Love them & use them often

Well made & durable. Nice enough to use for guests. Simple basic design. The only complaint I have is that the pickers will easily slide into sink drain if you're not careful. They are long & narrow. It would be great if the handles could be a bit wider. That's my opinion & aside from that, it's a great set

Perfect for our occasional needs

We loved these -- come in a small box that's perfect for storage in the far reaches of a silverware for a rarely used item, but absolutely necessary when needed. Great price, delivery and nice follow up service email.

Very pleased so far.

I'm very happy with these. I've never purchased crackers and picks before, but I was hoping to get something that had some good weight to them, like what we've used at higher-end restaurants in the past. None of those flimsy, fall-apart cheap stuff. This was right on the money - even though it IS cheap in price, it's not cheaply made. My husband has used them several times so far and each time they feel just as strong and sturdy, so I expect these to last a long time.

Saturday Family Christmas Celebration Main Course; Alaskan King Crab. 2 hours before dinner we received the HiWare 10 piece Seafood utensils as a Christmas gift and what a difference our dining experience was. The crab legs were easily cracked and the meat extraction went with little effort. Finally, someone has created the right tools for an enjoyable seafood dining experience.

Great quality. Heavy enough to crack open the biggest claws. Light enough to handle with ease. The forks are perfect. Strong and do not bend or flex when using. I highly recommend.

Just what we need for eating crab

We recently treated ourselves to Alaskan King crab legs at home. Unfortunately, we didn't have the right tools, so we ended up cutting the legs and prying them open. That was tough on the hands!! Not surprisingly, I found exactly what we needed on Amazon. Even the tools they use at Joe's Crab Shack, which we absolutely love. I can't rate all the features yet because we haven't used them. But they appear to be exactly what we expected and now that we have these tools, we won't hesitate to have another crab night at home. Oh, and they were extremely affordable, so even though we don't eat crab often, they were worth getting.

Love these! Very good bang for buck. The crackers seems to be good quality and very sturdy. I used them on crab claws and they worked great. So much better than the kitchen scissors I'd been using prior! I've never seen or used the little picks before this purchase and they are SO handy for picking out crab meat from hard-to-reach places! Thumbs up from me!

Bring Your Own Set

We love seafood, and this Hiware seafood set will make a nice addition to the tools we use. Many times restaurants do not provide tools that are adequate to open up crab legs and lobster, so we bring our own. I also bring strong seafood sissors cut through the tough shells. Some restaurant employees have told us that they don't put out really nice seafood sets anymore because too often they go missing.

Love the crab cracker

So I got some frozen crab from Sam's Club and went home to cook/eat some of it (it was a 2 lb bag). It was hard to eat without a crab cracker and my fondue forks didn't work that great either. We went to Target, WalMart and At Home to grab a crab cracker set and could find a set nowhere so I went on to Amazon to get one while I was in Target. I picked this set since it had a full set for 2 and was a great price. It came 2 days later so I cooked the rest of the crab the next night. It was so much easier to eat the crab and this set was perfect. They seem to be made well and they are very functional.

Handy for eating shellfish -- less mess & less waste

These made eating shellfish very easy and not quite as messy. We could easily get all of the meat out, so there was much less wasted. The forks/pickers are lightweight but feel good in the hand. The pliers/crackers are shiny metal and fairly heavy, feel pretty sturdy. I don't know if they'd hold up to cracking walnuts or something that hard, but they worked beautifully on crab legs & claws. We don't eat lobster or crab very often, but the price was right to be able to have these around whenever we need them!
