My half-Ragdoll/half-Siamese kitten is an extremely picky eater. She refuses to eat soft cat food. If your kitten can eat soft cat food and you can afford it this is always the healthiest route, no matter the brand. When eating soft cat food, cats don't get constipated, and it greatly diminishes gastrointestinal issues. I tried nearly every brand of soft cat food, and mixed it with everything. It was a no-go. For a long while, I had our adult cats eating very expensive grain-free dry food. Then one of our cats got very sick. When we took the sick cat in, the veterinarian claimed grain-free food is just the latest gimmick. He said what cats don’t need are peas and potatoes, as sometimes to replace grains, companies add vegetables. In the wild, a cat will eat prey that eats grains. Therefore, indirectly, a cat in the wild is eating grains. So, after trying soft foods, a couple dry foods our kitten refused, and knowing I didn’t have to buy the most expensive grain-free kitten food, I decided to try Iams. At the time, my kitten was not eating anything unless she ate it out of my hand. It was crazy! And then she was only eating small amounts. My life seemed to revolve around getting her to eat. I thought kittens were supposed to love eating. For awhile, she really seemed to like Iams kitten food. While I'd rather give her soft food, Iams has sufficient protein and omegas and all the healthy things kittens need to grow. But, my kitten is very picky. She soon lost interest in Iams. Baylee discovered her older sibling’s senior cat food: Nutra Max for Seniors. That’s all she wanted. Eventually, I ended up switching her to Nutra Max Kitten, and a couple months later she is still gobbling it down and out of her bowl. I had tried a good dozen foods. There is nothing wrong with Iams Kitten. I just have a picky kitten. At the time I introduced Iams we had three cats. One of them was 21. Last month, she passed away. Before she passed she got really thin. We ended up feeding her the rest of the Iams. She loved the Iams, and it was so easy for her to eat. The kibble are small, so cats don’t even have to chew. If you have a senior cat that needs to gain weight and is having a difficult time chewing you may want to try giving her/him Iams Kitten. I’ve read other reviewers post the same. I’d recommend Iams if you plan to feed your kitten dry food. It’s affordable. The kibble is small, and easy for them to digest. Lastly, it’s a reputable brand that has been around a long while. This saved my senior cat. My cat serously Eats NOTHING. He is so turned off by dry food I have 5 different Expensive kibble brands, just sitting there. I finally had my last shot and ordered this kibble since approved by my vet. For the first time in 3 years, my cat at a CUP full of this food and more!!! He loves it! He is gaining his weight back and acts like a young cat again.

Truly amazing, currently have two cats in the house... a 7 year old and a 14 year old... The 14 year old was given 30 days to live, Kidney failure... Vet had her on a K/D food... she hated it... I figured if she only had 30 days to live let her go out on a high and I fed her this iams kitten food... That was 6 months ago... she now is bounding around like a kitten. /shrug The 7 year old loves it too... He disappeared for two weeks and was trapped under a neighbor house... He came back malnourished he had lost 4.5 lbs... The kitten food brought him back to fighting weight... Neither cat is fat right now... I dont expect to feed this to them always, maybe once every 4-5 months as a treat...

One of my cats is the queen of throwing up. After several trips to the vet, he said it was because her fur is too long and she has a hairball problem. We tried several different brands of cat food for hairballs. Iams Hairball Care is the only thing that seems to stop her from vomiting all over the house. The pellets seem to be smaller than most cat foods as well, which is nice because she is a small cat. After 2 months of using this brand, she is finally putting on some weight, her trips to the litter box are less messy and she hasn't thrown up. It's a win-win in this house.

This product meets all the ingredient criteria as per our vet for male cats, wirh chronic UTI infections. It was by far the lowest in magnesium of all the others, and both my male and my very finicky female Bengal cat like it. SCORE

This is my daughter writing, This kitten food is really nice! It is small so it easy for our kitten to crunch up!😁. Our kitten loves this stuff! Shipped fast! **And also if you are just starting to wean your cat off of KMR, just put hot water over the kitten food and let it get soft so the kitten can eat it easily with out gagging on it!**😁 I recommend!❤️ If this was helpful please select “helpful

My cat is the perfect target market for this food: she's indoor, has weight issues, and is prone to hairballs. I cycle her through a variety of dry foods. I feed her canned, Weruva food in the morning. In the evening, I give her a bit of dry food to hold her until morning. Typically I choose dry foods that are targeted to weight and/or hairball issues. She's not a picky eater and will eat whatever I give her, but has her favorites for sure. Iams proactive health is definitely a new favorite. She loves the taste, her bowel movements have improved, and her hairballs are less frequent. Other reviewers are complaining about the ingredients, but I'm only seeing positive results with the food. Considering it's not my cat's only source of nutrition, I'm sold.

But I have bought a bunch of "high end" cat food like blue buffalo and I grabbed this ONE time at walmart to get me though the night until I could go get more "good food" and now this is ALL they will eat. They will cry till I get more.. Little shits know what they want. I thought feeding them a cheaper food was bad but I just want them to be happy... and to shut up haha.

I always liked IAMS. But this new little kitty was given to us at 5 months old weighing in at only 2.1 #. After a vet check and medicine for worms, this supplemented her well. She was 4.5 # at the next months visit one month later. I gave her the amount on package and small amounts of wet food. But she usually leaves a small amount of the wet ~ But cleans up all the Iams kibble!! You can see her getting progressively healthier in the photos. Her fur has become healthy look too.

I wouldn't feed my cats anything else. I had a Siamese cat that was on this for 19 years of her life. If she can live that long on Iams then I will continue to use it on my other 2 cats. I use the indoor hairball and my cats only have hairballs about once or twice a month. One is a long hair gray pursian.
