There is nothing spectacular about a spring installation tool. I purchased this tool to install springs on new motorcycle exhaust headers and it worked great. Sturdy enough for strong spring pull and has an angle at the hook for hard to reach areas. Does not bend or flex under pull and I was not worried the springs would slip off during install. Wish I had it when changing drum brakes on former older truck I had. It is 6 inches in length and handle is 3 inches wide. Fits in with all of my T-handle allen/torx keys in tool box.

UPDATE (25FEB2017): Adding two stars (now it's 5 stars). Did a couple more brake jobs with the tool. It worked great, and was very quick and easy. Quicker and easier than using vice-grips, like I used before. Although vice-grips work well too. Job well done ABN. job well done. ---------- Not very useful for me. Angle seems odd during spring pull insert, and spring pull removal. Was greatly slowing me down, and extremely ineffective. This tool just wasn't getting the job done. I'm being generous with three stars. Suggestion: Use a pair of vice-grips for quick and easy spring insert and removal. It's much quicker and easier than this tool.

I reviewed the first one I bought, and I like it so much I bought my son one! My latest use was on my lawn tractor, I used this tool to change the drive belt tension spring, took 5 minutes, without this,1hr.

This tool made pulling two very strong springs easy. They were springs to hold an exhaust canister on a motorcycle exhaust pipe on a street bike. Could be a little better with a soft thick coating on the handle. The angle of the hook was the key to it working so well.

This tool works perfectly for far less money than other companies same tool. I recommend buying from this company and I will buy from them again.

Sturdy yet fits in tight spots. Makes even tough springs more pull able than brake pliers.

Love this tool I use to Pull springs off my exspanssion chamber

30 year technician here, where has this been my whole life? Makes handling springs on drum brake jobs so much easier.

I used this tool to remove springs from my corvette headlights. It worked great.

This was purchased as a backup to the one I bought at least a year ago. The strength surprised me. The shape allows it to work very well in many situations. I did not expect it to withstand a pull with ratchet strap on a coil spring that was way too strong for it. It did not deform/break and worked perfectly.
