First Day: Installed easy in 30 minutes. Both monitors paired pretty fast and seem to be accurate. I am very surprised that I am able to monitor the level from my house, 100 feet away from the tanks. It is very cool that you can monitor the battery life as well. I installed this system 12 hours ago and the battery seems lower than expected (see photos on iPhone app). We are going camping today so I will update my review after we return home in 3 days. Update- I love this two tank system for my camper. It was nearly plug and play and has worked flawlessly through this summer.

I utilized this dual sensor set with monitor on my fifth wheel camper that has dual 30lb tanks in the built in enclosure consisting entirely of sheet metal. I will admit I was not sure it was going to work correctly given the entire enclosure was metal, however, I was pleasantly surprised that after installation all has been working normally for several months. It was nice to be able to tell my guests in the camper to expect the furnace to stop operating due to one tank "running on empty"! This product has eliminated the "surprise" I usually got in the middle of the night due to an unexpectedly empty tank. Now I can plan accordingly, and have a really good idea when I will have to swap tanks while on trips to the mountains! The monitor was mounted directly next to the water tank monitor and is a great addition to the camper. I do have one "gripe" regarding this product, although it has nothing to do with the functionality of the unit. I feel that the included tank "stand offs" needed for the sensor clearance on the bottom could be made a bit larger and perhaps of a better material than they are. Number one gripe is size, these stand offs are only about one inch by one inch and attempting to wrestle the tanks into the enclosure with these attached is quite the chore. They like to slide off and end up in various places under the tank itself instead of staying put where they were slid on. This makes for a very small space to try and slide my fingers under and reposition them as needed a larger size would be most helpful. Secondly, they are made of fairly soft rubber, so I am fairly certain that when I tighten the tank hold down that the poor sensor is being crushed tight between the tank and the tank holder. A stiffer material might be in order to protect the sensors. Time will tell if I have to fabricate my own stand offs or not.

Awesome tool. Right out of the package one sensor had broke , and had to replace the batteries on all components. Easy install, I used some outside 3M tape for a little extra security from falling off. ( maybe not needed but gave me peace of mind ). Downloaded the app onto our designated RV tablet and in no time we were up and running. After notifying the manufacturer, they sent us replacements right away. The customer service is awesome.

I got the 2-pack standard package of devices for my two LP tanks at the front of my 27 ft RV. Easy to install. Easy Bluetooth app setup. So far wonderful performance. I am NOT using the wall-mount sensor/monitor. Smartphone the better method for me to monitor LP gas in my two tanks. I highly recommend these devices. NOTE: I had to replace both of the small batteries in the sensors within a week of startup. New batteries now no problem after two months of use.

This thing works great and appears to be pretty accurate. Recently returned from a five day trip in our TT where we used this product for the first time on our two 20# LPG tanks. Tank 1 was down just a bit at the start and after five days, some nights of which required running the TT furnace we were down to one green LED for Tank 1 on the monitor. As we were leaving the KOA I had them refill the tank and it took 2.7 gallons (out of a max of 4.0 gallons). I mounted the monitor above my TT's control panel using Command velcro strips. I am well pleased with this product and how well it works. If I had any single one complaint it would be the green rubber/plastic/whatever spacers; as others have already stated they do not want to stay in place when moving the tank around, like taking it off for filling. I also put the iPhone app on my phone and it works great, too! It can be set to show either inches or percent of propane in the tank--I use percent and it seems to be very accurate. One tip: to prevent damage to the sensor and/or loss of the spacers, remove the sensor and spacers when removing the tank for filling, then put them back on as you put the tank back in place. Finally! A great way to monitor the level in the propane tanks!

