Great knife, only reason I bought it is because it wasn’t included with the set I bought. It’s a little pricey but fills the empty slot in the block. Overall great product.

Great bread knife

I purchased a Calphalon knife block set that had a empty slot for this knife. The quality of the Calphalon knives is great.

Really Good Knives

These are realty great knives, I ordered the bread knife which does NOT come with as well. My wife was well pleased. As long as you keep away from dishwasher, they should last a lifetime. Quality steel.... Are there better, YES, but not at this price!

Cuts bread!

I purchased this knife to match the set I purchased....that had a space for a bread knife but wasn't included with the set. It's a knife conspiracy to hit a price point, I get it. Matches the other knives and works well. Always remember, when cutting bread, make sure the bottom is face up! Face Down, A...nevermind, you had to be there.

For those who don't know

This was a gift to my daughter who didn't pay attention or realize how bad her bread knife was. Sometimes you just have to guide them to better quality item so they can count on you to cut good crusty bread at their house when you visit. Just a subtle hint, she loved it too.

Performs better than expected

Performs better than expected. I was surprised at how well this goes through breads of all types. VERY sharp on arrival.

Slice your bread as thick or as thin as you like.

Excellent Bread Knife. Sharp as you'd ever want a knife to be. What I like least is the price. It does not come with the kit and is a bit pricey.
