When shopping online for a bread machine, I was intrigued with the fact this one could be an ice cream maker as well, which saves space and no need to purchase two appliances. I also saw that the company had great service, which is another reason we purchased this one. We wanted to be assured that they would help if anything went wrong. 4 months later it walked off of the counter while kneading. I contacted the seller and they responded within a few hours! They replaced the entire unit, free of charge or shipping, including the ice cream canister. (Ours had fallen from the freezer and cracked and though my husband glued it, we were happy for a new one!) It has served us quite well, we average a loaf 3x a week. My husband also had fun experimenting with the ice cream maker a lot this summer. It comes out soft serve, just enough for two adults after the kids are in bed. Very simple layout, and easy to use. Fairly noisy, but it saves me baking, so I am not complaining. We love that the full size loaf fits in a Ziplock gallon bag. Add salt to the ice cream recipe, and to make it chocolate, mix a few tablespoons of cocoa powder in water, nuke it a few seconds until it is a syrup and then add to the recipe. Will update review if anything changes!

Great product for the price

First I made the basic white bread from the small recipe on the back of the instructions booklet this was in grams ahh. I did it anyway and this turned out great with a odd shape but tasted good at least it did not collapse like the expensive one I had to send back to QVC so I then made a 1lb banana nut bread out of my old bread machine recipe book yum yum was this great absolutely no collapsing in the center just tasted great. I recommend this machine for a good starting project for men and women it came quickly and was packed very well I live in high altitudes over 5000 but this machine works well

Perfect loaf of bread every time and makes ice cream too!

I had purchased the original Cravit bread and ice cream maker years ago and was very happy with it but noticed recently the company had come out with a new and improved second generation machine that had 4 added settings and an ice cream barrel that was larger than the original. I decided to give it a try and am even happier with the new one! I had been experimenting for months with various gluten free recipes and can safely say I've never had a loaf come out more perfect then with this machine's gluten free setting. The unit also has an easy-to-read instruction manual but it's barely needed as its very user-friendly, contains 19 different options that also make cakes, yogurt, jams, a dough only setting...literally a mini bakery!! Would be a great appliance for a college dorm room or in an RV in the summer when you want homemade breads or cake, but don't want the heat in the camper. And the kids love the ice cream maker, it makes about 4-5 cups of ice cream in a few minutes, making it possible to make cake AND ice cream from the same unit. 5-stars for this great bread maker with a price point that is well worth the money!!

We love this machine!! Great combo!

After researching the wide variety of bread makers out there, I decided to order the Cravit bread and ice cream maker. I loved the sleek, stainless steel design and the price felt right for such a nice unit. I received this machine in two days, in excellent condition and immediately ran out to get the few ingredients needed to make my first loaf of bread (low carb, whole wheat). I'm happy to report the first attempt produced EXCELLENT results and our house smelled amazing for hours! The QUICK START guide inserted in the box was very helpful with 3 simple steps to ensure every loaf is perfect right out of the machine. Yesterday my wife made a delicious cinnamon bread and it was the best I've ever had!! There is also something very comforting about knowing exactly what’s in the bread our family is eating. Even better, THE ICE CREAM MAKER. This was an additional feature of the bread maker that I thought was a nice bonus we might use now and then. However, the kids were all curious about it! Last Saturday afternoon, they were determined to try it, we all went out for the few ingredients needed (added some chocolate and caramel syrup and sprinkles!) and made our first batch. Not only was it easy and quickly made (7-10 minutes), it was delicious!! Now I just stock the fridge with ingredients and the kids get all excited about making ice cream when they want (within reason). Again, nice to know exactly what is in it...and I've been purchasing the low fat/low calorie version of everything (they don't care as long as it tastes great), to make it a healthier treat. The serving size is about right for 3, and you can make two batches (possibly three, but we haven’t tried that yet) back-to-back. Couldn't be more perfect! I was really disappointed they did not include more ice cream recipes with it, but fortunately I Googled “homemade ice cream recipe” and found there are hundreds of great homemade ice cream recipes on the internet. They should actually mention that in their manual! The machine itself is very user friendly without much instruction and the non-stick coating of the bread bucket makes it simple to pop the bread out nicely when completed. Lightweight and non noisy, this bread maker was well-thought out and designed. Also contains a great little manual with instructions and various bread recipes. We are so happy with this purchase! If you're looking for a great bread maker AND ice cream maker, this is the ticket!!

BEST Mother's Day Gift EVER!!!!

My hubby asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day this year, knowing I was feeling down from having been diagnosed recently with sensitive stomach issues and had my diet severely restricted (intolerant and mal-absorbed everything, it seems). He had been secretly researching some of my issues online and noticed that people were not giving up eating the things they love, they were just making their own homemade versions with modified ingredients! :) Well, knowing how much I love bread (and ice cream!!), he suggested we purchase a bread machine and make our own so I wouldn’t have to miss out. What a game changer for me!! We immediately logged onto Amazon and discovered one that actually makes bread AND ice cream…huh. That peaked our curiosity, as I love ice cream too but it’s also on the NO NO list! We giggled like little kids and promptly ordered it! It came two days later and carefully watching my ingredients, I made my first loaf of gluten-free white bread (mode setting #7). I wouldn’t say it was the most perfectly-shaped loaf of bread, but the texture and taste were DELICIOUS. And the BEST part? Was the first bread I had eaten in months with no negative side effects! My hubby made the ice cream using the simple vanilla ice cream recipe and it turned out just like homemade ice cream!! We followed the easy instructions carefully and we intend to use it often....especially when the kids are coming over. What a breakthrough and what a great product! Hubby and I are SOLD!!

I received this bread machine a few weeks ago. I tried many gluten free recipes and out of 10 tries I got 1 or 2 worth mentioning. Not the machines fault; due entirely to my in inexpertise with gluten free bread and finding a good doable recipe (a work in progress I'm told). Kimberly, the owner, sent me the ice cream attachment and I've only attempted the process once (and again, a work in process not due to the machine). The owner is very friendly and easy to work with - - just ask! Incidentally, the "Homemade" bread button is programable to do mix, stir, rise, etc. to your specifications. You can do 1, 2 or 3 rises and set the time for each; same with mix & stir.

It's an Excellent Machine

What they claim this machine does, it does. It's awesome to bake all my favorite breads. My favorite of all the French bread. Love the smells in the house. I recommend this product because is one of the best in the market. I did my homework, did you do yours?

Great Bread Maker

Don't let the 3 Stars fool you-it's a great bread maker! We used it almost daily! Until the day we lost the dough paddle. I have called at least 3 times that I can remember to speak to someone about a replacement part. I can't even get a return phone call. So the bread machine is great in itself, but the customer service is lacking. I'm very disappointed as I enjoyed using it. And yes, I know, I should not have lost my paddle, but I did. UPDATE: Found their email, used that, and they responded right away! Seems I had an outdated phone number printed on my instruction book. Very responsive and she is sending me a new paddle asap. So, it's 5 stars!

My wife uses it at least twice a week.

Also good for cakes, making cake dough, and of course, bread. My wife loves it because she just dumps in the ingredients and walks away. I made a large label for the top of it so she can easily translate a loaf size in a recipe to the metric units this machine uses in the menu. (for 1, 1.5, and 2 lb. loaves)
