The answer is "Yes" It CAN, It DOES and It Will do what it says! Over and Over
I purchased these bags to use in my FoodSaver 4840. First things first. These rolls will NOT fit in the Foodsaver 4840 model. Not because it is to wide but because the roll is to thick. As for other models I cannot say. This does not bother me as I am more concerned with how well the product performs. After you have used it awhile it will fit in the 4840 enough about that. I use my Foodsaver for many different things. I make homemade bacon, sausage, etc. I just bagged 37 bags of homemade maple cured bacon. This bacon takes time and isn't necessarily cheap to do. I want to put my bacon in a food storage bag that I can trust. I package all of my meats in these and never once have I worried about their ability to do their job. These bags are strong coming in at 4mills (that is strong considering I seal crawlspaces at 6mil). I have used a lot of these bags and have never had one not seal. If you do have one that doesn't want to seal I can pretty much assure you that it is something that you are doing wrong. FoodSaver bags cost way to much for what they are. You are not sacrificing quality if that is something that you are worrying about. I would put these up against any other brand out there. There are a ton of uses for these bags but that is not what this review is for. What you need to know is do they work? Are they really any good at that price point? Will they last? The answer to all of your questions is "YES." They really are a GOOD bag! in fact you can even call them GREAT! (they are not magical) They will do what you want them to do at a what I think is a very reasonable price. I trust them for my pretty expensive meats. Really just try them. With a 3 Month Guarantee you can't go wrong. Yes, I did. I paid full price for this item. And I’m still going to give you my fair take on how I feel about the product after I fully tested it. This I enjoy doing and I hope that I’ve helped someone come to informed purchasing decision. I am not affiliated with the seller, the manufacturer or Amazon. Edited 11/28/16 Just wanted to update that I have had zero failures with this batch of 37 bags. That's also after several bags fell out of the freezer onto the concrete floor. I have more bacon, homemade sausage, venison going in now. I know this is a product that I can and will rely on for a long time to come.

Very Good Quality Bags
Purchased these bags to work with my new FoodSaver GameSaver Big Game Vacuum Sealing System. The weekend I received theses bags I used them to store 30 plus lbs of Brisket, Pork and Fish. The bags seemed to be of very good quality and felt pretty much like the more expensive Foodsaver bags. I had no problems with any bags coming unsealed in the freezer. The bags did not fit in my machine (I knew that before ordering so no big deal). The rolls will eventually fit and until then I'm confident in my ability to cut and seal a bag while the roll is outside my Foodsaver. It makes no sense to purchase in bulk in an attempt to save some money and then spend more than necessary to bag your food. I feel confident these bags will work every bit as good as the manufacturer's bags.

Excellent Vacuum Sealer bag rolls
I have vacuum sealed so many items over the past decades that it would fill a book. We make many things in November for a huge Christmas Family Reunion and Feast, so we need excellent quality rolls of vacuum seal bags. These are among the best we have used. These bags seal, unlike many others. These bags vacuum properly, and not half way as some other bags do. I will reorder these bags, which I have used to vacuum seal 16 kinds of pies about a dozen of each, with no problem, over 400 pieces of fudge candy with no problem, and numerous items I used the vacuum seal to get the marinade inside the meat. It is simple to cut the 50 foot rolls into 18 to 20 ft rolls to fit our vacuum sealer. We save the core rolls and use them, laying a yard stick on the table and winding the 50 foot rolls end to end to get the 18 - 20 ft length, rolls that shorter roll tightly, tape and it and keep going. Within 10 minutes or less we have 2 qty 50 foot rolls reduced to the size we can use. then do we use them! Smoked chicken and sausage are weighed and vacuum sealed to get us a head start on jambalaya, etouffee, and gumbo and other dishes. That is the only way we can actually prepare feasts for flood relief workers (over 300 at a time), all the teachers and staff in our nearby school, all the neighbors in our neighborhood, etc. We use these bags all year.

Great Product
Your bags are excellent! They work perfectly with our new Food Saver sealer. Our new sealer came with bags from the manufacturer so we used both those and yours. Not having the little white “measurement marks” is no big deal, they’re pretty useless anyway. The white area where you are suppose to write in also becomes useless because once the bag is sealed it’s all scrunched up making it almost impossible to write in it. The only drawback is that with the large roll you have to manually make that first cut then do the initial seal for the bottom. The roll is too large to sit in the machine. Once you use enough of the roll, it fits perfectly. We'll definitely purchase these again.

