best bang for your buck unless you step up & pay for an actual steel one. Had Stan Lee sign the one I purchased.

Buy this now. The perfect wall decoration and or cosplay piece. The straps are very sturdy and the outer shield is constructed from several parts that overlap and add to the thick and tough feel of this shield. You no longer need to spend 300.00 bucks to feel like Cap!

Great Shield Prop

I bought this when it was 50% off, and I think it's a great deal for that price. It's plastic, but absolutely looks metal at a glance. The straps on the inside are sturdy and look really great. It's got some heft to it, not too much, but definitely doesn't feel like you are holding plastic.I didn't have any problems with smudging or wear on the face like some of the other reviewers. This arrived in the Hasbro case box with the Marvel legends box inside of that. I got this for my wife to cosplay and it will be perfect for that.

Superb quality in the construction and design

Purchased this for my husband's anniversary gift. I thought he would be just happy to get something but he really really really likes it. The shield is sturdy. The arm band that attaches to your forearm is made well and the straps fit his rather large arms. You wouldn't know it was metal until you actually picked it up or touched it. The shield itself does have some weight to it. The shield is made of plastic but does have some metal parts it seems. It is made really well. I would say a big win in the anniversary gift department and a really quality product from Hasbro!

Saved my collarbone

This product not only looks cool, BUT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I recently purchased it and thought it would be cool to take it snowboarding with me going down the slopes as Captain America, well I had a very bad fall going down the mountain, and after flipping a bit I landed on my shield CA:TWS Elevator style, putting my shoulder in the shield and slid down the mountain a good 25 feet like that! The very next run down the slope my friend who didn’t have the shield had a very similar fall, he ended up breaking his collarbone and the day was over. I’m not saying that the shield saved me from breaking anything, but I fear things could have been very different without this Masterpiece from Marvel and Hasbro. The shield did get a small crack in it because of my fall, but it was well worth it. The paint even held up great!

Perfect condition my son will never know it was used

Bought this product used for half the price of a new one. The seller had it marked in Acceptable condition so I was a little nervous about how beat up it might be. I was concerned for no reason. It came in the original packaging that looked brand new and when I pulled it out to check it out it was perfect. Appears to just be an open box return. I got a great deal. Seller easily could have listed in Like New condition and gotten significantly more for it than I paid. My son will have no clue that I bought it used and will love it. This was number one on his Christmas list and turned out to be my best purchase for the season. Thank you.
