I have a confession to make. This is the first bottle of cat shampoo I have ever purchased. I had previously committed the sin of washing my super floof with my shampoo and occasionally my conditioner. However recently she has been getting more dandruff and looking a bit greasy not long after her baths (which are necessary as she can't always reach all her floofliness and occasionally will try to spray her territory and really mostly sprays herself). While she smelled fantastic, it just wasn't working anymore. So I hopped on good old Amazon perused the products and reviews and settled on Burts Bees, which I really had no opinion on the brand. I am happy to say, the shampoo is wonderful for her coat. She sadly does not smell fantastic, but understand why the product is unscented. She is shiny and her dandruff has been cut down to almost nothing. I would highly recommend this product.

Love this cat shampoo

Love this cat shampoo! It doesn’t have that awful strong scent many cat shampoos have and it works very well and rinses our easily and my cats’ fur comes out looking great!

Cat didn't mind...

Our cat was shedding quite a bit so we thought a bath might help with removing the loose hairs. The bath was a success (thanks mostly to the gracious temperament of our cat), and the cat shampoo worked great. Not too much lather, not too much fragrance, washed out completely.

Does the job.

It's a few weeks after using this product and my little girl's coat is still looking nice. She didn't have any reaction or itch or anything like that either. She asked me to give this product a one star because she hates baths, but since I have the thumbs between the two of us I gave it the 5 star review it deserved.

My cats LOVE this shampoo. It doesn't make them sick, their fur is bright white, their skin doesn't get flakey, and it doesn't have an awful scent.

Love this stuff!

I found out the hard way my cat has flea allergy dermatitis. I recently had neighbors move out and I'm pretty sure they had fleas and the fleas found my 3 cats. I had to take them all to the vet, my cat with flea allergies had to get a shot and antibiotics which made her fur very brittle and her skin extremely dry. I used this after the wounds healed shut and since it's natural it is safe to use and it has helped ease the itching from her dry skin. Her fur feels like fur again and I've only used it one time. I've waited a few days to use it again and today is the next day she can have it. I'm excited to see how much more she improves, I'll keep buying this, always. Burt's bees has always been a very trusted company with high standards in my opinion. I never get let down from their products.

My cat is sooooo SOFT!!!

I honestly wasn't expecting this product to work as amazingly as it did! It felt like I was running conditioner through my cats fur! It instantly soothed his dry coat and it didn't over dry my hands like most cat washes do. I love this cleanser! Will purchase again, and definitely recommend this to others!

Does not leave a scent!

I am really pleased with this! I'm taking care of my mom's 17-year-old cat, and he just wanted to sit on my lap but he did not smell good at all. I noticed also that his coat was greasier than it should be. So I ordered this shampoo and gave him a bath the next afternoon - the first one of his life, but definitely not his last! I did not think that it sudsed up too much, as another commenter wrote. After a thorough rinse, squeeze, rubdown, and blow-dry, the cat's fur is shiny, fluffy, and smells innocuous. My previous experiences using cat shampoo ended up with the cat smelling like shampoo - a perfumey fragrance. Cats dislike smelling like other things, and I'm sensitive to strong aromas, so I'm very pleased that this shampoo left the cat smelling like pretty much nothing. I am going to see if my mom will let me bathe him occasionally, since he's an old man now and can't groom himself like he used to.

It worked great for our Persian kitty who gets a lot of buildup and has a thick undercoat. The undercoat basically just washed out of her fur. It left behind zero scent or residue which is great for extremely sensitive kitties. No need for conditioner (I recently learned not to use it on pets... I had no idea that it could make them sick. :( ) This is our new go to for our cherished kitties.
