I purchased this cash register for my one year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She will literally play with it for hours. I love that the toy is so small and simple and yet so interactive. You can put the coins in the slots, put the coins in the top and they slide down the back into the coin return, push the top to see the numbers spin, pull the red lever to open the cash register door and slide the credit card to see all of the coins drop down into the drawer. We haven't had any problems with the coins sticking in the coin return as other reviewers have mentioned - maybe Little Tikes fixed this problem? This toy isn't electronic at all, which I LOVE! No batteries, no noises, and still TONS of fun! I love the educational aspect as well - I can practice counting the coins with my daughter and sorting them by shape and size. She is also learning cause and effect by playing with this toy. The purple and orange coins are quite small and can completely fit inside my daughter's mouth. I do see that they have made holes in the coins that are probably for that exact reason - so that they can't obstruct a child's airway. However, the size of the coins at this point still make me nervous, so this is a with Mommy supervision toy! I also love that it is a great size - not too big to take up a ton of space, but not too small that it's not fun. We have a couple of different cash registers - some that are even far more "fancy" and expensive than this one - but this is by far my favorite!

My almost two year old instantly took to this. As soon as she walked in the room she said “wow!!” and has been messing with it since. She instantly figured out how it all worked too. It’s a great little toy and educational too with the matching colors and such. Great for her age. I was looking at electronic registers, but this fits her age so much better. She’s still playing with it now. Cute!

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter a few months ago to help develop her spacial perception and as a counting prop. She loves it! She spends a good amount of time playing with it, and considering how many toys she has available that is high praise. We're still working on counting, and she's shown quite a bit of improvement. She got the rest down fairly quickly, and yet she's not even close to being bored with it. You can't go wrong with this. Highly Recommend!

I bought this for a 2 & 5 year old. They both have a lot of fun with it. It's pretty durable and adorable. The only thing I would change is the back chute for the coins gets jammed up if you put different size coins in one after the other. There's lots of different ways to play with this with the different functions. I would for sure buy this again.

My toddler is obsessed with container type toys lately so I wasn't surprised by how much he loves this toy. He's almost 2 and has great fun inserting the coins, swiping the cards, pushing the top piece to see the numbers change, and hearing the register ring. This is a great toy that teaches numbers, colors, and size, as the 3 coins are small, medium and large. Toddler and I are really happy with this purchase :)

I bought this because my toddlers do pretend play with kitchen sets we have. This is an excellent item for 2 year old and plus toddlers as they work on their motor skills and learn how to match colors and sizes of the coins. I love the use of credit card and how it dispenses coins when you swipe it. This is far better than normal cash register that you can only press buttons and opens the cash drawer. It involves more activities and developed your children as they play. My 4 year-old and 2 year-old kids love this and they fight over it all the time.. my 4 year old requests to buy another one so that she can play it more...

We bought this for our 2 year old son. He played with it for 30 straight minutes on Xmas day giving me a wonderful break. He still spends 10-15 minutes with it at a time every day so I call that a win in toddler toys. Coins are numbered for older play and we talk about the colors. He loves the simple change slot and using the credit cards to release the coins in the sort slots. Nice strong plastic seems like it will last through 2 kiddos and still look new as long as we can keep track of the pieces.

I'm so happy with this toy! Bought it for my 2 year old autistic son for Christmas. We have used it as a learning toy, as he has to learn to play with it using all its features as opposed to just sorting the coins by color on the floor or just handling the coins. He has learned in a short time to put the coins in the proper slot and pull the lever to open the drawer. He plays with it often, and it's a great toy for a good price! Sturdy and not noisy.

When I bought this, I was thinking I'd get a decent to okay toy l, considering the low price point. The reviews were extremely positive so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so happy I did, because this toy holds some kind of fascination for children. My almost 18 month old son started playing with this and couldn't stop. The cash drawer opens with the pull of the red lever...once he learned this cause/effect relationship he was so excited and couldn't stop opening and closing. Inside are 9 coins of various sizes, a plastic bill and a credit card. The coins can be dropped though a slot at the top, or placed in the drop slots in the front of the machine. Swiping the credit card unlocks all coins and they drop back into the drawer to start all over again. My son was so proud that he could work all the levers and switches. I can see this being a toy that grows with him.
