this thing is a hand saver

this thing is no joke. i work at a meat processing facility and occasionally get knicks in my knifes. couple passes on this thing and they're pretty well gone.

Excellent Steel

I have high end home kitchen knives, as well as a high end set of catering knives and was in need of a good steel to help maintain the edges between sharpening. This is the first I've had that was oval instead of round, and it is by far the best steel I've ever had. Does a wonderful joy on my blades, and is really much easier to use than the round steel. I'll definitely buy a 2nd one to keep with my catering knives.

I take this everywhere, makes quick of a little sharpening. Only wish the grit was a bit finer.

Works Exceptionally Well!

A great addition to your kitchen. I have used various sharpening tools keep my knife sharp and this Diamond steel works exceptionally well. One only needs to dress the knife a few times before use and it truly does keep your knife razor sharp. Much better than a traditional steel. The great thing is this sharpener is cheap enough that I bought extras to give away to my friends so their knives will be razor sharp too when I visit to help cook. Very highly recommended.

It arrived quickly and I've tried it. Very pleased, sharped all my knives in a few minutes. It worked well and I especially liked the size and feel.

Not as good as a stone but good enough

Bought it to sharpen a knife and keep it sharp during a trip. Though it probably works great can never keep my knife super sharp. Still kept my knife sharper than not using anything or using the v shapped sharpeners so worth it

Works very well. Aggressive. Very few strokes will generally resharpen if the edge is functional at all. Sharpened all the kitchen knives in about 15 minutes. Maintenance is two or three light strokes.

More Expensive, but Worth the Extra Money!

I usually shop for lowest price on Amazon. This sharpener was twice what I wanted to pay, but decided to try it knowing if I wasn't satisfied I could return it. Well, no need to return . . . this is by far the BEST sharpener I have ever used and I go out of my way to sharpen my knives just to show friends how good it is.
