Love it - great product

This product came right on time and was exactly as pictured. I like that it gives you the option of having the USB port or plug in an outlet all in one. Makes for a good "behind the" (couch, desk, table) outlet. It isn't loose in the outlets that I have tried, and neither is the actual product - it seems like a snug (in a good way) fit and stays in. Before I purchased this, I read a lot of reviews that said it was really bulky or big.. but I didn't know what they were talking about when I got the product - it's actually kind of small for being a product with 3 outlets and 2 USB ports. I would definitely buy again if I need more!

Handy device; buying another. Don't hesitate!

I've had this since September and am very pleased. I was looking for a replacement lightning cable charger adapter (i.e. is something to plug into outlet with a USB port). I was looking for a single unit, like I'd had from Apple, when I saw the multiple USB & outlet adapters with surge protection. I never looked back. A surge in a hotel room once which fried my wall plug/adapter. It was alarming but the lighting cord and my iPhone were unharmed that time. You never know. I appreciate the surge protection. I find it very handy to have the double USB ports at my bedside to charge my iPhone & Apple Watch. It does make accessing the other wall outlet challenging but I now have 3 outlets--with surge protection. There is one 1.0A USB and one 2.4A USB port as indicated by the 1 and 2 lightning bolt icons. The 1.0A is recommended for phones, the 2.4A for tablets. I've had my phone or my watch in the 2.4A port and haven't had any problems with it being too much. I want to buy another just for travel. I'd like one that's this light (3.5 oz) but I'm searching for one that also can handle 240V (not just US 110) so I can use it in other countries without bringing a heavy converter. I don't really need the outlets, just several USB ports. I'd prefer a product that is UL listed but that seems rare, so at least has met ETL standards (as this Amazon Basic product does). If anyone has found something, please comment!

Functional, but apply caution when using

HEAT IS THE BANE of any electrical device or electrical circuit. The user needs to pay attention to the load-limits of this and any other device. Where the pictorial on the face of the device shows only one lightning bolt USB port, plug in nothing more than a cell phone. Where the pictorial on the face of the device shows two lightning bolts for the USB port you can plug in a laptop or other load requiring no more than 2-Amps. Plugging-in too heavy a load—any component or appliance having too little resistance—will cause the circuitry of this device to overheat. Remember, this is true of all electrical devices and appliances. Again, HEAT IS THE BANE of any electrical device or electrical circuit.

Works well and saves space

Takes up no room and I appreciate the USB ports to charge my devices. I have been using and works fine. I charged my phone and plugged in my hair dryer and a lamp.

Convenient solution for messy outlets

I love the convenience of having 2 USB outlets combined with a 3 outlet tap, plus it's surge protected and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? I originally bought it to power my bathroom Echo Dot, so I wouldn't loose an outlet, but I have since purchased 3 more for my bedroom, kitchen and living room to eliminate the messy power strips and USB adaptors. I keep a USB cable connected to the living room and bathroom for guests to use. It's convenient and I don't have to scrounge up a charger for my weak battery guests to use. It's always available.

A cheaper, better alternative to those AC outlets with built-in USB ports

This actually is quite handy. I tried both the USB plugs and they charge as expected. The red light in between them lights up when plugged in showing you the surge protection is on. I haven't had a surge yet to check if it's working like it's supposed to. I like that my 2 plug outlet has become 3 outlets along with the USB ones. Instead of buying those AC outlets with built-in USB ports, this is much cheaper and installs faster.

These are the best surge protectors with USB that I have ever bought! Usually I have to buy ones that screw in to the socket to keep them from falling out, but these stay in without it! I will definitely buy these again!

I have been looking to change some of the outlets in my house to include USB ports due to the fact that every electronic device sold now has USB chargers. I found this to be an easy cost effective alternative that also protect my devices from power surges. I am now able to charge my iPhone and Fitbit without taking up space with those bulky cubes and am still able to plug in my lamp and home phone in one spot.

Excellent Surge Protector

I purchased this surge protector on July 1, 2017. Since then, I've been using it everyday to charge my tablets (Amazon,LG and Samsung tablets), I charge all the cell phones in my house (LG, Samsung, Iphone) and this surge protector charge them very fast like a fast charger. It is well constructed and durable plastic material. I used this surge protector when I traveled to Nicaragua and since the energy in Nicaragua is very unstable, many times the light goes off suddenly,this surge protector helped me many times to keep my cell phone safe from any short circuit. The LED protection indicator lights up help you a lot, it reminds you there is energy when is connected to an outlet.
