Works with dual HDMI to DVI cables!
Works well to split a 1080p 60hz signal to two DVI connections on 1080p monitors. I can't speak to how it will work with different connections but so far besides a brief period of adjusting to the new signal there has been no difference in signal quality for either of the two monitors. Packaging was secure and adapter included the necessary power adapter which is great. There are two indicator lights one red led for power and a much less intense green led for HDMI status (the lack of a blue LED is much welcome here). Construction seems solid for now - I'm not using this in a high insertion frequency situation, but connectors seem decently solid for medium duty usage. Made in china

This HDMI splitter did exactly what I needed it to ...
This HDMI splitter did exactly what I needed it to do. It splits the DirectTV signal from my wireless Genie client to two TVs and still retains the image quality up to 1080P even with both TVs on at the same time.

But I hated the Sony anyways and bought a Denon A/V receiver ...
It did not work with my Sony A/V Receiver for my computer to 24" LCD. The computer would not boot up. But I hated the Sony anyways and bought a Denon A/V receiver and tried it again and it worked perfectly. It's now working perfectly with two different Denon. Windows 7 Media Center (MCE / WMC) both are happy with the signal combined with my HDHomerun and Cablecard. The Denon receiver puts out the HDMI signal to the splitter where one end goes to my computer monitor and the other end to my 1080P Epson projector. Awesome.

Works Perfect!
First, I will say the unit works perfectly for me and if this is what your looking for, you shouldn't hesitate. Second I'll explain why I needed it and how I used it. I have a mid-grade Denon receiver (+/- $800) that had the HDMI video output go out. That's the only thing that stopped working and It only has 1 output. So, instead of buying another receiver that is only 3 years old I decided to use this device. I went from the output of my Cable box to this device and from this device to the receiver (which still plays audio thru HDMI input fine) and to the input of my TV. Works great, and I can still change any sound settings on my receiver thru my PC or phone app.

Does what i needed.....connect 2 tv's to Direct TV box
I had purchased another brand of hdmi splitter but had to return it because i couldnt get the two tvs to work. This time i bought one with power and it worked like a charm. Both tvs can now play the same channel from one Direct TV box. Perfect for sport events! I had to use a spare hdmi cable to attach from Direct tv box into the single input of this splitter. Then i used 2 other HDMI cables to go out of this splitter and into each TV. It works!

Works great as a HDCP Isolator!
I used this, not as a spliter, but just a pass through (1 in, 1 out), to isolate the theater audio from the projector. I was having HDCP handshake issues where the video would drop out and I would lose my picture because the handshake protocol between units is not universal. I was thinking it was the audio unit, as the video was fine connected directly but after a lot of research, I found it was a communication issue between the units. This spliter worked great, it repeats the HDCP signal and now there are no problems. An upside is that I now have the option to send the signal to another tv should I want to do that. This was a very cheap fix for an annoying problem.

Great product, great price. (I have three of these.)
I have purchased three of these over the past few years and each one works perfectly. This is a SPLITTER and not a switch (one input to two outputs). Two of these are used to share HDMI connections with a TV and a video projector, the other is used to share the signal between a TV and computer monitor (with my desktop computer). When using it with my computer - the image is mirrored and not extended (just an fyi).

SOWTECH HDMI Splitter
This item does everything it says, but be careful which HDMI cord you get for running of a Dish Network DVR box for example. Get the HDMI cord that has an Ethernet feature as part of its modern equipment because my switch wouldn't work until I used a really bulked up, highly capable HDMI cord with Ethernet capabilities, but boy was I glad I ordered that cord or I would not have known why things weren't working. It's the right switch, & it's a good switch; just get the right cord!

Worked well for Xfinity's X1 and Slingbox 500.
The item did the job. I purchased this to use between a Slignbox 500 and Xfinity's X1 cable box, which did allow the bypass the HDCP encryption and recovered the Slingbox's frame grab functionality. The setup was extremely easy, basic plug and play. However, to know is that with this setup, you will need additional HDMI cables to make the whole setup work. Overall, happy with the result.
