I bought a 3 step steel Rubbermaid latter (with project tray) many years ago and I still love it. When our old 2 step ladder needed to be replaced the decision to get a replacement made by Rubbermaid was easy. Now they also make their ladders in lightweight aluminum. 6 months ago I bought my mother the Rubbermaid aluminum 3 step ladder (RMA-3T) and man is it light compared to my steel ladder. She is retired and will have no problem lifting it. I like the large top step on this ladder (just like my 3 step steel ladder has) and there is a magnet in the center of the little tray, an unexpected nice touch. The red hook on the tray locks positively into place and will not pop open easily. The ladder is lightweight, sturdy, locks open nicely and closes easily. This ladder is so light I can carry it with 1 or 2 fingers. If you want/need the light weight, the extra money for the aluminum over the steel is worth it.

I LOVE this ladder -- I use it multiple times per week; it's very lightweight, so easy to carry up and down stairs or wherever it's needed. It folds quickly & easily to a very narrow space-saving shape, so it stores easily. Tall enough for all my needs and very stable/strong. I have a top-of-the-line Cosco, but hated using it because it's so heavy and bulky. I bought this one hoping it would be more user-friendly, and I could not be happier!

This is just what I was needing. Light weight, 225 pound capacity, and great stability. The 2nd step is wide and I can lean against the work platform at the top for even more stability. I have foot and ankle problems and this step stool makes me feel much safer than other s I have used. I need this for working on my 4WD pickup and other tasks around the house. I plan to buy a second one to carry in my truck.

Excellent Ladder! Very light, yet very sturdy and strong. I also love the very wide and deep 3rd. step, which makes it more secure and easy to reach in different positions and perform a wide variety of tasks. I use it for painting, household chores, putting kayaks on a rack on top of our car, climbing in and out of my sailboat etc.. A great, safe, strong, and very versatile ladder!

Got it to use in a closet to get things on high shelves/rods (I am short). Folds very narrow and very light, but sturdy. Bought for second home and have this type of ladder in several closets in other home. Love these aluminum ladders that have a wide step and and a bar to steady yourself.

I've had the same step stool in my home for the past 25 years, and it was falling apart. In fact, a couple people fell off of it recently, so it really needed replacing. I am so glad I found this step stool It is sturdy and has that extra third step that makes it so much easier to reach the high shelves in my kitchen and change light bulbs and smoke detector batteries. This step stool is well made and extremely sturdy. I am not a lightweight and it holds me easily and the top step is wide and gives me room to stand comfortably. There's also the little shelf at the top where I can put small items that I need when I'm up high, like the bulbs I'm changing or small tools and hardware. I am mid 50s and don't like climbing on ladders anymore, but I feel pretty secure on this step stool. Another great thing about this step stool is that it closes with one hand (there's a little handle under the wide step) and folds flat, taking up very little space in my closet. This one is a winner, and I'm really glad I found it. Step stools have certainly come a long way in the past 25 years.

I like this ladder, but I wish the manufacturer would have some instructions on how to close the tray. I mistakenly returned the first ladder I bought because I thought the project tray was defective since it wouldn't fold down. It wasn't until I saw a post from the other buyers that I learned to pull the two side levers outward, instead of inward, to close the tray down.

+Folds perfectly flat. Top bar stabilizes your legs while standing on large top step. - tool tray cutouts arent as helpful as anticipated, I thought there was a cupholder but its too small. Helpful Measurements FYI : (Open) tray is 37 inches high, top step is 19 inches, and lowest step is 9 inches. Standing on the top step an average height male will be almost to a standard ceiling height. Perfect! the 3 step will be too tall for indoor use.

Best step stool I’ve ever owned. It is exactly as pictured, very sturdy and has a place on the top to lay things you are working with or retrieving. I have a really bad back and this has made me be able to do more without having to find someone to help or just hurting myself worse like I use to do. It also folds pretty darn flat for easy storage. Great buy.

The utility of a 2-step ladder like this is hard to over state. It's easy to move around, you can use it as a small shelf to keep a can of paint or a spackle pan, keep your hammer or brush or mud knife in the hole on top, and the magnetic tray on top is awesome to dump a handful of screws while you work. Very light weight, fold it up and open it with one hand, love it.
