Handy Little Tool

I love fresh cherries. Eating pitted cherries enhances my cherry eating experience. Being able to pit six at a time is a bonus. Thus far I've pitted two dozen cherries before emptying the pit container and it could probably hold even more. You do have to exert some force to pit the cherries. It does a very good job. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it.

life-changing....great gift for a cherry lover!

This little guy is life-changing. Bought a "splatter proof" cherry pitter last year. This year, the guard came off after. every. single. cherry. THIS pitter does 6 at a time, all while containing any and all cherry juice splatters. Pitting 18 cherries in 3 swipes? Yes, please!

Newest favorite kitchen gadget!

I had been on the lookout for a reasonably priced cherry pitter for a couple of years before seeing this one. It works like a charm - 6 cherries at time makes quick work of a big bowl of fruit. A few pits get left behind but running a finger under the platform the cherries sit on after activating the device but before emptying it seems to get almost all the stragglers. The entire unit cleans easily under running water, and closes up and locks closed for storage. Very happy I chose this item.

WONDERFUL PITTER FOR LARGEQUANTITIES

My Aunt has two large and very fertile cherry trees and thus, we end up with more than a few cherries. My dad likes to make jam with the cherries and after watching him sit and pit two epic bowls of cherries (there must have been 10 pounds at least) with a single pitter, I bought this. There is a slight learning curve but it makes everything MUCH faster and works wonderfully. Also, Cherry Marmalade is a real thing and it is delicious.

An absolute must have!

I had to pit 6 pounds of cherries, and this little guy helped me knock them out in no time! Even though it's plastic, it's actually very sturdy, as I found out the hard way. I had one hand holding the front down while I pressed the lid down with the other because I was afraid it would skitter across the granite countertop. I ended up pinching my finger and learned that I didn't need to hold the pitter at all. It stayed in place and I could use one hand to press down. It was an "happy accident! Also, it doesn't matter how you place the cherry in the tray. Me being a bit OCD (self-diagnosed), I placed the cherries so that they were standing straight up so that the pit would pass through the bottom. This was purely for aesthetic reasons, as once the cherry was pitted, I replaced the "flap" of cherry back over the hole where the pit came out so that the cherry would appear to be whole. I only did this because I think they appear more attractive when making brandied cherries. The cherries I pitted for my bbq sauce didn't receive such loving attention...

Glad I found this gadget

I have avoided eating cherries my entire life because I hate the pits and how messy my hands get trying to remove them. This gadget changed my mind. It works perfectly at removing pits from 6 cherries at a time. Just remove the stems and place the cherries in the slots, press down, and presto. Pits are removed. Relatively easy to clean and has a locking mechanism to keep it closed for storage. Glad I found this.

Quick and easy to use

Fantastic device. I have 15 lbs. of cherries to pit so I can freeze the cherries. This is so easy to use my 7-year-old can do it. So much faster than a single cherry pitter and able to place on the table and push down instead of squeezing it with your hand. Also, the cup that the cherries go in can come out so it is easy to dump the cherries out. Took me about 30 minutes to pit all the cherries.

Just love it

Well when I got a hold of this thing I was amazed how easy it worked and I was so grateful that I could do more than one Cherry at a time. So I made all kinds of stuff I've made homemade brandy Cherry Jam. I've made homemade pickled cherries with the yellow cherries. And my grandson loves to help me and me and him pop the cherry seeds out while he sits on the counter in my kitchen and eats the cherries seedless. He loves it and so do I easy to clean up. And I love the way it has a locking mechanism on it for storage and for safety purposes while storing

Fab-U-Lous!

LOVE IT! It arrived today, and my husband went out and bought about 25 lbs of fresh, sweet cherries. He just turned to me and said, "go write a review and tell them that this cherry pitter is the best thing ever invented!". He's not usually so effusive. We usually pit them with a paring knife! Cherries were $2.99/lb, and I knew we wanted to buy a lot of them, so I "hit" Amazon for a cherry pitter. Two days later, Sunday no-less, it's here. This one pits six cherries at a time!!!!! And, it cost less than most of the ones that pit just one at a time. Love it. Cherry Amaretto jam, here we come. Thank you!
