A fine product...
I've been using raw, shelled, highly nutritious hemp seed for quite a few years, formerly buying it in the five pound bag. It's just become too expensive for that though. This two pound Healthworks product is a good substitute. It's a high quality product in a re-sealable pouch. I will buy it again. Now for the rant. The hemp plant is probably the most useful on the entire planet. You can eat it, wear it, cook with it, write on it, print on it. Sailing ships could never have discovered the new world without it. It's more nutritious than cotton seed. It would make a better fuel additive than corn, and takes nothing to grow it. It is a weed. Here in the uptight USA though, we can't grow it because someone might actually grow a pot plant out in the middle of the field. Consequently, it mostly comes from Canada and is much more expensive than it should be. Want to save the trees? Feed the hungry? Legalize hemp.

Detritious and Nulicious
what a product ! i mix this with flax seed meal. mix it in a chocolate milk. between them, they add bulk to my, um, elimination. high in fiber, and protein. i am considerably less bloated, and have dropped 35 pounds (from 265) over 4 months. i don't feel as if i have done anything else different. product comes in a high quality resealable bag. is well ground. has a bit of a neutral nutty flavor. sprinkle on salads, in cereal, etc. price is great. i will certainly buy again from these folks.

Makes great milk
Use these to make hemp milk. Love the product, and appreciate the convenience and savings of auto-ship. My recipe: 1 quart filtered cold water in VitaMix Add 3/4 cup of Hemp Seeds and 3 Tablespoons of Organic Blue Agave. Blend on high for 2 minutes. Add chilled water and ice to cool down milk and increase volume. I make close to 2 quarts this way. Adjust water for desired consistency. No need to filter any pulp!!!!

A winner w/maple syrup & oats
We tried these as part of increasing plant based Omega 3 & proteins in our diet. This product has a "fresh", "green" flavor... But be aware there is a sharp edge to the nutty flavor that can take getting used to. Our favorite way to eat it is adding a few spoonfuls on a bowl of plain old fashioned oats, with just a little real maple syrup & either yogurt or milk. YUM! Hopefully it will eventually become more affordable (I realize that sadly, government regulations & harsh enforcement practices are hindering this!)... A valuable plant resource that we'll make it a point to continue fitting into the budget.

4DOGS2!!!
Part of our daily regimen for our dogs! They’re older 80lb+ boys and get scoop of these along with a tbl spoon of yoghurt every evening mixed into their dry food. WOW!!! Longer walks and NO farts!!! Both seem to be moving more quickly/easily. And appreciate their not contributing to air pollution in home. (Think that’s the result of the yoghurt)

Yummy on my granola! Great protein burst!
After deciding to go vegetarian I needed a way to supplement my protein intake and this is exactly what I needed. This brand is delicious and nutritious as well as a great price! When I searched for Hemp Seeds in my local health food stores the prices were more than twice the price of this product on Amazon Prime!

Almond and Hemp Milk recipe
I use the hemp seed meal in my milk recipe (follows) to make a rich, full flavored and very creamy drink. I had to stop drinking milk because of digestive problems and an unwillingness to pop another pill every day. I started out with the usual soy and rice concoctions but was weary of the chemicals used by their producers so decided to make my own. I started out with just almonds but wanted to explore other options and noticed products with coconut and other nuts and seeds so I put my training as a chef to work. I needed a creamy product with a nice mellow taste and a high protein content (I'm a type 1 diabetic.) I had always liked almond milk but it didn't have that creamy consistency I was looking for so I added some coconut but it still didn't have the cream I wanted. I was making a salad and had just tossed some hemp seed on as a garni and thought of hemp seed to come up with the taste i wanted. After experimenting with different amounts I finally came up with this combination. The chia seed adds a thicker consistency and gives this recipe a mouth very close to whole dairy milk. FOUR THREE TWO ONE NON DAIRY MILK 4 ounces whole blanched almonds 3 ounces grated unsweetened coconut 2 ounces Healthworks hemp seed 1 ounce chia or flax seed Soak the almonds in enough cold water to cover by an inch or so for 8 to 12 hours in refrigerator. Combine other ingredients and add 2 cups 175*F water and let sit for 10 minutes while you blend the almonds and cold water in a blender for 3 minutes on high. Strain the nut mixture through a nut milk bag and poor liquid into a 2 litre pitcher. Return the pulp to the blender with the coconut and hot water mixture and blend for another 2 minutes and strain through the bag again. Add enough water to the pitcher and chill. Option, add a tablespoon of agave syrup or honey and a half teaspoon of salt for a rounder taste. Option, add a quarter cup or more of cacao nibs to the hot water mixture.

An excellent price for this pantry staple
I was very pleased with this purchase. I feel that the shelled seats are of good quality good flavor and good texture. The product is very fresh in the packaging keeps it that way. I use a lot of hempseed making my own hemp milk and also adding it to smoothies. This product is perfect for both. I'm also very happy with the price I paid. I would buy this again.

Best hemp seeds for the price anywhere
This product is exactly as claimed. Nice fresh nutty flavor. I put them on everything. Well, everything except steaks. Good when toasted and put on burgers though. I toast up about a cup with olive oil every few days. If hemp seeds help us live longer I should live a long long time. I will most likely purchase this particular product brand from now on. I am very satisfied with the quality and flavor. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Not only very healthy, tis tasty too.
I really was sceptical about the idea of them having a mild nutty taste & being able to use them in so many ways. But its true. Just like their fun cousins, it does have a lot of uses.
