Great natural product, used it for hair
I got this product to use as a base for a deep conditioner. I wanted a Shea butter that was not stiff like the usual but had some soft slip and this product does. The product I am not an expert by no means but to me this Shea butter seems fairly organic. The butter has a light, faint nutty or smokey smell to it. The color is almost like an ivory or really pale baige but it is not white or yellow. The texture is really soft, smooth like well butter. The texture is also grainy and beads like but pressed together it virtually melts in the hand like a smooth body cream (not like a lotion). The product is thick but smooth, it is in between slippery and thick, a good consistency and spread for Shea butter. Is it really unrefined? According to the company it is unrefined, and is Harvested from Uganda. The only ingredients on the label is Shea butter. However, from my research, this Shea butter seems to be organic. Uganda is also one of the largest producers of Shea butter. Apparently, organic unrefined Shea butter is not white or yellow but ivory or an off white in color. It is often creamy to the touch. Unrefined Shea butter has a light nutty smell that fades after being applied to hair. Also it does not leave any waxing film. Refined Shea butter however, is often white or solid yellow and orderlies because the natural smell and color has been removed. Thus a lot of its healing properties are lost due to the refining processes. I have kinky hair and as stated before decided to use this as a base for my condition since Shea butter is said to have healing and moisturizing qualities for skin and hair. I don't cook with it to save product so I cannot report on that topic. To make the grains go away, I took a small pot and filled it midway with water. When the water was boiling I took the pot off the stove and put a few spoonfuls of Shea butter into a small glass cup and placed the cup into the hot water. I did not microwave it because I wasn't sure if it would loose some nutrients that way so to be safe I melted it in water. It literally became like a oil and that is when I poured it into the container and mixed it with my oils. I did not refrigerate it because my house is cold like 74 degrees and it solidified into a creamy paste overnight. It leaves behind no film and I am very happy with this product. The packaging is great, the product is great and no complaints. Hope this review helped someone.

Great, soft shea butter for daily use!
I am trying to switch as many of my beauty products as possible to natural items. Lotion was next on my list. This stuff is great! Usually raw shea butter is hard and difficult to parcel off. This product is very soft even in cold temperatures. You can scoop it out with your hand. I have to rub my hands together for a few seconds to get it smooth enough to apply on my skin. It is very thick but moisturizes fantastically. It is very rich but doesn't clog my pores and makes my skin soft and glowy. I use it all over my body except on my face. It has a light smell but nothing overbearing. Great product!

Great natural product, Dont let consistency worry you...
Great product. For people unaware of how natural products such as coconut and shea butter react to heat and temperature changes, don't let the unusual consistency of the products make you afraid to use or try them. I received mine on warm summer day and the shea butter looked much like little odd beads, and felt gritty until it melted in heat of hands. All I needed to do was let the sealed jar sit in dish of hot water to re-melt it. Shook vigorously, put in fridge to harden. Next day, took out, set on counter, and once came to room temperature, was nice and creamy, but not like a lotion. It's very soft, smooth, and is nice for skin and hair. Even used some for homemade soap. Really like product so far.

Get it, it's worth it!
The packaging was pretty straight forward. It was placed in a box, into a big package. There was no problem there. Otherwise, this glycerin is pretty awesome. Once I received it, I was able to start using it immediately. I made some skin lotion for myself, since I have really bad dry skin. I have a few recipes for dry skin lotion and all of them need glycerine. I also like the fact that it's vegetable glycerine too. Overall, I like it. There's no odor either. Which is a plus when making lotions. I like to put my own scents in there and having a no-scent glycerine helps.

Superior quality
This is a superior quality glycerine. It's not overly thick and is easily worked into bath & body products. It's awesome to add to your shampoo for extra lather and slip. I also use it as an additive to my face wash, as glycerine is a humectant that will draw moisture in. I am very, very pleased with this product.

Bath, beauty, art and science, all in one bottle.
There are SO many uses for glycerin, I'm not sure where to start. My favorite is adding just a few drops to some rose water for a moisturizing body spray. Just google what to do with glycerin and you will wonder why you didn't buy some sooner. Arts and crafts, science experiments and more. This big bottle is a great value and will be put to good use in many different ways.

Nicest Glycerin I've ever used!
This is a REALLY NICE glycerin. It is not sticky or thick like other glycerins I have used. I put some in a smaller bottle so I could store it in the cupboard with my essential oils, and I was impressed from the first time I tried it. It comes in a nice big bottle, which makes it a great value for the price. You will not be disappointed in Viva Naturals Pure Vegetable Glycerine.

I was originally disappointed because the product is grainy and runny
I was originally disappointed because the product is grainy and runny, but I researched the differences.Shea Butter Nicolica is from Eastern Africa (Sudan) and Shea Butter Vitellaria paradoxa is from Western Africa (Uganda). I am accustomed to the butters from the West, they are more solid in form. I simply needed to adjust make my hair and body cream. I didn't need to add in so many carrier oils to get a smooth whipped butter. I actually like this shea alone.

I love the way Viva Naturals Organic Shea Butter feels on ...
I love the way Viva Naturals Organic Shea Butter feels on my skin. It's such a good moisturizer for elbows, feet and heels. it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and smelled very nice too. I am using it to make body butter and other health items for the skin. It spreads easily and mixed well with my essential oils. Its' really versatile and can be made into a lot of products which makes it a nice thing to have around the house. It also relieves the itch from the eczema on my hands. I have also tried various products and home remedies to fight my unruly and frizzy hair. I tried this cream on my hair before washing and I love the results. It made it much easier, manageable and my hair was very shiny after blow-drying. It's also completely organic which is perfect. I am extremely pleased and would recommend this product to others! I have to disclose that I received this product at a promotional discount or for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Excellent Nilotica Shea Butter!!! Appreciate the USDA Certification!
First time trying Nilotica Shea butter from East and loving it! Way softer than the regular Shea from West, but I still love the West Shea’s thickness for my face and legs (different preference). This butter’s smell is very light compared to the West Shea that I usually order. The container arrived sealed, which is pivotal in quality! Also, the top of the butter was a bit grainy and melted a little, but I don’t mind because no additives are inside to preserve the texture, which supports its naturalness. After some research, I learned that Nilotica butter melts way more easily than West Shea, so the topical liquid part is not uncommon during temperature changes. Also, I tried the product and it absorbed fast and made my skin velvety smooth, especially feet. It felt like I got a pedicure out of nowhere! Furthermore, USDA Certified Organic is the way to go! Thanks for offering USDA certified, raw butter at a reasonable price. I abandoned another seller because the price skyrocketed and I couldn’t keep up paying for the Shea butter, even though it is USDA certified organic. I really appreciate this superb butter at an excellent price! I will be a permanent customer and definitely repurchase. Update: Jar is almost half empty, in less than a week, really enjoy and love your product!
