My children are not chocolate lovers, so we always buy the advent calendars that are filled with trinkets. For the price, I’m very happy with this calendar, My son is five and loves art. So, this is perfect for him. It’s filled with usable items like a paint set and think markers.Would buy again next year.

This is worth every single penny. The actual Crayola items in the calendar probably don't cost much but the worth is in the daily activities. Many advent calendars take a millisecond of attention from my kids. This one takes time to actual entertain them. The bonus is that they feel they have helped to decorate with all of their drawings.

My 7 year old loves this! The products inside are great and the activity sheets in the back are fun. Word of advise - parents need to peek at the activity sheet before the kids. A couple of days have 2 sheets, some days have none. But the directions for the activity are on the inside of numbered "door" on the front of he calendar. READ THESE. For example - Day 4 says to color an ornament and decorate it with stickers. When you go to pull the activity sheet from the No Peeking folder, there will be a wreath ornament plus a second sheet with stickers to color.

This was the best advent calendar we've ever had. I bought it for a 6 year old, but I have to say that even the 11 year old was envious. There was something fun each day. Model magic, scented markers, glitter glue, glue stick, make your own card, make your own door hanger, make your own gift tags, make your own gingerbread house, plus crayons and a new gel slick crayon! The coordinating activity sheets really made this a winner. Would definitely buy again and we will be looking for a newer edition next year.

My son has absolutely loved the activities in this calendar so far. There has been a new project or activity each day, with a different type of Crayola product for each (so far: paints, scented markers, pipsqueaks, and gel crayon). He comes home from school, sits and diligently completes the projects. My one and only complaint is the box itself. The "doors" open way to easy and as I move the box around to get to the papers in the back. So far, and mind you we are on day five of this calendar, there have been three extra doors opened on accident from fingers accidentally punching through. Small price to pay for some cool Christmas activities for my son :) Consider getting this item for next year!

We bought this advent calender last year and loved it. We have three boys and our 6 year old asked for this one again. Each day has an activity and new pencil, marker, dough, etc. Make sure to open the tab/door on the back for the book of activity sheets that match the day for each month.

Our Elf on the Shelf brought this to our girls this year. I loved that they had activities to do rather than candy or a toy every day. They were able to add to their crayola collection of fun. Their favorites were the scented markers! They've often told other people about their advent calendar who also liked the idea of a crayola advent calendar (Hopefully they remember and amazon/crayola will be getting several sales on their advent calendars next year!)

I bought this advent calendar for my 3-year old. She loved it! Every day she was excited to open it and do a new craft. Way better than candy or small toys, this kept her occupied and excited for Christmas. The calendar has an assortment of some of Crayola’s products that you maybe haven’t used before. The modeling clay was fun, and I really liked the twist up crayon. Getting a new item every day was fun but I think the best part were the little activities. They were great for her to do with visitors. If you’re a parent who enjoys simple crafts but doesn’t have the time or creativity to create them yourself, this is a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit with your child. The crafts were simple and good quality and could be done in a short amount of time.

I bought these for my 9 and 10 year old boys. We are 4 days into it and I've been pretty happy so far. Each day, there is a paper activity as well as a "tool". The paper is fairly heavy cardstock. The "tools" have so far consisted of a scented marker, paints, a brown marker and a red crayon. The activities have included a letter to Santa for them to write, a door sign and wreath decorating. You definitely need to have some other coloring and writing utensils available to make good use of this, but they boys have so far looked forward to seeing what they get every day.

Our first year not having the traditional chocolate calendars. This is a fun advent calendar but the items can be a little tricky to get out of the box. Would also be more fun if there was a little project daily. Not super exciting to open one marker. Update: there is an opening on the back of the box that you are supposed to open day 1. It actually DOES have a daily project. You pull out one sheet each day. We missed it because we were only focused on the front of the box. Luckily my son found the door (day 17..) updating to 5 stars because the little projects look like fun and more of what I was expecting.
