Great for later model Toyota plug changes

Good quality tool. This is needed to efficiently change plugs on many late model Toyota vehicles such as my 2010 4Runner 4.0 liter. I found using a regular swivel spark plug socket and a regular extension will not work well as the socket usually separates from the extension deep in the well after installing the new plug.

I highly recommend this spark plug socket + extension. The extension is the perfect size to where it sticks up out of the engine but not too high where it would hit the cowling. The swivel also helped me get the socket into the cylinder to where a straight one would not have been able to. Also the magnet is quite strong so it holds onto the spark plugs very reliably so I didn't worry about dropping them into the cylinders. Not much else to say, it just was the perfect tool for the job since Honda quoted me $180 and it took me 15 minutes to do it myself.

Worked a charm. The right length for eacy access and changing of spark plugs in my VW TSI engine. Super secure magnet makes removing the old and inserting the new plugs a breeze.

no more losing my socket down the spark plug tube

Have you ever installed a spark plug, then when you go to remove your socket from the hole, your extensions pull out of the socket leaving the socket behind? as soon as this happened the first time, I decided to order a spark plug socket with a permanently mounted extension. after this occuring another 7 times (read: V8) I was pretty dead set. It works great and is plenty long to reach down the long spark plug tubes of DOHC engines, so it has earned it's place in my toolbox

Always the need for another tool

In spite of having a professional level tool box this tool was a nice addition for getting to the plugs on my 1.4 L Jeep Renegade. The magnet holds the spark plug securely to get down to the plug hole without holding it too tight that it won't come out of the socket. The tool does not indicate a country of manufacture but that doesn't concern me for a low torque application like spark plugs.

Excellent well made product

I really didn’t need a swivel spark plug remover, at least I thought I didn’t. I purchased this to remove the spark plug in my Polaris Ranger 400. It was too deep to use my normal removal tool. When I started to take the plug out, I actually had to swivel the socket to clear a bar above the engine. The magnet was great getting the plug out of the recessed hole. The magnet is very powerful which was a pleasant surprise. I put the new plug in the magnet socket and it was easy to put it back in. This is a very well made tool, completely smooth with no rough spots or defects. It is well made and a very good quality product.

I bought this extension to change the spark plugs in my 2009 Honda Accord and I can't recommend it enough. Made the process of removing the old spark plugs and installing the new ones a breeze! Thank you Ares for a high quality product that is no nonsense and does the job right.

Must have for Tune Ups

Really high quality tool that is far superior to any spark plug socket w/ rubber gasket that I've used. The magnet in this socket has enough strength to hold a plug securely and easily pops out when you need it to. The built in long extension saves you one extra step and you don't have to worry about the socket popping off since it's permanently attached. A must have to remove spark plugs in most cars!
