Tough hammer and great warranty
Got this little 4 lb devil for Christmas last year and use it primarily to drive my new Fiskars 8 lb ISO Core splitting maul when splitting some tough firewood rounds. After some pretty aggressive hammering - the head of the hammer broke free of the handle. The head never came off, it just slid down the handle. Stopped right there, took a picture and filled out an on line Fiskars warranty and went back to splitting. The next day I got a call from Fiskars requesting the defective hammer back for quality control testing and they shipped a new one right out. Great hammer, excellent customer support and I'm back in the swing. I'm hard on my tools and Fiskars stands behind their products.

it is good.
Although this hammer came with a sticker on it which reads, "5X MORE DESTRUCTIVE," I have found it to deliver the same amount of destruction as my previous 4lb sledge. However, it has proven to be 5x more durable. Thus, it is good.

This is a great companion for a Kindling Cracker
Received a Kindling Cracker for xmas and a dead blow hammer was not cutting it. I bought this and what a world of difference. It has a great feel and no vibration after striking. I also picked up the 4lb as well. The 4lb is a beast but yet does not wear you out. I use the 4lb to split heavy oak and anything smaller I go to the 3lb. I would highly recommend the Fiskars IsoCore line to anyone looking. Don't even compare to others just buy it and you'll be glad you did.

Very nice hammer. Reduces vibration compared to a hickory handle ...
Very nice hammer. Reduces vibration compared to a hickory handle by a considerable margin. I use it in my blacksmith shop almost every day. the only flaw I have found is that the handle is a little shorter than I am used to so I feel that I am choking up on it (of course after a couple of hours I am thankful for the shorter handle).

Mjolnir ... ‘nuff said.
A hammer for the gods! We all know that Fiskars switched out the ancient wording of uru ore for today’s modern vocab of “forged steel.” What they don’t tell you is that this hammer was forged in the heart of a dying star and imbued with magical properties that actually give it its improved strike accuracy and maximized destructive force. They did seem to make some improvements on the handle swapping out the uru ore one with new a vibranium model (giving it the title isocore) which provides its excellent shock absorption. Sure they painted it black and orange to fit their brand and removed some of the Nordic rune artwork but let’s call this sledgehammer what it is. Mjolnir. Whether you need it to drive in some stakes, crack some concrete, or tame the Hulk, this hammer will do the job. The big brother to Mjolnir is also pictured and again it’s just a rebranded and slightly tuned Stormbreaker. Clearly they upgraded the handle from Groot’s severed arm to vibranium which gives it a bit more of a refined and modern look and feel. So whether your name is Thor, Bill or something else entirely all you need to wield one of these excellent tools is to be worthy. And a bit of cash of course. Asgardian enchantment doesn’t come cheap.

This club hammer does EXACTLY what I purchased it for
I received this club hammer in two-days and tried it out immediately. This club hammer does EXACTLY what I purchased it for; splitting logs. I split several seasoned logs at least 18" in diameter using a 4-direction wedge. I also purchased the Estwing wedge and true to comments it bounced out of cracks. Anyway this club hammer starts the wedge and if you kneel and hammer it WILL drive the wedge to split the log. I'm 64 and this club hammer isn't too heavy for repeat blows. For the logs with knots, I started the wedge, then used a 12 pound sledge to finish the split. I plan on using this club hammer for many years.

Really Nice and Compact
Really like the feel and notice a shock decrease versus Estwing hammers I have used.....

I found the BEEF
I LIKE THIS BEEFY HAMMER!!! You won't be asking "Wheres the Beef" when you pick up this hammer. (You have to be my age to know where that phrase came from.) Don't overlook the "Big Brother" to this hammer, the 4 pounder is nice too.