Great new product at a very reasonable price,
I have been using brand name bags for years as I watched the cost go up. I ran across the Nutri-lock product while searching Amazon for a good deal on bags and decided to try them. The price was certainly attractive. They arrived in two days and I had the opportunity to put them to use yesterday portioning and freezing several pounds of chicken and pork chops.. I am more than pleased with this product. They are a little lighter weight than major brands but I think it's a plus as they do not bunch up under the seal wire when packaging a bulky load like chicken breasts. I tend to "skimp" on bag size and sometimes try to put more in the bag than I should which often results in failure to seal properly. I used about 15 feet in 12 inch segments, 15 bags, with no seal failures. If you use any kind of vacuum sealer you'll be pleased with the way this product performs.

and showed me how the sealer sucked the air out of the bag
I had ordered the Nutri-Lock bags at the same time I ordered a Geryon Vacuum Sealer. We had never had a sealer before, always just using Zip-Lock bags and trying to get as much air out as possible. My wife used both in freezing veggies from our garden, I was gone at the time. She showed me the results, telling me of the learning curve in using both the sealer and the bags, especially pre-freezing the veggies so there would be less liquid which would interrupt the sealing of the bags. Later, she had some cauliflower from the garden which she had prepared and slightly pre-frozen, and showed me how the sealer sucked the air out of the bag, then sealed it. REMARKABLE! The Nutri-Lock bags work WONDERFULLY with that sealer, and I would highly recommend to any looking to make a similar purchase to get both products. Thank you for your follow-up letter to assure that there were no problems, and to accrue feedback. It demonstrates to me that your company is one which values their customers. Sincerely, customer Lakewood, Colorado

GREAT PRODUCT - BIG MONEY SAVER!
This product is great! Now, understand that they are much too big to fit in my Foodsaver 5800 series vacu-sealer. All you need is a piece of tape, either a cardboard roll from a Foodsaver bag roll or a paper towel roll, and a little patience. Simply tape the end of the large roll to the cardboard roll, and roll up enough to fit into your vacu-sealer. Then cut off the roll and use! Eventually (and it does take a LONG time as these rolls are huge!), you'll be able to fit the roll into your machine. The bags themselves are identical to the high-priced ones, and the only difference that I can see is there are no white areas to write on.........If that's a deal breaker for you, then by all means, spend more money!

This was a great find. I had bought a ziploc vacuum sealer ...
This was a great find. I had bought a ziploc vacuum sealer awhile ago and it came with quite a few bags. We recently ran out and priced the OEM stuff and it was really expensive. This is a great alternative. Very easy to use. You seal one end and then cut to the length you need, add food and seal the other end. Works perfectly with our vacuum sealer.

Get the right length to cut.
It was delivered 2 items together which made me happy to begin with. It took only a few minutes to set it up. We tried to vacuum seal some some 50 pounds of fish that my wife had dried up on the clothesline outside for two days. The first vacuuming was not done correctly due the odd shapes of dried fish but the second bags on, they vacuumed and sealed perfectly. It took more and more time as we went along to vacuum/seal all the fish but we had time and patient. I tried a $169 dollar machine but had to return it to the store because it had unnecessary features such as cutter, etc. We simply cut the bag roll at the length that we needed and worked perfect. I almost got burned my thumb when I accidently touched the bag around the seal that was still hot. I am happy because my wife happy and cannot wait to vacuum seal other food items. Now she is going through two refrigerators and freezers to see if she can vacuum seal them. It a a fun toy for my wife who is approaching 80 years of age in April. Thanks Nutr-Lock Vacuum and Amazon.com as always for your vast selection of merchandise and prompt and professional handling of customers.

Great product AWESOME price
We buy meat when it is on sale, we like wood grilled and smoked, when we fire up the grill or smoker we make the most of it, generally 40 to 100 lbs of meat at a time. Vac and seal in meat to feed 2. "great for portion control" got a freezer full of leg quarters, boneless breasts and thighs, pork chops, smoked and baked turkey, bags of chili. and great for home grown veggies too. way better than store bought frozen food and way less expensive. These bags are higher quality and lower price than what you get in the store.
