As an regular intermittent faster (2 times a week and one 3-4 day fast each month) HMB is an amazing product to use in conjunction with it. Double Wood makes some of the best supplements on the market and this one is just another great one. ( I wish they made more products) HMB can help you maintain your gains and strength during episodes of low calories or when you have a long time out of the gym. I’ve been lifting for a few years now, and there’s nothing I dread more than an injury. It’s happened a few times with the worst ones keeping me out of the gym for weeks and even months at a time. I’ve always struggled with maintaining muscle mass when trying to cut weight and truly little is as depressing as watching my lifts fall week to week when on a cut. I recently have begun a new cut after a long winter of bulking, and decided to try using HMB for this one as I heard it can help prevent muscle loss when cutting. Well, I'm never the first on on the band wagon when it comes to supplements or new drugs for my patients. I typically let others and their patients be the ginney pigs. I limit my own supplements due to my age and time in my sport. Found myself in my 50s with two new babies and feeling gravity. I love taking HMB. I love it’s anti catabolic effects on the muscles. It allows me to be able to lower my caloric intake to lose fat but ensure I keep my muscle mass I work so hard to gain. By maintaining my muscle mass while losing weight this also ensures I am less susceptible to Rebound getting fat again.
