One didn't work at first, but customer service was excellent (see Update)
I ordered this two-pack so I'd have a thermometer for the water and one for my turtle's basking area. I opened them up and put the batteries in and one works fine; the other displays only a letter L where the temperature is supposed to be. I don't want to return both since I need to keep tabs on the water temp so I guess I ended up getting one for the price of two. UPDATE: Due to the low cost, I didn't bother contacting the seller or sending the non-working thermometer back to Amazon. I just wrote it off as a minor loss. However, Lucy at Zacro read this review and emailed me. I didn't see the original message (went into spam) and she followed up and emailed again, which I did see, apologizing profusely and offering to send a new thermometer. Instead she sent a new package of two, both of which work. Then she followed up again on that, asking if they had arrived and were okay. I am really, really impressed with Zacro's customer service initiative and I'm changing this to a five-star rating for that reason.

great price for great gadget
I had been using small non-digital thermometers in my tanks, but they were difficult to read unless kept sparkling clean of algae. Since adding one of these, it has been much easier to monitor the temp of my tanks. I was setting up a new tank and trying to get the heater adjusted perfectly when I decided to order one of these. I got the second one as a bonus that I'm now using in my old tank. These thermometers both show a temperature that is within one degree of the non-digital ones I was using before. I can't say which is the most accurate and don't really care. A degree up or down isn't really too important since I aim for the middle of my fishes's preferred range. Knowing that the temp is within that range and stays constant is what is most important to me and my wet pets. These are the perfect size to be easily read while not being obtrusive.

Decent thermometers - good value and large readout
Decent thermometers for the money. They are within a degree or two of other thermometers I've checked to compare them. They are within 0.1 degree of each other. Readout is relatively large. I don't think they are backlit but for the price they are still nice. I've only used them for a few weeks and I keep them off most of the time so I can't comment on battery life. The probe on the end of a cable is a nice feature because you can put the readout somewhere convenient

Buy it - Your eyes will thank you
My 50+ eyes cannot read a regular tank thermometer without squinting. This little wonder allows me to see at a glance that everything is as it should be. I bought several, & outfitted each tank w/one & kept one exclusively for setting tap water temp for water-changes. Having found out the hard way that they are not drench proof, I sealed that unit in a baggie. Now if it falls into a sink full of water, it's not a problem.

Five Stars
After not having an aquarium for a few years, partly because I was upstairs and the floor wasn't as sturdy as I would like for a big tank, I moved downstairs and can now have as many aquariums as I want. But that means buying a lot of new equipment again. I loved having the option of buying two for just a few dollars more than buying one. Great deal! I have one of these set up in my 20 gallon tank and will set the other one up in my 55 as soon as I get it going again. I have always used the floating thermometers or the strips that stick to the glass and I was never really pleased with them. I never trusted the strips since I had several showing vastly different temperatures on the same tank, And the floating thermometers tended to either float and/or turn away from you and the ones with suction cups were always in the viewing area, and not always easy to read if I didn't have my glasses on. I love how I can know exactly what the temperature of my tank is to the tenth degree. The long cord means that I can run the probe anywhere I want it, and it's out of view. The display I power off once my tank is sitting at a steady temperature and can power it back on whenever I want to check it and I won't have to replace the battery as soon. The display also pops on and off of the suction cup easily so I can attach it to the back of my tank and it's not taking up room in the viewing area of my tank. I've checked the temperature with several other thermometers and this one seems very accurate. I'm happy with my purchase and will be back for more if I ever set up more than two tanks.

EXCELLENT FOR DWC OR BUBBLE BUCKET GROWING
This is an excellent thermometer for DWC and Bubble Bucket growing. I buy one for each bucket and use a wire twist tie and attach the probe to an air stone so it measures the water temperature towards the bottom of the bucket at the root zone. I then attached a small piece of velcro to the back of the device and a small piece to the front of the bucket. Perfect... Look at the bucket and always see the temp. Just like anything else, if the device (readout) accidentally falls into the bucket of nutrients, it will go blank and fail. I have brought it back to life by shaking it out, taking the battery out, and putting it into a ziplock baggie with some rice. But excellent device for reading temps in water. My first one lasted for well over a year before I had to change the battery. Cannot go wrong with this one. Cheap and simple. Highly recommend.

Very useful
I have it in both my aquariums now. With temperatures falling, i had to have some way to ensure that my heaters are doing their job. I have these units display temperature at all times so that I can look at it at the time of feeding and quickly do a check if all is well. I even changed the temperature setting on my heater and promptly saw the temperature reading change. Before this I had floating thermometers, which were impossible to read - I am not too concerned of exact readings, but need them to make sure my heater is not broken because it can get very cold inside my house in winter. Even if the battery life is a couple of months, it is worth it for me - once I get to warmer temperatures, I will set the display off and turn on on when needed, which I doubt I will since these batteries are very inexpensive. Update 12/30: I am using it for more than 2 months now with the same battery and display ON at all times - I will be buying another 1 for the new aquarium that I setup.

Accurate within a Degree
Compared to another slightly cheaper brand, Zacro thermometers are a bit more consistent and have their batteries packaged separately. All of the thermometer bodies appear to be identical except for Zacro branding on reverse. Water tested with Autidefy brand for two hours. All are pretty accurate within one degree as claimed. These are easier to read than glass thermometers and provide a good ballpark temperature to make sure my betta fish, shrimp, snails, and plants aren't too hot or cold.

Temp monitor a must have item; you water heater dial is probably harmfully off.
Temperature of both is within a few tenths of my calibrated source. So that speaks well for accuracy and consistency. I like there's a suction cup for the sensor and also for the monitor. The wire is hard to straighten (as are most, ugh) but the pass through suction cup is a nice touch. No back light but that's OK for me. I just want to gander on occasion. No alarm either. I suppose if I had very sensitive fish I might want high and low alarms. Mostly I want to check my temp vs stick on strips and float (away) inside thermometers. I highly recommend these - or something - as this showed my top-shelf water heater was about 4F higher than it's reading - and at or over the max temp for most fish. It was at 83.3F when the dial on the heater read 79F I liked the two-pack as I've put one on each end of the 55 gallon aquarium to make sure the temperature is realitvely constant - especially since the heater is at one end.

and These are great. They read accurate
I bought this product because my glass thermometers broke, and These are great. They read accurate, and haven't had to be replaced in the months that I've had them. Highly recommended for easy-to-read temperature recording. No regrets with this one.
