Super colorful and easy to cut to any size you need. A lot of the colors are really similar, but it gives you a good variety of colors to choose from if you're color correcting

Love the gels!

It was my first time shooting with gels, I love the quality. Don't use duct tape to hold them in place though it will pull off the clear coating. Attached is a photo using the blue and yellow gels that I shot.

Experiment with colors and enjoy

I purchased these transparent color sheets not to be used in special lighting in photography, but to illuminate shrubs, trees and like in color for the holidays. I cut out circles of 2.5, 3 and 3.25" and will use them for the various low voltage LED landscape lighting. The LED lights that I have do not get hot so I can place these color cutouts directly on the lenses. Have experimented with some colors, and with combination of colors with some rather interesting results (not all good). The colors should show up better in the winter when there is snow on the ground and on the plants, but even now the colors show up nicely.

Live in color

The management company installed LED lights in our apartments. While I am delighted for the environment the light is too strong for our tiny, ugly apartments. Immediately I turned to Amazon to find spot light gels. I chose these for the large size and a nice selection of colors. I was surprised how quickly they arrived because I am not a Prime Member. I put up all of them with magnets except over the sink I cut pieces to fit inside the light cover. They look really nice and it's more gentle to my eyes.

yellow & red for Kindle and Laptop

I got these purely for the yellow, orange, red filters. I cut them with an exact-o knife (I don't know who ran off with my paper cutter ... ) to fit the screen of my Kindle Paperwhite because at night the PaperWhite turns into a Paper-GREEN! I read my Kindle at night while I am winding down in bed, but it puts on this intense Green-blushish light which the research suggests is the worst for disrupting circadian rhythms and sleep parameters like to time fall asleep, and the restorative quality of sleep. Now my Kindle is 100% perfectly readable at night, no distortion or blurring, and it is a RED light, as far away as I can go on the visible light spectrum from green-blue. Right now I a cutting to fit a yellow or orange filter and attaching velcro strips to the edges to put on my laptop screen at night so I can still get work done, without compromising my sleep. The only thing that you need to know is that these do appear to scratch easily, so be mindful of that. On the upside, at least at the time of my purchase, these are really cheap so worst case if you scratch one up its an easy replacement. Previously I was wearing the UVEX industrial orange glasses at night with my kindle, which also function perfectly well, but I like to read my kindle laying on my side, in which case the glasses dig into my face and negates any enjoyment I have reading. I still use the UVEX for other applications and they are a fantastic product.

Vibrant Colors Baby....

Quality item.. Good color assortment. Special Note: please understand each color sheet has a very thin protective clear film layer..be sure to remove this for maximum pop for your project. For clarity, this means thin film layer each side of each piece. Recommended.

Works great in my barndoor without a frame.

A nice set of gels. These gels are not made of paper-like material. Instead, they are stiff and flexible at the same time. Made of fairly thin plastic with a removable protective wrap on both sides. Easy to cut to size with a paper cutter. The gels will stand alone in my barndoor filter holder without a frame. I liked them so much that I ordered another set.

Very thick and well made. True to color.

These are perfect for what I needed them for. They are very heavy weight, thick, with true colors. There is a film on them you need to remove so they don't look hazy (important to know if you want a clear sheet). Helpful for me when I had to draw on them.

Good quality - using as reading transparencies

I purchased these for reading gels, and they work great. They do have TWO layers of protective film (one on each side), so those must be removed before using. I cut them down to 8.5x11 size for reading textbooks. Good quality for the price! These are much better quality colors than I have used before. Once you remove the protective film, they are very clear. I put them in a plastic 3-ring punched sheet protector so they don't scratch when I carry them around in a book bag.

Good for my un intended use

For what I needed this for it works as described. I used it to take the brightness down out of our LED lights. If you are looking at this as a photographer and using with lights / flash -- quality thickness, I wouldn't say would be near the correct 'colors' as you'll find with the bigger name brands. But if you are looking to learn this is also the ticket as the colors are 'thicker' and it will help you see to learn. For the price you can't beat this product arriving at your door.
