High Quality GHS Compliant Labels
Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals compliant. OSHA adopted in 2012 and approved. These are industrial labels meant for GHS labeling standards requirements. They are relatively expensive, but meet strict requirements for durability and longevity. Must be used with a laser printer. However one exception is that it can be used with the GHS Certified Epson ColorWorks C831 Industrial Inkjet Printer which has special inks. GJIC5 Ink Cartridges. With an inkjet, beautiful, crisp and durable labels are produced. They are hard to tear, stick very well and do not smudge. They resist scratching and are chemical resistant as specified. I am so glad Avery has produced an inkjet compatible version as we are using laser printers less. I do give them a minute or so to dry but afterwards they are very durable and water resistant. Top quality GHS label.

Heavy duty label/Excellent Adhesion - Great GHS Website Designs/SUPER easy to use!
Avery labels are quality labels and their easy to use Website makes designing customized labels a snap. You can print your labels at home or Avery will professionally print them for you. I've used this website countless times to print label at home and have found it incredibly easy to use and you can save your designs and reapply them to other label sizes which saves a lot of time. This is a heavier duty label used with pigment based-inkjet printer (I printed labels with Canon MB2020 and got excellent results). These labels are A LOT more expensive than other Avery 2" x 4" labels because they are waterproof, resistant to abrasion, UV and harsh chemicals. Avery claims these labels were tested and will remain adherent in seawater for at least 90-days. The adhesion is superior - these labels will not peel off once adhered to your products. I've labeled some gardening chemicals and placed the bottles outside for weeks and the labels have not faded nor are they showing signs of wear. If you need to print chemical labels at home, when you open the Avery.com website and insert the product number (60525) under templates, you currently can view 35 Industrial-Safety/GHS pre-made designs to assist in the development of your own customized chemical label. Once you select your design a "GHS label Quick Start Wizard" box will appear to prompt your to type in or select the following: CAS # Select Signal Word (danger or warning) Chemical Lot Information Company Information Select Hazard and/or Precautionary codes from a drop down box Lastly, Select GHS pictograms (GHS stands for: Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals) Then you can preview your label and print - it is EXTREMELY easy to use and the end product is a crisp professional looking, easy to read chemical label. Although this is an expensive label - you're receiving a quality product that will satisfactorily keep your chemicals properly labeled for a long time (even if stored outside) and assist with passing safety inspections with flying colors. Note: If you are looking for this label size (2" x 4") and do not need something that can withstand most of what mother nature can dish out (and also resist chemical damage), try Avery product number 8163 (it's the same size - but a lot less expensive).

Outstanding, durable Labels
I used for chemical containers I keep in a shed, such as pesticides and herbicides. I use to use standard paper labels, but they would shrivel and peal somewhat quickly from the outside humidity. These labels have works great and really look professional. At 2x4" they're large enough to print a nice bold title along with additional content information and hazard symbols. They labels are pretty much a plastic material with a matte finish which gives them incredible durability over standard paper labels. I use to have the laser printer version of this product, with which I had made numerous labels, all of which are still holding strong today. I'm glad to finally have the inkjet version as I can now add some color to my labels. One note... I have found these labels are pretty water resistant, providing they are applied to a dry surface.

Rugged, but expensive. Make sure you have a compatible printer and get the correct pigment type ink for full chemical resistance.

Super Easy! Great Product!
Excellent website walks you through it!

Excellent label for organization / business.
They don't seem any thicker than Avery's shipping labels, but the strength is night / day. Where the shipping can be easily torn into = the chemical labels can not, even with exerted effort. (cuts easily with scissors) This label composition seems to be an extremely thin layer of absorb-able plastic. If ink smears, it likely just needs to set 2-3 minutes before touching. We've found these perfect for upgrading chemicals & other products around the house & garage, and for the 5 gallon containers of commercial furniture strippers for our stripping business that we've been re-taping the label on for years = this label is now a permanent answer. The labels will come IMMEDIATELY back off, but if left on a minute = they'll be a bear to get off. We've been using a similar label for many years, and know once it sits, general removers don't seep through the surface to dissolve the adhesive. I can't imagine the difficulty to remove this "maximum strength marine-grade adhesive" We've received several sizes of this label, which is most convenient for a wide variety of containers.

Amazing Waterproof Durable labels!
I am not using these labels for their intended use which is Chemical labeling. I am using them them to label glass bottles with premixed essential oil cleaners and such. I did one test run and put the bottle through the dishwasher 6 times, scrubbed with two different kitchen scrub brushes as well as a scotch brillo pad and it stood up to the test. They seem to be about the same as any other label by just looking at it and I was honestly very surprised at how well it did! Make sure you instantly the Avery template to your computer. It also includes pre-made designs for standard chemical labeling. Pros: Durable - It took a lot of work on my part to get one to tear Sticky - Once applied and allowed to sit for a few minutes it stayed on the bottle High Quality - even with scratching with a brillo pad the label pretty much looked the same as it did before I started Waterproof I do not have anything negative to add at this time.