No more guessing at tank levels! Are these sensors strictly necessary? No, of course not! There are other, cheaper, (free) ways to check your tank level. You can just pick up the tank and see how heavy it is. You can pour a cup of warm water down the side of the tank & see a line where the liquid level is. You can buy a gauge that attaches to the valve at the top (don't do this, they are very inaccurate). I have even pointed an infrared thermometer at the tank - the area of the tanks with liquid will always be a different temperature than where the tank is empty> That said, my wife has this weird anxiety about running out of propane. Our trailer has two 30lb bottles and an auto switching regulator. We also have a pretty small travel trailer. Even during the winter when we are running the furnace, I could probably go 45 days on the two tanks. Every evening before bed, and several times after I was long asleep, she would have a panic attack and make me go outside and pour a glass of warm water on the tank to verify that that furnace just turned off because the thermostat told it to, and not because we ran out of propane and we are about to freeze to death. Enter these tank sensors. Each is roughly the size and thickness of half a deck of playing cards. On one side there is a small rubber pad, about the size of a dime, and two strong magnets. to use them you simply lay your tank on its side for a moment, clean off any accumulated gunk off of the bottom, and stick it on with the magnets so that the rubber pad is as close to the center as you can get it. Each sensor has a green button on it. The first time you use them, you have to press the button 5 or 6 times in a row, very quickly, to take it out of shipping/battery saver mode. You only have to do that one time. When you download the accompanying app from the iOS App Store, or the Google Play store, the app will 'see' the sensors and give you a chance to configure and name them. In our case, I connected them one at a time so that I knew which tank was which. The app defaults to 20lb tanks, so I had to change it to match my 30lb ones, and I named the tanks "Driver Side" and "Passenger Side". Now, when my wife is worried about propane, she can just pick up her phone and see the exact levels. Note that the sensors are very picky about placement and about the tanks themselves being level. Before our most recent trip I had the truck and trailer parked out in front of the house, at the curb. With the passenger side tires in the gutter, the trailer was tilting very slightly to the passenger side. Parked like this, one of the tanks showed 6%, even though I had just had it filled. Once we were at the campsite and level, it correctly showed 100%. The sensors seem to work using something very much like sonar. By attaching to the bottom of the tank, they can emit a "ping" up through the liquid propane, which is reflected back by the surface of the liquid. The less liquid you have, the lower the surface is, the faster the ping makes it back to the sensor. it's actually super simple and has the potential to be very precise. Caveats: * These guys communicate via bluetooth. So you need to be within bluetooth range to get a reading. * Because the tanks are steel, they tend to kill the range, so the sensors come with a set of aluminum clips that you attach to the base ring on the tanks. They act as "feet" to raise the tank by 1/4 inch to improve reception. These things are incredibly flimsy. My kit came 8 of them for two tanks, and 3 broke while I was installing them. They do sell plastic rings that attach to the bottom of the tank which are supposed to be more durable, but they are $14 each and I can't bring myself to do that yet. * The sensors are only held on by magnets. If you regularly remove the tanks to take them to be refilled, you either need to handle them very carefully & not bang them around (and potentially lose a sensor), or remove the sensors and reinstall when you put the tank back on. * If you use those "tank exchange" services at the 7-11, you have to remember to grab your sensor and move it to the new tank. One of my sensors was defective out of the box. It read between 3% and 6% regardless of propane level, how level the trailer was, or if it was even attached to a tank. I did quite a bit of troubleshooting and testing before I contacted the manufacturer, just in case I was doing something wrong. I filled out the support form on their website and they responded via email within a couple of days. They asked for my mailing address, and sent me a new sensor, along with a prepaid shipping label to return the bad one. They also said that they would replace the aluminum spacers, but they didn't - so I am a little annoyed about that. All in all, would I buy them again? Yes, absolutely. They are easy to use once they are set up, they give my wife peace of mind, and if I'm honest, it makes me feel a little better too - being able to see that I have 37% remaining, as compared to lifting the tank up and thinking "That's still about half full...."

I purchased this for use with our R-Pod camping trailer. I built a support for the tank from PVC trim to raise the tank to allow for the sender. I had tested the sender on a tank that I knew was low and it seemed to be accurate. I switched it to a tank that was parially full (probably about 3/4 full), and it read full, so I am not so sure about the accuracy. Still though, it should be accurate enough to give me an idea of when the tank is getting low. After purchasing a single sender and trying it with the app, I purchased this set, not because I needed more senders, but because the phone app was annoying and was monitoring in the background, even though I had "closed" the app. That was unacceptable since the low tank was continuing to send warnings, even though I knew the status and did not want to be actively monitoring which takes battery life both of the phone and the sender. This one comes with two senders and a receiver unit. The receiver unit is quite small. It came with screws to mount it, but I intend to use either a 3M Command Strip (or equivalent) or hook-and-loop mounting so I can remove it easily for the inevitable battery changes. While I only have limited experience with it so far, I do recommend it to someone who wants to get a good idea of how much propane is remaining in the tank without having to go out and shake it or pour hot water over it (the most accurate method I have used so far which involves pouring hot water over the tank, waiting a few seconds, and then feeling the tank to determine where the tank changes from hot to cold which indicates the liquid level of the tank). It should help avoid those situations of running out of propane in the middle of the night.

Almost gave 4 stars but I just couldn’t bring myself to it after installing and getting accurate readings on both of my tanks. The only markdown would be on the rubber standoffs for the bottom of each tank. They will not stay on without modification. On the bottom of my tanks are oval holes equally spaced so I placed the rubber there. They immediately fell off before I could get the tank in the slot. So, I have some stainless nails I trimmed down to go through the rubber and through the oval a lot on the tank where they can’t go anywhere. Nails won’t come out due to rubber holding tight

bought a set and it had a faulty one I contacted the company and they took it back and refunded the money and I purchased another set and installed it. I have used these on my other RV and they work great. I would recommend this product to everyone. this new style even hooks up to your phone.

This is a must have for RV owners - I was super sick of not knowing when one of my tanks was going to run out. These devices have proven to be accurate and reliable. Two gripes (mentioned by other reviewers as well) that prevent a 5 star rating - the feet (needed to lift the tank off the surface it's sitting on to make room for the sensor) are pretty bad, you'll need to email the manufacturer and they'll send you aluminum ones. That said, they did respond and ship them to me extremely quickly, I'd just go ahead and do it at the same time you order this. Second, the batteries are a pain to get at (requires plying the case with a small screwdriver), and you WILL need to get at them. One of my batteries was DOA and needed immediate replacement, and they do go through batteries pretty quickly. Anyway, considering it's the only option out there, once it's working it does a fantastic job. The app (you'll need to be in Bluetooth range) is good enough for what it needs to do. Would recommend for any RV owner.
