I have used about everything to hold calipers. Coat hangers, twine, tywraps never provided a constantly satisfactory solution. So, I bit the bullet and purchased these. They are a little longer than most, are stainless steel, and are stout. I opted for the longer hanger, so I could have a little latitude for hanging from one of several coil spring coils. So far, on my Avalon, they have worked well. The front calipers have a shorter rubber hose, so I was able to hang from the coil spring at the perfect point to keep it out of the way.

Fist let me say why did I wait so long. Yes they are just hooks. But they are hooks with a purpose. They perform that purpose very well. They are heavy and work great. No more bailing wire.. They make it easy to hang calipers and save your break lines. Nd made in the good old US of A. well that is a bonus.

I bought these thinking they are pretty expensive for what they are. On the other hand, drop a caliper that pulls out that bungee and suddenly the price isn't so bad. I mostly work on light trucks, so the coat hanger trick isn't going to fly-- I won't trust a 1 ton caliper to a piece of wire I can bend by hand and I don't want to waste my time twisting and untwisting coat hanger wire to ensure that the caliper won't come loose and perhaps pull out the brake line. So these work pretty well, and you can do limited work on the caliper like slide pins without risking some ad hock method failing, these hangers are quite strong. And I like the stainless, no rust or chipping paint, biggest risk is losing them (I bought the unpainted stainless, not the orange ones... conflicted about that, the orange ones are less likely to drive off by accident).

I don’t know where these have been all my life. For years I used wire, coat hangers, zip ties, and just nothing at all. Just rest the caliper on the control arm or hand off a spring. Till the last time I did a brake job and bumped the caliper. It fell and hit me right between the eyes and split my forehead open. Needless to say I came across these and bought them right away. Well worth it.

These are very heavy duty and hold their shape. I work on mostly heavy duty trucks and these are the best I've seen. The most important part is they need to stay as a hook and these do the best job at that. Stainless steel 1/4" diameter will not rust. No goofy plastic caps to fall off, no paint or plastic coating to come off, no lightweight steel to straighten out. These are simple and strong. Highest quality! Highly recommend!

These little hooks really make doing brake jobs easier. Once you remove the calipers just hang them on a hook out of the way to let you finish the job without the calipers being in the way or just dangling by the brake hose. Great value for the price and if you work on your own car you will use them again and again and be glad you have these laying around.

Well what can I say I purchased these and haven’t really used them yet they do seem to be very well constructed and I imagine they will work fine when I finally do to get a chance to use them I’ve needed something like this every time I do a brake jobAre usually use mechanics wire D seem like they will be quicker and a lot easier to use

I was able to use this hanger hooks for first time. What a difference compared to using wires. They are light weight and easy and convenient to hang the caliper from the strut spring. Nothing much more to say.

Great price for stainless steel hooks. I wanted ones that were not painted, so the paint would not flake off and cause the hook to rust. These worked perfect when I used them to hold the brake caliper out of the way while replacing wheel bearings.

Cheap and easy to use when compared to using wire or zip ties to hang your caliper as to not pull on the brake hose. They seem plenty sturdy for years of use.
