Cools a bedroom in 15 mins

Man does this thing does its job. I've had it for about 6-7 months now and it can cool a 11x11 room in 15 mins. Noise isn't too bad but here's a more detailed note on this.. I sleep 3 feet away from this thing due to where my window is. Even if it's on all night, I can still sleep like a baby. However, I personally do need some sort of noise when I sleep. If you're someone who needs absolute silence, then this will be a problem. Good product :)

Fit our 21" narrow window, cools well, easy installation.

Great value. We use this to cool a 12x12 bedroom with a vaulted ceiling in the peak of summer. As long as we close the door, and start the unit 45 minutes before bedtime, it can cool the room from the mid 80s to 68 and keep it there. I'm a light sleeper, and in the default "eco" mode, the noise of the fan cycling on and off was enough to wake me up, but hitting the mode button once kept the sound level at a steady white noise. The fan speed selector uses a resistor for low speed, so it actually consumes about the same energy at either speed. I mounted this in a 21" wide casement window, and just used one of the two expanding panels to fill the narrow gap. The unit is light enough that I had no trouble installing it by myself.

Great workhorse for a small A/C

Some of out buildings have been converted from storage to office space. Although there is A/C in part of the building, several of the offices are not on the system. These 5000 BTU units are perfect for an office space or small to medium sized room. Between last year and this year we have purchased 4 or 5 of these units. They work very well, the price is right, and easy to install. We have yet to encounter any problem. A very cool product...pardon the pun, but we like these window units a lot. If we need more, these are the ones.

Excellent air conditioner

I love this little unit! And it cools far more than the square footage it is supposed to. It's got good fan power on low or high and the energy efficient button shuts it off when it reaches temp. It's not too noisy at all. The only negative I can possibly think of is that I have to walk over to the unit to actually read what the settings are on. Big deal. LOL

Update 09-22-17: -My family was in dire need of a 2nd Air Conditioner that could be powered by a generator here in Central Florida due to Hurricane Irma power outage.. Amazon has the most dedicated hard working employees a company could dream of. They delivered this unit in just 3 days, which was a life saver! THANK YOU TEAM!! This is a well built unit from China that is 12.2 SEER due to using Puron (R410A) and a slow start-up on compressor. -Since Puron operates at 50% more pressure than the phased out R22 Freon, there is potential for more vibration. So, be sure to snug all external screws to keep it quiet before installation. - It cools a 10 X 12 ft. room very well with low electric consumption. $37 electric usage a year is the average per U.S. Energy Guide. . The picture shows the left & right side insulation panels which can be 'cut to fit' with sharp scissors or a standard utility knife/blade. Thanks.

Perfect little window unit

Perfect for my 12x14 ish room. Keeps everything nice and cool, and having the timer is great so I can put it on a while before bed, then have it turn off once its late in the evening and I'm asleep. Even the fan setting is great, showing you the temp of the room makes it really useful.

Bad instructions or none but good unit.

I'm freezing! LOL Thank goodness for an easy to use, clean looking and well working product.The worst thing about it is that there are no instructions though they send so many little add ons to help you fit it in the window. Instructions on how to work it but not a clear (one pic and as always writing is small and it's like a search and rescue to figure it out) on whjere and why and with what you use this stuff. Also the back of ours had crush marks (postage- packaging) across it which was a bummer. Machine wish its great!

Window-mounted AC

My mom selected this item and I bought it for her. She had no AC and the temperatures have been in the 90's and the stores around my mom's home had sold out of AC. I ordered it on Sunday, it was mailed on Monday and arrived on Tuesday! That is Amaz-ing! Thank you so much AMAZON! My mom's neighbor installed it quickly and easily and it is working great! The price is excellent as well. Totally satisfied!

Great little AC unit for a small children's bedroom (replaced a very old unit - not efficient at all). The unit ran for a total of 7 minutes (10x12 bedroom) and pushed the room from 83 to 73 and cycled off thanks to the "energy saver" mode. This unit does a great job of reducing the total felt humidity in the room. This unit is very sleek, comes with an entire insulation package. NOTE: When installing the left and right extendable seals, install them from the bottom and push to the top. You'll thank me - I didn't, and it was a nightmare getting the bottom clip to fit into the guide.
