Exactly as described, and shipped quickly too. I was a tiny bit nervous because I read a couple of iffy-reviews about the eBoot rulers, but I'm completely satisfied. I really only wanted the tiny 6" ruler for some sketchbook work, so that it would fit into my pencil pouch, but it's nice to have a good stainless steel ruler around the house in full size too.

Best Rulers I've Used

I purchased this ruler set because I needed a small metal ruler that looked professional and fit in my notebook. I'm a Legal Investigator. I take a lot of notes. More notes than I did in graduate school. I like my notes to be neat and pristine for easy report writing later. I use the 6" ruler to take with me in my vehicle so I can keep my notes pristine. I often have to turn my notes in as exhibits to my supervisors. The last thing I want is to turn something in that makes me look lazy, unorganized, or unintelligent. The 6" ruler does what you expect while being very durable and looking professional. The 12" ruler stays at my desk. I draw a lot of diagrams for work and this thing comes in handy. I didn't think I would like the small hole at the end but it actually serves nicely as a way for me to hook it onto the wall. I always know where it is and it doesn't get lost in some drawer somewhere.

As good as any other; better than some

These are just as good as any other in the market. They are not as think as I would like, however they are not flimsy. These rulers measure from the tip which is much better than the ones that have the measurement "indented" from the end as I use it to set the table saw guide.

These are Awesome! Way Better than the Wooden and Plastic Ones! Here's Why...

This ruler set is *awesome*, and exactly what I needed! I can't count the number of times I've been sitting at my computer, either about to order something and needing to understand exactly what are its dimensions, or writing a review and wanting to describe exactly its dimensions - leading to my having to get up, trudge downstairs to where my tape measure is, trudge back upstairs, etc.. (Why not leave the tape measure at my desk? Because usually I need it down where I store it.) This is why I decided to order a ruler for my desk. When I started looking at rulers, there were the usual wooden ones (downside: splinters, the metal edging (if it has one) is usually sharp, and eventually falls off), and the usual plastic ones (downside: they break easily, and the raised measurement tick marks and numbers are usually not very precise, the paint wears off the raised numbers and tick marks making it difficult to read, etc., in my experience). Then up popped this lovely set! Not only none of the downsides of the cheap wooden ones and plastic ones, but two for the price of one! Plus, the markings are *very* clear and easy to read, with metric on one side and imperial on the other - *and* - bonus!...a conversion table on the back! Now I have a ruler at my desk, and another to use in other parts of the house in which I may need to measure something (the kitchen... the laundry room... the bedroom...). This is a seriously great set, and will probably be the last rules you ever need to buy (at least for yourself, they'd make a great gift for a student)!

Best Ruler Ever

What can I say. My life, before owning this ruler, was so empty. I never knew the length of anything. Now that I have this though I've gotta tell ya. BAM BABY! I'm a measuring fool. As I write this I'm enjoying a small breakfast of coffee and toast with jam. Height of my favorite coffee cup . . . 4". Width of my toast . . . 4.25". Length of my butter knife . . . 8.5". See? I'm in heaven! So I implore you. Get one. Get one now. I see rainbows where once there were dark clouds. But seriously. . . It arrived in a timely manner, is sturdy and has lines to measure things with so yes, I would recommend.

Great Straightedge ruler

I've tried wooden rulers, wooden rulers with metal edge insert, plastic rulers and none of them last as far as drawing a straight line is concerned. I purchased a set of these eBoot Stainless Steel Rulers (12" and 6") and was so favorably impressed, I purchased a second set for my other office! The conversion tables on the reverse are a nice feature. I do quite a bit of work cutting straight edges with box cutters and Xacto type knives, and these work exceptionally well. The only issue is that you have to be exceptionally careful in handling this ruler as the straight edges' corners are severe (not rounded), meaning that you can cut your finger/hand if you accientially run the ruler'e edge across your skin! If you require a metal ruler with a non-rounded edge, this is the caution you must exhibit. If you need square edges, you probably are already alert to this issue, but if you're not, you are forewarned!

Great product with NO CORK on the back, because I need it to use with pastry doughs. Perfect!!

Conversion scale on the back is a big plus.

This little two-fer is perfect. What won me over while shopping was that it has a conversion scale on the back. PLUS the fact that there were two. I order art supplies and doo-dads from all over the world and need to work with the metric scale. (Stubborn America blew it when we had a chance to convert.) Now I can have one by the office computer for purchases and one in the studio for working.

Love this ruler

I use this ruler to both measure (which it accurate) as well as using it as a method to cut a straight line. If I have to cut a piece of leather, i use these rulers to keep my line straight and I run my scalpel next to the ruler and it is perfect. Im having to purchase it again because other people in my business also love this ruler for the same reason and my last one was taken from me.

Sturdy and Beautiful Quality

Great quality, and on-spec. I love that both scales are stiff and sturdy. The price is absolutely wonderful. Sorry for the shoddy quality photo. I just wanted to show that the stainless steel scale(s) show the same measurements as my SAE engineering scale (Alvin).
