I am always searching for the perfect knife for the specific job. This is the closest I've found for carry knife for my summer business. I run a seasonal bakery, and am constantly opening oversize bags, and taped up cartons. This knife is pointed enough and sharp enough, and one hand opening enough to quickly open everything I need opened, no matter the thickness or material. Could it be replaced by a hardware store utility knife? Probably. But this knife also has STYLE! Probably keep it on after my bakery closes for the season. That's how happy I am with it! Almost forgot! Along with the lock that keeps the blade open, there a safety lock that keeps the blade from opening in your pocket. I like that feature a lot!

I have been looking for a knife with pocket clip and blade point up when closed spring assist. This knife meets my needs, Quick draw and blade opening in one step. Other knives are over $100. This is a great starter and training knife for those that want a quick draw knife. Love it. I am disabled and need protection in places that do not allow guns.

This is one great little knife! I was so totally surprised how nice this knife is for the money. The blade comes relatively sharp but I honed it up for good measure and it holds its edge like a $200 knife! The opening mechanism is outstanding! It is a little difficult to open with just your thumb, but once you see how well it opens with your fore finger on the opening mechanism, you won't even worry about opening it with your thumb. It is a great "disposable" knife to always have on you. Well made and feels solid in your hand. And again, it opens so fast you will not hesitate to use it for self defense if need be.

This spring assisted folder by Grand Way is one of the best Chinese knives I've purchased. It's perfectly sized for my hand, easy to carry, and works very well. The blade shape is just right to cover most, if not all, light to medium cutting tasks one is likely to run in to. Mine came well sharpened but it's easy to sharpen with a plain ol' butchers steel. I just love it. Highly recommended!

I purchased the black 440C steel, spring assisted knife. The knife has good weight and fits comfortably in my hand. The knife can be opened with one hand, by pulling the top lever back with the index finger. Because the knife is small and can be opened with one hand, it makes a good defensive concealment knife. An attacker would never know of your knife until it was too late for him. The knife blade is extremely sharp so be careful. I do not know how well this knife blade will keeps it sharpness. I do know that better knife blades will keep their sharpness longer. People with larger hands may need a larger handled knife than this one. As I said, for me it fits well in my hand as a defensive concealment knife. The one thing that concerns me is the belt clip. If it was wider where it attaches to the knife it would prevent it from bending or possibly breaking. The belt clip is ok right now, but over time, it might break. I am satisfied with my purchase and would purchase this knife again.

I like this knife very much, it's well made, especially at the low price they charge, and it's very sharp. No it's not a high end knife, but it is very good for a daily carry knife. Really like the assisted open feature and design.I recommend this knife very highly

I have been looking for a new knife to carry daily since my old one fell apart and my current one was a little too small for my liking. This knife has been perfect for my needs and it is my new favorite knife. I am very satisfied with the spring assist in the knife. I have had a few spring assist knives in the past but they were clumsy when opening and not very safe to carry around in your pocket as I have had them open in my pocket a few times. This one is the complete opposite and very easy to open one handed. Even my girl friend who has small hands has no problem opening this knife with one hand. The pressure required to open the knife is perfect so you can maintain a steady grip without having to push to hard and sacrifice your grip. The safety is a wonderful feature making it safer to carry everyday without the risk of having it open unintentionally. It looks great and feels great without looking to gaudy. The clip slides easily into your pants pocket or wherever.

Really like this knife, the one drawback is that there is a lock on the back of the knife that gets loose and stops you from opening / closing the blade. It tends to slide into the locked position randomly, I solved it by taking the knife apart and putting it back together without the slide lock. the screws are T9 and T7 type screws which are pretty small. I am still giving the knife 5 stars because I really like it otherwise and it's very inexpensive.

For the record, this is my third Grandway Knife and ALL THREE have been excellent blades. This blade came to me razor sharp out of the box. I like to test the blade of each new knife with the phonebook or newsprint cut. This tests the fine edge of the blade.....100% smooth clean cut through copier paper, newsprint, and thin phonebook paper. I then like to cut sisal rope to test the overall edge....again 100% great cuts I finished off with cutting a strain of 550 paracord into about 1/2 inch sections......great cutting The steel is 440C (a Chinese alloy) and retains a good edge even after these test cuts. The spring assist is only marginal. That is not a huge deal to me, but with a larger bladed folder like this it would be good to have a bigger spring. The knife was perfectly centered when closed so that is a plus. Once again, this knife does not feel like a $16 knife. I would pay twice that for this type of quality. PROS: * Super sharp out of the box * Perfectly centered CONS: * Spring assist is on the weak side * Large knife (may not be a con, just might be big for some people to EDC with) * Not a great choice for self-defense, but a GREAT choice for utility tasks. Overall this blade has earned a spot in my everyday knife rotation. It is a great utility blade and up to many tasks.
