We recently put in an inground pool. So of course, our new job is to try out every kind of float! This has been by far our favorite. You will get wet. The middle is mesh and your bottom, thighs and waist will be below "sea level". You can't float on your stomach comfortably. I've tried. For sitting upright and soaking up sun this is the best. Cool and comfy and well put together. The head rest is soft (inflated) but supportive and a good height. With all the mesh, you don't get the enclosed, sweaty feel you do from loungers that are all plastic. We just use it in a pool, it might not be great for the beach. I could see the mesh ripping and the air compartments being vulnerable to beach roughness.

My husband is 6'5" and 290 lbs. Finding a comfortable float that accomodates both his height and weigth is difficult. I have a few already that will float him but not recline or support his neck and back. This float provides back and neck support and had excellent buoyancy. My only complaint would be that the cup holder is present but not functional. It's narrow and when you are in the float is tipped in so if you can get a container in it it had better have a cap or top.

We have been using another manufacturers double tube which we loved but it is large, cumbersome and you must have a compressor to inflate. We tried several other smaller inflatables and were left with disappointment. This XL recliner is easy to inflate, has held air every time, super easy to get into at any depth and is the most comfortable device like this we have ever had. We've used some para-cord and two carabiners and fashioned a fastener to hook between the side loops to keep us together. And then when you deflate it, it folds back up to a small disc. We do have two suggestions, the cup holder works well... wondering if there a way to build a larger pocket on the other side that a person could put a cell phone in in a waterproof bag or in our case our waterproof phone itself. Also, consider building in some cloth loops to the top of the headrest like the ones on the side, perfect place to hang a small Bluetooth speaker from .

This is my third one of these (not by this particular manufacturer) and all of them have been super comfortable. However, this is the first one that has lasted more than a month! I think the key is taking it out of the pool after each use and washing it off. The salt in the salt water pool just seems to rot the fabric almost immediately. Now I wash it down with a hose after each use and keep it in a shaded area and so far, so good. Should it not make it through the season, I'll amend the rating.

Arrived quickly, though not as advertised, the shirtless man in the photos did not come with the float!

This is my 5th SwimWays Float Recliner. Friends & I have owned them for more than 6 years.I live on a lake, own various types of individual floats at all price points. When selecting a raft/float - these are the "go to" choice for everyone. I store them fully inflated in a separate structure: a concrete block and wood lake house (with a concrete poured floor) that is not insulated. The only reason I have ever had to replace one is because "they go missing" NOT because they don't last! The XL version is Great for the people in your life that are Tall, or Husky, or Body Builders, or Former Line Backers, or just carry a few xtra pounds.

The best money I ever spent on a water float. My ninety pound dog loves it to

We have had SwimWays Spring Float Recliners for many (6 or 7) years. In the older ones there was a problem with the stitching opening up at a seam near the foot end of the float. It appears they have corrected this problem. This did Not affect floating so we continued using them at the lake. We finally decided to replace them this summer and donate the others to some people who did not have one. We got the new ones and once again, they did not disappoint. The recliner is very comfortable. Another feature I love is the hole towards the end. You can dip your feet in the water if you become too hot. The cup holder on the side is very handy and deep enough you do not have to worry about your beverage popping out and ending up at the bottom of the lake. Last weekend there were at least 20 of the Swimways Spring Float Recliners floating about in the lake. This would include our three new ones and the 3 we donated. I highly recommend these.

We ordered 2 of these floats and they are awesome. We invite people over all the time to swim and they talk about how great these floats are. I love to read my kindle in the pool and these floats are perfect for that. These are not floats for tanning on your back so if you are looking for that then this is not your float but if you are looking a float that props you up so you can read or chat with someone in the pool then this is your float.

Super cozy and great size whether your bigger or smaller! This is perfect if you're wanting to be sitting up in the pool and if you're wanting a little bit of your butt to be underneath water to help keep you cooled off. If you're looking for something for tanning, this is difficult because you can't lay flat or flip on your stomach because the headrest forces you to be sitting up the whole time. Just be mindful of that.
