Was easier to use than I hoped for, did what I was looking to do. My 35mm negs were in a roll and I just pulled them through faster than I could have hoped for. Same for 35mm slides, did not have to load one at a time, just pushed them through. The flip feature worked nice for those slides I loaded incorrectly.

I’ve wanted to convert over 2,500 ea. 35 mm slides taken between 1962 and 1994 to digital for years. I recently saw ClearClick’s VIRTUOSO Film & Slide Scanner on AMAZON. I emailed ClearClick through AMAZON with questions and received a near immediate, professional reply. I thanked them and mentioned I'd be buying the VIRTUOSO shortly. They offered me a discount in return for a timely, objective review. I received the unit on time in perfect condition. I was amazed how simple and straight forward set-up and operation were. The quick start guide had me successfully scanning slides in less than 10 minutes. Though I went slowly enough to ensure slides were oriented so any “writing” could be read correctly, I was able to convert up to 4 slides per minute into quality JPEG files. Files averaged 1,900 KB with colors and clarity true to the slides. I was impressed with digital file quality (color, clarity and resolution) on slides over 60 years old. It's now time to “edit” to improve the deterioration due to age. The VIRTUOSO is a “tool” rather than a toy. It’s great to finally be able to convert slides to digital files for posterity. I recommend ClearClick's VIRTUOSO slide scanner. Randy Spokane WA

Have converted 4 slide trays so far, 20+ to go. Works as advertised. Once I worked out a process, I was converting 1 slide per 20-25 seconds with acceptable quality. Make sure slides are dust/lint free before converting.

This is a must, outstanding quality once the neg. is converted!!

Have just started using as I have thousands f slides to work on. So far all I can say is that I wish I have bought this sooner.

Like small size, and ease of use. Clear instructions.

worked ok, color was off a lot of times, if you have a lot to scan it does the job. i wanted more quality so i returned and got a flat bed scanner.

My Epson died and I needed another option to scan 35mm negatives. I read various reviews and purchased this unit. I've used it three times. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. It's easy to operate; the instructions are well written. I don't mind pushing the negatives through. I used my Mac's Photos app for initial edits (capture at 22MP and 0 EV). That sped up the capture/ transfer process. I scanned 246 negatives in a couple of hours. I hope it lasts.

Found it to be exactly as advertised. We were going to spend $700 to have slides converted and decided to try the Clear Click. I was impressed by the quality of the conversion and ease to operate. ....and yes it copies and stores in a matter of seconds. When the slide happens to be up-side down a single button click flips it. I would agree with others that needing to change the pixel density to the higher number when you turn on the device is something you can forget, it defaults to the lower value. I just stuck a reminder on the unit. Another comment, when you first use it the proceedure seems awkward; however once you see how it works the initial set-up and pushing slides through goes quick and easy.

This is so slick! First of all, you don't have to use your computer while scanning. I'm viewing 35mm negatives. No time delay at all. If I like the frame, I scan it and save it to the SD card. 3 seconds max. Then transfer the images to my computer later. The video cable goes to the yellow video input on a TV if you don't like looking at the small screen on the device. You can pull long rolls of 36 frames through the device. The scanners I had years ago would only take 4 at a time. Slides are of course 1 at a time, but slides are easy to view so you don't put it in the device unless you want to scan it. Excellent instruction booklet. Well written. Haven't loaded the software yet as I do color adjustment in Apple Photos. But I will give it a try. I highly recommend this device.
