Didnt like it... color was ok but the paint was kinda thick and so was the clear coat... reduced noticability of the scratch was still there... ***update*** A couple weeks later i noticed the clear coat and color blended up and the thickness was reduced significantly i guess u can say it cured or something but I changed this from a 1-2 start to a 4-5 star i must say i like this alot now and will be touching up all the remaining scratches

I purchased this pen to fix a small chip in the hood of my recently purchased used prius. It did that easily. When I realized just how easy it would be to fix things, I decided to fix some much bigger scratches on the back bumper. The older couple who leased it before me backed too far into their garage one day. The dealer decided to fix it by globbing a red paint they already had on hand all over the scratches. i was able to take off that paint with the abrasive tip, sand down the scratches and make the bumper look new again. In fact, after waiting 30 minutes for the red coat to dry, I struggled to find where the scratches were to apply the clear glaze over top. It covered that well! I got the car for $1000 less because of the bumper, and I fixed it with a $12 paint pen. I'm beyond thrilled with this purchase!

This Paint Pen matched the color of my car perfectly. At first I was hesitant to buy it based on the reviews but I'm glad I did. It has a primer and base coat combined and a separate section for Clear Coat. It has a two application methods for paint (Brush and Pen) and a sponge like brush for clear coat. I used the brush and it worked great. It spread the paint evenly. I urge people to read the instructions before using it. I've watched several YouTube videos before using it and most of them are incorrect or give bad advice so, be careful. The tip of the pen has a scuffing tip which is essential for the paint to adhere to the car, please use it. Also, use gentle pressure when using all applicators. I used too much pressure when applying the clear coat and the sponge began to tear. Remember, take your time and don't rush the application. Prep work is the most important part of painting a car. I had roughly 10 - 15 chips I needed to fill, I scuffed and cleaned my surfaces and waited the correct time between coats. The pen comes with plenty of paint to fix chips and scratches. Another note, if your car is older or has more exposure to the sun than normal (California) it might not match perfectly.

This is an absolutely fantastic product, and completely exceeded my expectations. I have "ebony" rims on my 2016 Ford Fusion which were immaculate until one fateful day when I clipped a curb when taking a turn and suffered some "curb rash." The paint scraped off and there was about an inch of exposed alloy which was painfully obvious since it's silver-colored and the rest of my wheels are black. I read the reviews for a number of products and finally settled on this one since it looked like an easy application and came with a clear coat to protect the work. And WOW, it really worked. I sanded the area down just a little bit, and started to apply the paint. I only needed to apply one coat and it was perfect, completely matching the original paint work. I didn't even bother doing a second coat of black, it was so perfect. I let it dry for 30 minutes and then applied the clear coat and now you can't even tell there was any damage to the rims whatsoever. And I mean that seriously, or I would have said so. You can only tell if your eyeballs are inches from the rims and/or you run your fingers across the surface of the rims and find a small rough patch from the initial scraping. This stuff is perfect and works 10 times better than some of the crazy home remedies I searched for on YouTube before settling for this product. I'm sure it works just as well on the paint on your car, but for those people who scraped their rims on a curb, this is the perfect solution for you. My rims have a kind of sheen to them so I went with this Universal Black, which makes it a bit shiny after application. PERFECT!

Accidentally hit a curb causing a couple of small scratches on the outer edge my black wheels. Decided to give this touch-up paint a shot to cover up said scratches instead of going to a body shop and probably end up paying way more. Looked at a youtube tutorial on how to apply the Dupli-Color's touch-up paint since it didn't really come with any instructions, the paint did what I needed it to do. If I had to do it again I would probably sand my wheels down more before applying the touch-up paint but that's my fault on the product's fault. Included pics to show before and after.

Im happy with these results. Before & After attached.

The rust remover end works really good to scratch off the rust. The paint covers perfect and I used this month's ago and it's holding up good. Just be careful that you don't open it upside down and dump all the paint out like I did.

I purchased one like this year ago for my other car it was awful. This pen is AMAZING! Once it is fully cured and dried it blends right in just give it a few days. For scratches and small knicks I apply the paint then immediately wipe it with a paper towel. This way it isnt bubbled up and it still fills the gap. Just dont add door much or it will spread and ull have to cover more with the clear coat. Practice in a test piece till you learn how it works. You can also pour a bit out then use a toothpick to apply it on small parts. Great product very happy with it! I just bought an 8 yo silverado and the shape of the wheel well fenders are rock catchers so I scraped and painted all the dings so now you cant even tell they were there!

Remember when touch up paint was nothing more than fancy nail polish in the way it is applied? Well, even nail polish salons use airbrushes these days leaving vehicle touch-up paint in the dark ages. Since there's no mini airbrush included but it does come with a nifty fine point press to paint tip for small chips and scratches. Not quite cat nail scratch thin but definitely will aid in touching up normal paint chips and key scratches. There's also the traditional nail polish brush under the paint cap. Included is a ceramic paint chip cleaner which was helpful to loosen any micro cracked paint near the chip. Also the bottom has a foam brush to apply the clear coat making an almost flawless finish. PROS: paint match was about 95% and ease to apply using the press to paint mini tip. Clear coat to help put back the shine. CONS: not much but I would expect this to dry out no matter how tight I keep the cap on. The cost was reasonable compared to the one from the dealer but still would rather this to be closer to $12 than $15 OVERALL: if you have some small stone chips, then this is for you!

I have a magnetic-colored Ford and this touchup color was PERFECTLY matched. It had all the little metallic specs that the original paint has as well. The instructions were very simple (make sure to open the caps the right way since I didn't read the instructions first before opening the clear coat side...). Other than that, it was fun seeing all the rock dings and scratches on my car getting filled up with this pen. The clear coat was easy to apply as well with the brush once the paint dried. Of course, don't expect this pen to magically make the scratch completely, 100% disappear. If you look up close to the area, you will be able to see the touched-up areas. But to the average eye and just passing by, there's no way someone will see it unless they closely examine your car for some reason... Overall, I'd buy this again but hopefully not any time soon since that'd mean more scratches :T