Super idea!
These are really good labels. I have labeled about everything in the house including plastic containers and cardboard boxes so decided to try some stuff outside like shovels and lawn equipment. They are holding up to the weather just fine. You can't tear them or at least I couldn't so they don't come off easily once they are on. You just go to the avery site and put in code number of whichever labels you want to print and it does the rest. I use a laser printer myself. I am trying to get my husband to organize his shed next since that would help me actually find things out there. He wasn't too happy when I labeled his gas cans...that's because some have gas, some kerosene and some mixed for small equipment. Ok, so he knows what is in each can but I have trouble remembering sometimes myself. And yes, I know we all know it's a gas can but that doesn't always mean it's just gas in it. Gee whiz, can't a person add a few labels (about a 100 probably to date) without someone having a hissy fit. Oh, heck, I forgot to label the tiller! Gotta get back out there!

FINALLY Essential Oil Product Labels I Can Make Myself That LAST! I Am SO EXCITED!
It was difficult to wait as long as I have to review these labels. However, it has taken a lot of time and endurance to test these out. BOY WAS IT WORTH IT! I have had a terrible problem with all of the products that I have been making. I do a lot of essential oil roller ball bottles, skin care body butters, inhalers, and other various skin care items. The problem is that after a short period of time, the labels that I have been able to put on them either come off or are ruined. I have been very frustrated. As I would like to eventually make products for sale, I could not figure out an economical way to design different labels for the large amount of special sized containers that I have. It is really hard to do a label that works on little round tubes but still looks good on larger containers too. When I found these labels, I can not tell you how excited they have made me!!! WHAT ARE THESE LABELS LIKE? These labels seem expensive at first, but they are high quality. There are 10 labels per sheet and each label is 2x4 inches in size. There is minimal edging on the sides of 1/8 inch. There is a header and footer of 1/2 inch. I want to make this very clear that you have to check to see if you have a PIGMENT based ink jet printer. There are not too many that have this type of ink (compared to the zillions on the market) so make absolutely sure that you have them. It is what makes the labels impervious to the elements. The surface of the labels is matte. They peel off easily and have lots of information on the back of each sheet in case you need to refer to it quickly. HOW DO THESE PERFORM FOR ME? Let me tell you, I am thrilled. I MEAN THRILLED with these labels. They are the PERFECT size for my products. I did not use the Avery online templates because I was finding problems with making the printouts line up with the labels on my printer. Instead, I used Coreldraw X7 and made a custom template so that I could fit each container that I have. This made it so that I could divide each label in half. I put the design at a 90 degree angle so that I could put two labels on each label on the sheet. When printed, I can cut them in half and they fit perfectly on my inhalers, lip balm tubes, roller ball bottles, and even my 4 and 8 oz body butter containers. The designs came out very nicely and clear enough, although I found that I had to make sure to use fonts that were clear and bold lest the letters turn out a bit blurry. The glue allows me to quickly replace the label, but once on the container for a short period of time- it is there to stay. I have found that so far it has lasted through oil, soap and water, and even just holding the containers constantly. I have been testing these several weeks now of hard use, but will update as I continue to use the items that are labeled to give more reports. WHAT I USED TO MAKE THESE LABELS CORELDRAW X7- laid out grid with same margins as the stickers and spaced them nicely on the template HP OFFICEJET PRO 8710 (a PIGMENTED INK JET) My own custom designed labels THE BOTTOM LINE I found that there were no problems with layout and the printer I used to print these labels. I have been able to put labels on my lip balms, body butters, skin creams, essential oil roller bottles and have them last through some hard use. The labels stick very well once in place and stand up to hard use. I am extremely excited to have a way to label my own items with creativity yet durability without having to invest a lot of money in having them printed up since I am not sure if I will expand this into business growth or not. I will update over time to let you know how they hold up. For now these have five stars with enthusiasm and smiles.

Exceptional Adhesion, Print Quality, Smooth Finish, Waterproof Images
While I am not using these labels for the intended use--chemical labeling--I'm finding them exceptionally durable and waterproof and great for adhering to difficult surfaces. First, you do need a pigment ink-based inkjet printer to have the durability and waterproof capabilities. If you don't, the packaging clearly shows that you won't have a waterproof, chemical resistant, abrasion resistant or UV resistant label (see photo). I used an HP PageWide Pro office inkjet and did confirm that it uses pigment ink. The printing surface of the label is exceptionally smooth, making the printed image and text very crisp and clean. I adhered the labels to several items, including - A Moleskine notebook, which I have had problems sticking other labels to in the past - A textured plastic surface, again with adherence issues This label will be permanent on these surfaces. The label stuck well and did not peel off when picked at. I will be using this to create custom labels for some bottles--perfect because of the adhesion, the professional print quality, the waterproof print and the smooth finish. Definitely a cut above other labels.?
